Are the Problems you've mentioned appear with all the paging Roms (8MB, 12MB, 16MB)?
about your Rom-edition: till now, i didn't install any CAB from the Extended Rom Folder (original Dopod Rom), because i don't need them.

I've finally installed your Rom and the CABs you've mentioned. It works fine, but i habe still one Problem. My Calendar doesn't remind me, when i habe a appointment. Normally it reminds me 15 mins before (i set that so).
Is this a bug?
One other question: i made the ExtRom Folder on my device visible and can delete the cabs inside it. But i can't install programms in that folder.
Do you know how can i use that 9MB?

but i can delete the files in ExtRom Folder. Now i have about 9MB free in this folder.
if i try to copy data in this folder, first i get an error message, but the files is on that folder. Only the last files doesn't copy. If i try to copy the last file once more, there is no error message anymore.
so i think the folder is not only "Read only", you can fill them with files, but can't install programms on that folder.

by the way, this Rom is only for G3, because i also tried to install on my device, but get stuck after the RUU is finish (100%).
my XDA neo doesn't make anything, even i make a softreset

Intall on G4
I used this link to install on my O2 Neo. Its run fine and fast. I did try the other file the Originally, however, When i soft reset the phone zzzzi went back into the boot loader and stuck there.
I re-installed my old Dopod rom then used the link below. It intalls using the PDAMobiz G4 method and seems to work fine. The only thing i dislike about it is the Radio Rom.

My only complaint is this Rom uses Voice Speed Dailer (crappy) vs Voice Commander. Is there any way to put Voice Commander in this Rom or to install it as a Cab?

I think a lot here want to know why this Rom is faster. Like changes or omissions in the registry etc. Also what is the specific difference between 12 and 8 mb page pool?
I counted more than 5 ROM updates and combinations I did on my Prophet and tired of checking each one by uprading that comes out. A little specific explanation what's in the bowels of those ROMs being released will help.

With new CommManager WiFi have problems.
You can remove Battery Icon (look attach)
I like the Battery Icon and found that the new COMM manager is slow too!
need to flash again... what a pain ...

Not global differents between AKU2.3 and AKU2.3.1 (only drivers and syslibs)

1. AKU2.3 8MB page pool cannot display some pdf files using ClearVue 2.4.2. Someone did confirm this error.
2. AKU2.3.1 12MB page pool can display the same pdf files in #1 using ClearVue 2.4.2. That is why I believe 8MB page pool would be responsible for this error.
3. AKU2.3 8MB page pool and AKU2.3.1 12MB page pool have the same conflict between Transcriber vs Windows Media Player. Details were described in lvsw's AKU2.3 thread. If WMP is still running in memory it will be very difficult to activate Transcriber. I have to activate Phone Pad first and then Transcriber. But once Transcriber was activated, WMP will not be able to play any mp3 files no longer. Soft reset only (I cannot remove Transcriber from the memory... ). Need someone to duplicate this error.
Any suggestion is appreciated.

Hi, did you test LVSW AKu2.0 or the original Qtek Aku2.0 Rom?
If yes, whitch Rom from LVSW (Aku2.0, Aku2.3 or Aku2.3.1) is in your opinion the best?

You are trying to flash you device - and you don´t even know how.
So please first read before doing something wrong.
BTW- the nk.nbf is a file inside a RUU folder or and WInrar exe.
SO replace teh nk.nbf from an RUU with this file - and flash.
BTW - the first psot RUUsplash.ip contains a nk.nbf just replace - i guess.
There isn't any exe file!!

The X-Button version is 1.0, build 27666. I didn't catch the downrev version. NYD, feel free to post and I'll add it to the first post - thanks.
The RUU that I included in the first post is just for the splash screen, and already includes a nb.nbk file. Its only purpose is to update your IPL/SPL picture. Use whatever method you usually use for your phone version - G3/G4.

Select what to include in your custom ROM and press the green triangle under the File menu. Close the BuildOS utility after the procedure finishes and the word "Done" appears on the status bar.

Wait for the OS to be built.
Create the ROM by selecting the appropriate files and entering the right values EXACTLY AS SHOWN in the following image and pressing Translate.
Your new custom ROM in located in C:\TORN\FLASH. Run the ROMUpdateUtility and enjoy....
Please refer to the WM6 Platinum Edition thread for more info on this ROM.
Don't forget to SuperCID your phone and "format BINFS" before flashing!

One question... I would like to add my custom apps to the kitchen. I understand I have to place the files to C:\Torn\WORK\OEM\App_name, put registry entries to RGU file, and make appropriate initflashfiles.txt and option.xml files.
But how to choose names for DSM and RGU files? Does it only have to be uniqe?

