I have just buy a new O2 Xda with the following versions:
ROM-Version: 2.15.4.29 GER
ROM-Date: 03/09/2006
??? 02.19.21
Protocol-Version: 4.1.13.09
ExtROM-Version: 2.15.4.115
IPL 2.15.0001
SPL 2.15.0001
GSM 02.19.21
OS 2.15.4.29
Now, I want it in english or spanish language.
After reading the posts I have a lot of doubts. Can be upgraded this device to english rom? what happens with 2.15.00001?
I know there are a lot of posts with that thematique, but I'm absolutely lost. Can anybody help me, or telling wich postings I exactly have to read to change the rom version & language for that device?

PD: I have backed up the radio, os and extrom roms. If someone needs them please, tell me.
Can you tell me how you made a backup of you ROMs ? As I can see you have IPL 2.15.0001 means that this is "G4" chip (locked)..
with the aWizard tool without any problems.

If I follow this way to put an Italian I-mate rom into my German O2 XDAneo,SPL 2.15, now.......in the future, can I reflash it with an original German O2 rom?
This is important for the warranty ....

I have tried this procedure but it don't work.... I have installed Dopod wwe rom. It function very well......but I want to install italian Rom in the future.

I followed the steps without a problem, but I can not see the IPL 2.15.0001 what step I did wrong? I tryed several times without a solution.

I'm going to be crazy, I tryed several times to change, update to the last Dopod ROM, I mean IPL 2.15 _ SPL 2.15.0001 but no way.
Now I can find on welcome screen this information: (i-nate JAMin ESP)

If you follow the wiki the first thing you can read (in capitals) is the following:
WARNING!!!!! DO NOT PERFORM THIS IF YOUR PROPHET HAS THIS ROM "SPL 2.xx.0001"
It's only for versions 2.09, 2.13, or 2.15 (without .001)

In other words, the last and newest one is 2.150001, is that right?

If you follow all the steps you'll have your machine without CID, and you can upgrade or downgrade it. You can't see 2.15.001 when you've just finished all the steps, but you can install the ROM that you want.
I've the last dopod ROM and I'll prefer the spanish imate one, but i can (mine is 2.15.001).

Belive me, I follow all the step the Dopod and PDAMobiz guys mentioned, but I can not see the IPL 2.15.0001. I tested many ROM's and at least for me the most porwerful is the last Dopod with overclock at 240 MGz, but I don't like these many programs, my problem is: I can not see the IPL 2.15.0001 on welcome screen, that is. I was running with Spanish Qtek 2.09..... with the lasted Dopod 2.15, with the PDAMobiz ROM and now with the i-mate JAMin - Spanish 2.13.
But sorry I never saw on my screen the 2.15.0001. I have all the tools such CID unlock, Overclock, all the lasted ROM's in market... But the way, I'm rellya happy with the i-mate JAMin Rom, also is my 7th. PPC and is in Spanish language, with overclock is speed improve so much (at 240 MHz)

the Proximus Collection ( Belgian Provider ) please reply in this topic.
I had my phone for one day and I already flashed it to a Dutch ROM cause strange enough this Proximus ROM was English. I tried dumping
the ROM in a terminal to a SD card but I had no rights ( said the terminal screen ). But now I just saw there is another method. So my question now is that anyone who has his S200 still working with this Custom Proximus ROM, please let me know so he/she can dump the rom and send it to me ( or on public FTP, so anyone can use ) then I'm able to restore to original state. Thanks.

I have qtek s200 with a chinese interface which i want to change to an english interface. any assistance, please.
when i got my S200 (also from Belgium) i was instructed to go to http://www.smart-phones.be and get the rom there.
i saw that there is still a ROM available for the S200 over there, it's RUU_Prophet_2090724_20907106_020720_QtekWWE_Ship.exe
i don't think it's the original proximus one, but might be usefull to someone. pretty fast ftp also.

Ok, I've tried to find the answers but it not easy since topics are too scattered, and allmost everyone forget to put them at prophet wiki or faq's.
Going for the first question, I've found that:
G3=IPL/SPL=2.XX.0000 G4=IPL/SPL=2.XX.0001
My S200 has rom: 2.10.7.24 PTG missing one digit!?

make a softreset and see the IPL/SPL version
Soft reset ur device n der will b sm info. on d boot screen,
if like,
IPL 2.xx.xxxx
SPL 2.xx.xxxx
OS 2.15.13.x
if IPL n SPL r lik 2.xx.xxxx den G4
if IPL n SPL lik 2.xx den G3.
IPL/SPL both have 2.10.0001 ok it's a G4.

your phone is probably sim unlocked but still CID locked
CID and sim locks are TWO different things
i'll add this to the wicked, whoever if people would search the answers are there....thats how I found it the first time I got to this place...
If yours unit is not tied to a specific carrier, the phone ought to be still CID locked that it prevents you from loading ROMS from other company/operator (eg, Qtek prevents you from flashing it with iMate ROM). However, you ought to be able to use SIM card from any telco, unless your phone came with a specific telco package (eg, sometimes if you get a SonyE from a telco, the SonyE still needs to be SIM unlock).
