Guys, I need a copy of the Samsung's registry, if anyone's got access. Would help with some interesting new hacks. I'd be very grateful if anyone with access could get in touch.

Hi All,
My friend has just bought a Wizard and I noticed that it has a nice little device lock application on the home screen. Does anyone know where I can get this little app
for my XDA II running WM 2003 SE?
Cheers,
Richard.
Is it possible to rip this app from the WM 2005 Wizard ROM somehow?
I checked one of the EXT_ROM images I found but couldn't see anything obvious
in there. Could it be built into the main ROM perhaps?
cheers,
Richard.
We tried before to find the file responsible for this utility, so we could be able to bind it to a hardbutton and take it off the todayscreen, but no luck. No-one knows what file is responsible for this app. sorry guys.
the registry points to "shutil.dll" - I suppose this is a fairly generic shell utilities DLL, but as there is no further 'entry point' data in the registry, just hooking that up as a Today item should automatically provide the required data ? Unless it polls an additional DLL, of course, but a resource explorer check of that DLL (if you can copy it) should be able to point any of that out?
I'm a newbie so please be kind
I am looking to rid my Samsung Omnia of the Verizon Wireless banner.
I have Resco to utilize the Registry, I just need to know what to do and perhaps get a few more hints and tweaks?
Thanks in advance to anyone who responds!
Kindest Regards..
I recently purchased a htc snap S523, i have the same question that a lot of people have asked, re LED notification time out. I understand changing some of the values in the registry files may fix this, but the big question is, how do you access the registry files to make those changes.
I ve searched the net trying to find registry editing software, but no good, i dont mind if i have to pay for it but can someone please recommend a trusting website?
"desperate for the blink"
Thank you,
Reace.
Hopefully someone answers my question instead of letting it go "unanswered" - I would really appreciate it.
My question is simply if anyone knows where I can obtain Windows Mobile 2003 operating system for my Samsung SCH-i730 PDA. I lost it trying to upgrade to WM5 and got distracted and ended up making a mistake during the new installation.
Can someone tell me if it's even available, and if so, where might I be able to get this software to load it back onto the device. Your help is greatly appreciated. FYI: my device is the "Verizon" model. Thanks again.
Hello xda-developers
I'd like to know if there's a common registry editor (or method) which gives full access on all Windows Phone 7 devices (HTC, Samsung, LG, ...)? It really would help me with my tutorial (which is already on in the development section - just needs some improvement)
If there's no tool which can do it, please tell me which phone model you have and which registry editor you tried and like
I'd really appreciate your help Thanks in advance!
I think there are registry editors for WP7, but they only work on developer or unlocked phones. Normal marketplace certified apps aren't allowed to manipulate registry in that way.
By the way: how does this unofficial registry editor work? Usage of private API involved?
Yes, it's homebrew and not allowed on the marketplace. And I guess the unofficial registry editors work with those private API's.
Well, still searching for a good method to edit registry on all devices By the way: Does someone know a good registry editor for HTC devices?
hello,
btw, is there a reg editor for HD7 that will give access to the 'access restricted', so as to be able to do some of the recomendations? It seems everyone is seeking a solution, but I didn't see any real answer or programs out there to do...
just that hb for the samsung...
hope someone has an answer soon..
thanks
Well, I'm not into registry editors for HTC devices, but maybe someone can help you By the way, it's important to tell us what version of WP7 you use (7004, 7008 or higher..)
Thanks
