Spectec WiFi broken after Flash - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 Software Upgrading

Hi all,
These forums have been a great help over the last months, but I recently re-flashed my device to start with a clean slate, so I used the T-mobile 1.13 NL version (which, for whatever reason, is actually english).
For whatever reason, my spectec wifi card is no longer working. The device still sees tha card, but is cannot connect to any networks. I read a random post on another site that t-mobile is intentionally blocking the use of wifi on the rom, but I find that hard to believe since my brother has a T-mobile device with the wifi working full well, and since T-mobile themselves operate commercial hotspots.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Do you know of any drivers for your Wi-Fi card? The T-Mobile ROM may lack some fringe features such as these... try finding and installing them first. (And no, I don't actually have a wi-fi card but I thought I should just say something helpful first )

Hi,
I hv the same problem as well after upgrading to 1.13ROM+1.13 Radio & big storage. I am using Spectec 802.11b WLAN card n downloaded the driver from spectec website, mine is a Dopod 828+. Anyway your guide on the magician ROM upgrade is a lifesaver! Kudos to you, toomuchdogfur!!

Is this combination working in Singapore?
XDAII/WM5/Sandisk Wifi card- Connect "SDWSDB-000".
Sandisk Wifi card was working fine with WM2003SE. After WM5 upgrade, It does not work anymore.
ok i got the spectec card!
its like westswamp said, just install driver and have fun!
its really cool having wlan on an mda2
Yes - I too use a Spectec card (SDW-821) and it just works great under WM2005, just like it is meant to.....
The only slight glitch I have found is that if I have used GPRS to connect to the internet over GSM, I need to soft reset before the wi-fi card will connect again, but that's the only issue.
Otherwise its great. Even the "power saving" on the card works fine, with the card led going to sleep when its not actually being used for a while and then coming back to life ok...
Got mine from e-Bay from one of those overseas "buy it now" traders for a steal..... Something like £28 delivered when the UK shops wanted over £50...

Imate Jam (charcoal -128mb) which rom?

Hi!
Anyone have my phone or similar and know which Cotulla rom I should upgrade with? I only have 2003SE and have an iPhone 3g and to be honest disappointed with it!! Will be in the market for a new smartphone/ppc soon but atm would be interested in breathing some new life into this old phone. I don't use much data (grps) but have the Sandisk Wificard which I use at hotspots, etc. English rom aswell, thanks!
Thanks very much!!
Barry
EDIT: Uggh.. just realised my Sandisk 256mb+WIFI card only works with 2003 and below!! ( Guess no way to get it working on wm6??
2nd EDIT: Doh.. just realised you can only upgrade with XP!! Any chance of Windows 2k? I have only got Vista and 2k.. I presume the reason for XP is for the ActiveSync? Thanks
These would oughta work and fills your requirements
http://www.cotulla.pp.ru/Magician1.html
Sorry bout the Vista part it seems unless you search a round abit, the USB drivers on Vista don't seem to work properly. You could try flashing on Windows 2000. It's either it will or it won't detect the phone during the RUU's detecttion procedure

If your phone has a SIM Card Slot then its a GSM Model. If it has no SIM Card then its CDMA.
Ohhhh I see Thank you ever so much.
Would this be the right ROM to use - just making sure, before I start to read all the instructions ..............

You didnt say what phone you have - so we cant tell!
If you have a GSM phone (sim card) then you want to start reading here If however you have a CDMA phone (no sim card) then here would be a good place to look

Steveyg, Touch Pro's are CDMA too. No one wants to help you if you're going to brick your device. Are you GSM or CDMA? We will assist as much as possible, but help us by answering that simple question.
Ohhh I understand now
Mine is a phone with a SIM, thus GSM is that correct?

