dear all members...
just wondering, if there is a software for xda that can give an alarm when (forexample) we make 20mins of outgoing call... my provider give me first 20 minutes free call every night, so i want to hang up my call at 19min so i dont have to pay....
i hope the software is fully customize, about the minutes and the reminder tone...
thx alll!!
Think this has been covered in here before, but I'll repeat.
There aren't too many, but one that I was glad to pay for is Hudson Phonedashboard.

Not only does it track your minutes but, as you wish for, give you warnings when you reach a certain percentage of your allocated minutes.
Cheers
Ant
hi thx Anton
i just downloaded phone dashboard 118 trial and played around. but can this software give warning everytime i make (for ex. 19 minutes) ougoing calls to everybody?
i couldnt find that feature in this software....
thanks
Every now and then, probably after using it for a couple of days, my TC gets problems with the phone function. First, it will not notify me of incoming calls, these get diverted to the voice mail. Second, when I try to make a call, it starts to dial, but the dialing never succeeds. After a minute or so of dialing it just ends the call.
I found out the following funny thing: when it is dialing, if I push the off-button at that time, the screen goes off and the sound comes on. I'm even properly connected to the person I'm trying to call!! So the connection was already there, I just can't hear anything, neither can the other person, until I push the off-button.
This behaviour doesn't happen all the time, just after a day or so of use. The solution is to soft-reset the device, not really a solution though in my opinion. Switching the phone off and on in the comm.manager doesn't help. Is there any bettter solution? I'm using the standard dutch ROM.
Thanks! Wouter

Does a different radio ROM help?
I'm a bit scared for doing that... It hasn't always been like this, so I'd rather send it back I think.

If it's under warranty, do that!

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem since a week with bepe 0.67 rom.
Please, anyone with the same problem?
sounds a little similar to this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2374406
hopefully that ^ solves the problem
Thanks for your reaction. It's not the same problem though, when my problem occurs it stays. I can never make a phone call normally again anymore, nor receive a call. I have to soft reset.

Do you have Webis Note2Self installed?
I cloned my device's software and settings to a new one from the shelve. After a few days the problem occured again. So it's probably not a hardware problem in my case. With the problem occuring, I changed the phone settings from Auto to GSM and the UMTS settings from Auto to GSM(900+1800)+UMTS(2100), both didn't solve the problem when it was occuring.
Then I opened Memmaid and discovered there was an instance of Note2Self (Webis) under the running processes. I closed that one down and closed Memmaid and then the problem was gone!!
On their forum, other users report about audio issues. I'm looking in to this further. I'm using N2S 2.01 build 2326.
[edit]
Yes! Upgrading to version 2.03 solved my problem! Finally!

Yes, I am!!
I'll upgrade, thanks.
I had the same issue with the standard WM6 ROM thats the whole reason I changed to Diamond R4 ROm, has not happened since then. One thing I did notice is that I had my phone in my hand and it came out of sleepmode by it's self and 3 minutes later after putting it back to sleep I receive a message to say I had voice mail. Now I am thinking that the phone knew a call was comming in but it was to lazy to ring so it just sent it to voice mail. When I tried to call voice mail the phone connected but there was no sound. I had to power cycle the phone for it to work again.
Hello all, I recently purchased an Intermec CN3 running Windows Mobile 5 on the Sprint CDMA network for development purposes and am having a couple of issues. It uses EV-DO Rev A I believe which allows for simultaneous voice/data, just for the record.
The first is the device randomly wakes up and turns on the screen. This morning, when I was in the car, I would push the power button to put the device in sleep mode.. every 15 seconds the screen would pop back on. I do not know if this is due to it trying to grab email, or what. However, now that I am at work, it has not come on in a few minutes. This is all random.
The only idea is that SEVEN, a push email service, is starting data on the device and it is waking up. I tried using a config tool to have data always on and this did not fix the issue. It will wake up even when there is no new email. I also have Battery Pack Pro installed.
My second issue is, when someone calls my phone and the phone is in sleep mode it takes about 5 rings for my phone to even register a call is coming in.. when my phone rings twice, the call goes to voicemail. Is there a way to tweak WM to make this faster?
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
This actually reminds me of the bugs present when we ported WM5 for the Blue Angel (same exact bugs)...
It might seem that you are right on your assumption of the data transfer. Try to disable/disconnect the EVDO connection (put it in Flight mode) and see if the device still wakes up by itself.
As far as the ring delay, you may want to read through this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=258109
This is a patch that was for both Himalaya and Blue Angel, but should in theory work for other WM5 devices as it seems to be modifications to the registry rather than anything else.
Just so you know, I do not believe that the CN3 is a HTC device, but since your problem was mildly general, you got lucky
Good luck...
Thanks for the reply.
It is certainly not an HTC device however this forum has some of the most knowledgeable people around and figured I'd give it a shot.
As you stated, this is a fairly generic question probably related to software and configuration.
You could try over in the Developers Forum that Intermec just launched. It's at http://community.intermec.com.
o2 xda exec switching off
i have been using my o2 xda exec for 1 year now.
there is some problem with it now, it is continuously switching off
and i need to connect it to the power supply to turn it back on.
this happens very frequently, even the battery will be full, whenever i use the camera or the music player or even receive a call this is happening.
after it switches off it just does not turn on, if i try to switch it on, the windows mobile blue screen comes up and the mobile turns off.
i have to connect it to the power supply to get it going.
please help me, i am finding it difficult to even change the ROM as it turns off even when connected to the PC!!!!!!!!!!
please help please!!!!!!!!
Have you tried another battery? Sounds like it could be that, as it does turn on when there is power? That would be what I would try first anyways.
Stu
yes
yes i have got a new battery and tried with that also.
by the way it stays on in battery power for two hours or so on stand by, but after that if i use some application or even receive a call , it will switch off!!!!!
