Hi everyone,
I upgraded to LvsW's latest ROM (AKU2.3), and everything seems fine. Much much faster as promised ! However, the only problem seems to be connecting via GPRS. I have configured all of the Orange UK GPRS settings correctly, but it refuses to connect.
Is anyone else having these problems ?
Cheers,
Dan
Yes ... same thing happened to me. There's something funky with this ROM, Orange and GPRS.
After considerable debugging, I changed to the LVSW AKU3.2 ROM and GPRS worked (except Activesync/charging did not ...) and now I'm running Jesterz AKU2.2. stripped ROM without any problems and waiting for a confirmed stable AKU3.xx version

Same problem but
I did the update to 2.3 and yes GPRS was not working, I waste 2 weeks doing all the configurations possibles. Same for MMS.
Then I did the upgrade to 2.3.1 and was worst as My QTEK died totally.
I re-installed the 2.3 and not idea why I did the configuration of the GPRS of this link (S100 model works too)
http://www.100pour100mobile.com/?module=fme&action=showmobile&id=441&oper=2
and voila is working. WAP GPRS. MMS GPRS. email is not working as I do not have the data operator package.

´bout time!
It doesnot seem to do a thing!
I´ve been looking at "Step 4" of the install manual pdf file for half an hour now...... nothing......
Finaly got it to work
Left it standing like that overnight.
Still nothing.
rebooted PC and tried again. This got me a few steps further but it got stuck on step 6 now..... Only now my Magician wouldnot startup anymore!!
Just the grey screen with the faint USB on it.........
Exited the upgrade programm. (ctr-alt-del) and restarted it again.
Now it skipped the first part and took off from where it crashed! (neat!)
Started copying files etc.
Everythin went smoothly from here on.... Finaly.....
Damn this caused me a lot of sweat and swears!
I hope it is worth it.

Hi All
I have to say it worked fine for me first time with no hiccups - touch wood!
Hi all,
the web ROM version look like not a newest version, in the xda fttp server there are iMate USA Rom version is:
ROM Ver: 1.12.00WWE
Radio Ver: 1.12.10
ExtROM Ver: 1.12.188WWE
Regards,
MMgirlMM
Worked in 1 time, did a hard-reset first to clean the device & the upgrade was painless. Only gprs now has connection problems. Anyone a solution? The gb-soft tweak doesn't help.
Worked fine for me and GPRS worked fine too! I'm waitting for the next release version with Blackberry mail client intergrated!
blackberry is supported in the 1.13 roms. At least in the dutch and german versions. I'm using the dutch version (english) and still having gprs hic-ups though, like I had with the UK 1.12. Not using bb at the moment too expensive, another 10€ per month. Can't compare battery life or speed, but seems ok if not better than before (did not re-install sbp pp, so that can account for the noticed improvements as well). in another thread it is claimed that UK 1.13 ia big-storage compatible as well.
Greeting M.
I upgraded the radio ROM on my Universal to 1.13 from 1.11 on the AKU3.2 ROM, and have not been getting any pushmail since.
It could just be a mail2web problem, or it could be an issue with the 1.13 working on AKU3.2 I suppose.
I can still make calls, use PIE, and Opera, and Agile with no problems though.
Any ideas?
I have just tried an Orange SIM and a T-Mobile USIM, and I am getting the same issues on each.
Opera working, Agile Messenger working, push mail not, and will not sync with mail2web, just says waiting for network. PIE also fails to work now I have checked it with something not cached.
It is also failing to sign onto the new WLM Mobile beta that was working fine on Saturday.
Strange coincidence maybe, but seems odd that GPRS/UMTS works fine for Opera and Agile, but not PIE or push
I need a non FTP link to the 1.11 radio ROM now I think
I just found an issue with Agile Messenger 7.4 on 3 different WM6.1 ROMs. I also had someone else verify that it was happening and not just an issue with my phone (Thanks mcmexican). This was tested with DCS 1.7 along with uttys_Official_WM6.1_Rom_5.2.1971, and XTRM-X1.0. Agile can be downloaded here. http://agilemobile.com/wm.html and has a 7 day trial if anyone wants to test it out.
I'm able to get Agile Messenger to work fine with the February ROM from AT&T, but so far it doesn't appear to work with the WM6.1 ROMs on the Kaiser platform. When attempting to connect Agile Messenger tries to initiate a new GPRS/3G dial out, even if you are already connected with an active data session. This tries and then fails several times before you receive the standard message that a GPRS/3G connection could not be established. The indicator at the top of the screen shows 3G or H and you can still browse the web or send email.
Agile Messenger 7.4 was working fine on a Hermes with the Stock AT&T and various other ROMs (WM6 and WM 6.1) from XDA. I've tried it without upgrading the radio using the standard AT&T radio and also using the three 6.1 compatible radios with the same result. I'm willing to bet that it's something odd with WM 6.1 on the Kaiser since it works fine on a Wizard and a Hermes. Can anyone do some troubleshooting?
try slueth's or dk's 3.02 based rom..
DK 3.02 works fine with Agile Messenger. Thanks for the suggestion. I wonder what is causing the problem with the other ROMs.
did you use the auto "connection settup"? or did u enter your settings manually? that little program showed to be problematic for some people including me, so I entered mine manually. I'm running dcs 1.7
Works for me on every ROM i tested out so far.
Is it not a radio problem....
Using (payed) version 7.4