Radio is comparable to something like your WiFi card in your laptop. Depending on your location, etc, some radios are better than others. They control your signal, GPS, WiFi, etc. The most used one that I've seen is 1.14.25.35
UC Capable is something you need when you start cooking. If you're new to the Raph, you probably don't need this info yet.
SPL is the most important. Since you bought your device pre-flashed with 6.5, is should be hardSPL. This helps prevent your device from becoming an expensive paperweight. Now, it helps, but doesn't guarantee. If you put your device into bootloader (hold vol-, hold power, and reset with stylus) your device at the top of your screen should say something like SPL-1.90.Olinex. This means it's hardSPL and you are able to flash custom ROMS, like the NRGZ28 ROM you linked to. As long as they are GSM you should be able to flash any ROM for the GSM Touch Pro.
These are the basics so just keep reading the wiki. I will answer any questions I can, so just shoot me a PM if needed
Hey, if you want to flash your Raphael, I'd recommend you read this
I did my first, regardint this thread, and actually worked, really simple if you ask me!
Some suggestions: Leave the radio, for first, just do a simple ROM flash, and after that if you find it nessescery you can do it later.
The only ROM I tried for my Raphael is TAEL's ROM, it's amazing compared to the stock ROMs!!! If you're intrested click on it in my signature!
I have the following ROM;-
r:- 1.11.25.01
g:-52.58.25.30u
d 5. phoenix
Do I have to revert to a OEM ROM? If so, where do I find those please?
Good news, I've been sucessfull Phoned imaged to TAEL Roms - very good.
Could of questions;-
1. Don't have the sat nav the other image had. Can't remember the name of it. but I used to use that quite alot. Does anyone know where I can download it from?
2. Used to have an application called FLASHLIGHT - great little app. Its a TOURCH application that used the FLASH Light. Really handy. Where can I download it please.
Many thanks.

1) are you talking about the garmin or tomtom gps software? or the one where you use the GPS to lock down a location (kinda like "dude where's my car?" app for the iphone)
search on the forums under software development subforum. it's called Torch.. that or NueLight.
Thanks I managed to find the torch light thing, but still can't find the sat nav. Not sure what the name was. It was really good though. Wasn't the tom tom navigator. Wish I made a note of it, as it was fully working version :-(
are you talking about the GPS navigation software? if so then it's either garmin (mobile XT) or tomtom
Hi,
Looking on my storage card Managed to find the name - AUTO MAPA. Tried to load it from the storage card, and it works. So I have copied the exe to the start menu, multimedia folder and it works great
Whats this GARMIN Mobile XT like then?
Since updating to TAEL Rom, my signal is very low and keeps disconnecting from the network.
Do I need to upgrade my RADIO then?
My version is;-
1.11.25.01
I found this one, would this work ?
http://www.4shared.com/file/133094257/1e1ce983/BlackStone_Radio_1172509.html
try testing other radio. I changed my radio to the new ATT official rom (not so new anymore but it was the latest updated ATT rom). Test it out for a few days each and map out what you think works best and keep to that.
One thing I noticed is that some radios will crash your phone after a call.. they may give you better signals, but it will crash your phone, so be aware of that.
Hi,
Thanks for the message. Does it matter that I am on TMOBILE and not ATT ?

WOWPad etc. update

Hi everybody.
Just thought Id let you know that I recently got my WOWPad, and except for a few software glitches, after a bit of tinkering with, have now been able to:
1: Put on a 128GB Memory stick (yes GB not MB)
2: Run internet from my USB 3G Stick, with broadband speed, not GPRS
Im currently in the UK, and internet access is through Vodafone.
I will put on here at some stage the tools and guide on what i did to get it running
Wopad woes....
Same boat.. countless bug after bug.. would be great if we could get everything we needed to roll our own rom for this device. These god damn chinatab makers wanna sell ya trash, then flat out refuse to release the sources needed to make your purchased trash useful...
Seems not much pride has been taken in the OS port.. But hey, what can you expect from people working for half a grain of rice a day..
Hi
Any details of how to you got this working?
Thanks
G

Installing Android 4.0 on CUBE UT9GT2

hi guys i have the U9GT2 with android 2.3, i have problems with 3g dodgle, i bought one which is confirmed as "supported" on the user manual but when i plug it in, its leds just stay blue for 3 times then everything dies, when i unplug it everything goes back to normal.
I then bought this thing "HUAWEI E5832s" and i can surf the WIFI (3g), but i want to use my 3G pen.
The OTG ports doesnt have any problems cause i can link it to the computer and it doesnt stop working, as well as USB flashdisk.
On the cube website there is this file :
U9GT 2固件V1.05【安卓4.0系统】(1、修改机器软件安装空间为1GB;2、修改人脸识别功能;3、支持FLASH在线视频;4、图片/视频可全屏播放;5、修正默认时间等问题)(232MB)
it s what i have to download in order to upgrade the system?
Please help me out, i tried to search on the internet but i cant find any solution.
On some chinese forums i read that some users use this 3g dogle SCV SEV759, but i m not willing to buy another 3G dodgle...
oh yes.. i m living in italy.
look here for answers: link or here: link
but just upgrade your device if you miss something besides the 3G, because ICS is very good but without some knowledge it can cause some unconvenient trouble
and yes the file you found is to upgrade your device
