Hello All,
I want to do USB DUN with my Cingular Treo 750 using Windows XP and I need the modem driver. If I activate the modem on the 750, and connect it via USB, XP asks for a driver, which it cannot find. I carefully checked through the Cingular CD and there's just nothing there. Googling the problem basically turns up nothing. Any thoughts?

Anyone know of a USB Treo modem driver that works on Vista??
The one in the previous post link on to the Palm site is ONLY for XP--they suggest using Bluetooth instead!!!
well Sf-Jeff i know there is a driver out for vista...i think its somewhere on treocentral forums...hope this helps...that is where i got it from

Hi guys , can anyone tell me how to upgrade the rom in vista? due to previous experience with vista, my old XDA IIi bricked due to incomplete upgrading.. ( vista blocked )
anyone can share their experience? TQ
I try many times to flah my htc under windows vista !
The process still crashing or not respond !
so i flash under windows XP. It's mor safe !
I think this problem is due to the new software of synchronisation include in windows vista.
But i haven't investigate more.

its the USB driver in Vista. It can be changed. Search my other posts.

I just tried last night to flash my device using my vista laptop and i just couldnt make it work.
The vista update utility is version 2.0x and i need a vista update utility 2.5.x or higher to update my G4 device
So I prefer flashin my device using my old Win XP. Any luck of a vista update utility version 2.5.x or higher??
I also follow the tutorial in modaco and i can tell you that If you have a G3 device using the vista update utility you wont have any problem.

I am looking for a link to a working HTC Generic 1.90.405.1 ROM.
I found the one in the Wiki but the RUU crashes instantly on my XP PC & on my Vista Notebook so looking for another download to try.
Can anyone help ?

Why don't you try to extract the rom itself from the installer and replace it in a different RUU? Just a suggestion...
I am having trouble installing Windows Mobile 6.5 on a HTC Touch HD. I have extrected all the files to a folder and then I have connected my Touch To the computer and have activated activesync. I have then opened up the PDA Phone Rom Update Utility and followed the instructions. The HTC Touch HD gets stuck on 0% and the PDA Phone Rom Update Utility displays an error 262-the update utility has encounterd Communication problems with the device. how can i resolve this problem?
Which Operating system are you using on your PC?
When on XP what ActiveSync version?
Did you hard-SPL the HD?
and, did you make sure your device is actually detected and installed on your PC properly?
Hey, I have encountered the same problem when I was trying to downgrade my HD from WM 6.5 to 6.1. You may try to upgrade your SPL to 1.56, then cook the ROM to your phone again. At least that how I cooked my HD first time.

Is there any trick to upgrade a blackstone to WM 6.5 used by Touch HD2, i mean, the rom from htc site for touch hd2.

Hey there,
Please do not try and flash an HD2 rom to your HD, or you will end up bricking your device.
If you want 6.5 on your HD, head over to the blackstone forum, Hardspl and choose the rom of your choice.
Make sure you understand the instructions for hardpsl and flashing (it isnt that difficult really).
If all goes wrong, put your phone into bootloader and flash back the official HD rom.

i have a htc touch hd mobile with 6.1 windows with spl 1.54.0000 .....i want to upgrade it to 6.5 windows but i am new in this so i want someone's help.... i have seen some stuff in your site but i have difficulties in the start....my htc does not even connect to the pc.... when i enter the bootloader mode it doesn't tell me usb on the bottom.... and anyway the drivers and the other stuff where should i extract them??? to my memory card??? plzz someone help.... in simple steps.... from the start plzz..... as you understand i am really new in this and i really want to do upgrade my mobile.... i would really appriciate your help....

Hey, if you want to flash wm6.5 then just download a stock rom from either Htc or from this site and away you go. lol

look in my rom thread under steps...think you did not flash Hard Spl before

run on xp...and also on vista or win 7...
It can be that you must install for xp....active sysnc....or in win 7 or vista...mobile device center before
update errors....
hey i had tried your rom also bt i cant update i found error 262 or 276....
means wat to soft reset i hv done it but prob. is nt solved..plz help
send me detail step by step....
at first check your usb and the cable...maybe other pc and cable....
2. install mobile device center (active sync)
3.flash hard spl
4. flash original rom +Hard reset
5. flash my rom +Hard Reset
and all of my or other coocker´s rom´s do not have those errors...i tried the most rom´s here and all flash fine