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked my connection settings and the Network Wizard set my Access Point Name to isp.cingular. I changed it to wap.cingular, which is what the stock AT&T ROM set it as and I now have Agile Messenger working on the Mobile Vista 1.1 ROM.
i had the same problem, and the connection wizard setup the proxy on the internet connections, once i went in and unchecked that box it worked just fine for me.
Hi
I have a S710 Vox (Original HTC, not Orange or something)
Since the firmwareupdate, i have troubles with wifi.
Before, i could access it at my hole appartment with "auto" power.
Now, I have to change the WiFi settings to "fullpower" to get a connection to internet.
It doesnt depend how far I am away from my AP. (testet with 1m distance on FritzBoxFonWlan, LaFonera and Zyxel 660Series)
When i am close to the APs, i have full signal strengh...
When i change the wifisettings to fullpower, it emties my battery within 2 hours....
What could be the reason that i can't connect with the "Auto"-Powersettings?
Bringing up...
I've reflashed with the original ROM. First thing I tried is WLAN. Still same issues.
Is there anyone having any Idea why my WLAN is just running with "MAx-Power"-Setting`?
Tried serveral AccessPoints
solved
Installed WM6.1
Now it works

Jep.
Did u also have that issue?
Hello,
I flashed my phone with HTC Tornado WM6 Std few weeks ago. During last 14 days I'm getting information from friends that I'm randomly unavailable.
I'm using ActiveSync to Exchange email sync and Slick (ICQ) was installed on the phone (not executed anyway). Yesterday I sent a SMS and few seconds later I got a SMS from operator with the list of calls that the network was unable to connect.
I suspect that GPRS/EDGE ActiveSync synchronization is causing the phone unavailable for voice calls. But this is against the GPRS standard.
Is it "normal" for this device or it may be the Radio ROM problem (4.1.13.28_02.61.01)?
Thank you

I have a Qtek 8310 and I've been encountering the same problem all the time on different WM6.1 ROMs. My operator says it shouldn't be so (i.e. this is not their fault). In my case the problem only appears when I'm downloading something. The moment after the download is over the incoming call comes through fine.
I tried different radio versions from original 02.20.01 till 2.71.01 (from a different HTC device). None helped. I only noticed that the older 2.20.01 is more stable in general.
Well, I still don't know the answer, so let's see what other people say...
Works fine now...
Since my last post I've done 2 things: tried WM6.1 Pro RC7 and WM6.5 and changed mobile operator.
1) with any Pro ROM radio worked very stable, without that issue, but I had to switch back to 6.1 Std ROM because it's more comfortable for me.
2) after I had changed mobile operator from a small local one to on of the federal, now everything works fine even on Std ROM.
So, the answer is probably ROM-operator incompatibility.