You need to replace the system files too (SYS directory) with the newer ones. The original ROM is used only for the XIP (kernel). I've never had the free time to use this kitchen with the new OS, btw.

There is a utility from Microsoft for generating those names. But I simply use a random name and it works.

Thanks Nitro. I will play around with it. Probably I can get the system files using Molskis kitchen and move them over. Will keep you posted. Edit: too risky... dare not risk my old faithful
I did some cooking test. However, apps that were omitted were in the nk.nbf eg. Celetask and a few others. Is anything wrong or my doing is incorrect?

Edit: Since NiTro isnt full time with us here, hopefully someone can followup on this and upgrade it for WM6.1. OR someone with the expertise can give a guide on which WM6.1 files to populate which folders in the kitchen remembering to keep NiTro's fantastic tweaks! That would be very helpful. (I use Molskis' kitchen to view contents of the nk.nbf, so that wont be too difficult, for me I think, to proceed.)

I have not come across a stable cooked WM6.1 ROM yet. I tried one which can be found elsewhere in this Tornado forum was quite buggy. (Probably that's the ROM I was commenting on that you are now referring to. There was talk of extracting from the emulator. So, if someone could do a successful extraction then it could be used to populate Nitro's kitchen which used v5.2.1711 instead of v5.2.19202.

i've been surprised to have the windows media player 'fullscreen - problem' with this rom. somewhere in the discussion i understood that this is fixed now. but unfortunately it is not, wmp stays only some seconds in fullscreen. or did i miss something?
another surprise is that wmp does not support youtube streaming by default - well yes that is a microsoft feature. i have tried some fixes/tools posted in this forum but could not get it working.
and i realised that the wmp is very much slower than the old wm5 one. again i'm not sure if this is already known, but i even tried to play around with the processor speed to get some performance out of wmp. is there a fix anywhere?
of course i checked this forum for solutions, but i found no real hint.
so dear nitro, even if something is very good there are allways buggers that will find something to gossip about.

THE NEXT ROM I BUILD IS 21109, AND THEME IS FINAL FANTASY
- wav, ringtones, icon, TF 2D light black and light blue, S2U2,....v...v.
OK i have now downloading the "Herald-USPL-Beta3" after that i extract it and put the files in RUU. Then i startet "herald-uspl.exe" and follow the intruductions...

Great.Will surely download your rom
Weather problems.
First of all I loved this rom, good job on it. But I can not get the weather to work. When I install the Manila 2D weather proxy, I can not get touch flo started again. If I unistall the proxy, touch flo works. I am using the tzone hack with TMobile. I hope someone have some ideas that might help...thanks.
I just compared it with the PdaViet rom of the same build, I noticed that you had just changed a few things in that rom so that it looks to be your rom. If you would like to contribute in some way then I request you to build your owm rom for the release on xda-developers, because taking the credit on some other person's rom is not fair for his good work.

what do you want to know I do? general from different roms. I have to compare and replace the file (*.reg, rgu, dat, dll,icon,....) from different roms. files,... is nice, I replaced. I downloaded ship rom for Touch HD and Herald. dump them!,Xip,... this is main!! after replace the files that different roms has. I don't copy any roms!!! I build it for my girlfriend! the rom combine the good things of some roms. If you think so I am very sad!! I take a week to do it! my purpose to give a forum for bro to find bugs in the rom because it is firts my rom for mg.

I want to tell you about a bug in the rom - The volume_control is very slow compared to the one in the Open Touch v7 roms(it is instant in those roms).

I loaded the WWE G3 version onto my G3, and it is quite nice.
It has plenty of applications, and no fancy home screen.
I like it! I only wish it had the finger touch like Angel ROM or Tech Teamup's NSN.
I have not yet tried with a SIM card, but it works nicely over Wifi.

For enable Touch Scrolling like TouchFLO, you can install a trial (but working always) FTouchSL OR change registry: run Total Commander, 2x tap on adress bar, select gestrues, change disabled value to 0. And make after circ. 1 minute a SR.

Now this might be my favorite ROM.
Fast, stable, very much available ram and flash (especially on G3).
I like the selection of applications.
A perfect ROM for use with SPB Mobile Shell.

Hello,
I just flashed your ROM, works fine!
With nueSM, how can the ExtROM be formatted? Which one is the extrom? If I open nueSM I can see my SD memory card, TrueFFS, TRUEFFS and TrueFFS DiskOnChip M-Systems.
Which one of the latter three is ExtROM?
With FileExp I and can see the ExtROM even on my pc with AS, but in nueSM i cant see it listed as ExtROM. So please advice
ps. I suppose there is no need to keep those files that can now be found in ExtROM since we can format the whole ExtROM, right? Or should I run something or install before deleting and formatting the whole ExtROM?
