Hi guys,
I've only recently started using 3G and notice that my GPRS data counter no longer works as there is no specific connection to monitor with 3G (or doesnt appear to be on the HTC MTeoR).
How can i monitor 3G data usage?
TIA

I've used several GPRS counters over the last few years but none of them seem to work with 3G...
Is it possible to monitor 3G data usage?
I'm having a bizarre issue with my HTC Desire HD where the notification bar shows 4 bars of coverage (the max available) and the data connection shows 'H' (again, best possible), but the data connection often freezes/stalls/fails. Changing my data connection to 2G only fixes this issue and I get normal 2G connectivity with no issues. This is happening inside the building I work in (in central Edinburgh). I also experience this is other central edinburgh areas outside. However, further afield 3G works just fine.
Can anyone suggest what might be wrong? Alternatively, are there any tools which allow you to monitor the strength of data connection the phone is making? Or other diagnostic tools? Thanks!
I use LUMIA 710 with network operator AIRTEL.
I keep the data connection ON 24/7. I use it now and then. Data transfers smoothly and signal strength is also superb. But sometimes when i open apps which need data connection they say connection not available even though the connection is ON and signals are abundant. I don't know why this happens but this is happening often these days. I tried restarting, switching the DATA connection ON-OFF but no result. Help me out!
I have a WP7 phone and I have access to wifi except while I'm on the road. The phone automatically connects to the wifi. I have noticed that the data usage is ALWAYS going through my T-mobile account rather than wifi. How can I make sure that the phone uses wifi whenever available, and T-mobile when there's no wifi connection?

It DOES switches to WiFi when available and automatically switches to data Connection when WiFi isn't available. I confirmed it few days ago by installing Counters app for my Lumia 710. It tells you your mobile data usage. It stopped when I connected to my home WiFi and Data Connection was still ON.

Maybe the Lumia is better built than my Samsung Focus. I swear the Focus cannot automatically do this. Maybe it's because it was made for AT&T and not T-mobile.
Hello,
I've GT-P3100, and mainly I use it as a Wifi - hotspot. It has a 3G SIM and I used it to watch movies and for internet surfing, and I've never used it to make calls. However, I start to get annoyed by the idea of switching from H+ to 3G automatically, which leaves the internet almost dead for 5min or so and for no reason. I've tried to adjust the settings for my ROM to use only WCDMA (3G only), but I can't go further to make it use only and only H+ data connection.
My question, is it possible to enforce my tablet to use only H+ at all times?
Life battery is no problem for me, nor the data bandwidth because I'm using a plan with no restrictions. Anything regarding my ROM is in my signature.
Any help would be much appreciated.
