How can I do to put a nk.nbf file in a sd card and upgrade my s200 from sd?
I have a G4 device and I can't do a backup from my rom.

I remember I read somewhere else, that you have to dump your ROM to the SD card. By the way, the dumped ROM is not a nk.nbf file. It is a image, not a regular nbf file.
Long time ago, my friend's PDA was dead, so he used mine (same model of course) to dump the ROM to a SD card, and then recovered with that SD card image. As far as I remembered, there is no file on that SD card, only an image. But I could be mistaken.
The SD card is always the ultimate solution if you brick your device. You need to find another PDA (same model) to dump the ROM to an SD card, I guess.

I was trying to install the following rom:

For some reason I am unable to do so. I have an 8GB SDHC card. I have insterted it in the Palm using a Mini SD card reader. It's formatted to Fat 32. I copied the file on the sd card and did the soft reset. This took me to boot loader. After that nothing happened. At this time the installation is suppose to start for Windows 6.1 but nothing happens. My phone is unlocked.
I'd suggest trying with non-sdhc card...

Thanks I found a way without using the SD Card. I started using the Kaiser RUU file with the Cheetah.nbh file. Which safely installed Windows 6.1 on my cheetah without an SD or SDHC card.

couple of days ago I partiotioned my sd card by rom manager (created an ext partiotion).. since i did that, i cant take photos ("Unable to save file to SD card due to insufficient permissions"), and i cant use nandroid backup (cant save on the sd card)..
what should i do? format the sd card and flash rom?

I got a rooted and modded LG GT540 and I use a partitioned 4GB SD card (1 ext2 and 1 main partition).
Now I want to put a new 8GB or 16GB card on my phone. Is there a way to copy all the layout of the old card and build the new in such a way that it will be directly recognized by the phone, so that I dont set again the phone from the beginning?

Hi there, just copy paste. If yo have a SD card reader use the computer for the new card and the phone as external disk. Copy your phone's SD card and replaces it with the new one. I recommend to stay with the original brand of the SD card which is often Sandisk.
But wouldn't that just copy data and not the partitions?

And that's exactly why I started this thread. I could just do the obvious and try to copy everything. However I believe there are some issues if you' re about moving to a larger SD. For instance, what about the ext2 partition. Should it be the same size? Should it be the same percentage against main partition?

I have installed some costume roms and am happy with them. But when it comes to storage i have just 140mb free :crying: so thats not enought
one time my brother was able to install a costum rom into sd card so it booted from sd card and i had more memory(i had my sd card memory about 1gb free memory) and when i installed another coutume rom the ROM that was inside the sd card was deleted. Now i dont know how to install a costume rom inside of the sd card again :/ can sombody help me?? Just want to install roms into sd card so i can have more free space
Iv searched and i read that i need to have a .img rom but i couldnt find 1 :/ Anybody can help how to install a rom inside of sdcard ??
