background clock - General Topics

Is there possibility to have big clock as a background for today?

Not as background.
There are plenty of plug-ins that will give you a full screen clock, but you can't put stuff in the background.
(Well it's theoretically possible to write an app that will recompile the background image but that's too inefficient)

How to change the default background transparency in WM6.1

I know how to do that with a single picture if I want to use it as a background. But how do I change the default system wide, so when I use softwares like todaychanger, my background won't be at 65% transparency?

transparent image background

after changing the better part of my icons
i tried to make some nice icons for my contacts in my quiklist
i took a photo of my friend deleted the background an made a nice frame saved it as an png
and opent it in outllook as her picture
but outlook does not keep the background transparent !!!!
is there a way around this ?????
Not in Outlook I'm afraid.
.Net CF controls do not support transparency, so anyone developing software that does support it has to code their own image rendering methods. It's a pain in the arse, but that's the way it is.

[REQ] im Looking for something similar to color clock

I was stumbling around online and came across a clock .swf that is meant as a screen saver. I thought to myself that this would make an interesting Widget or livewallpaper.
What the clock does is change the background color as time moves on. The clocks numbering is converted to hex and then the associated hex color is used for the background. Check it out...

I would love to see this as a live wallpaper or widget it would be nice to have an ever changing screen

How can I see other activity through my app?

I need background of my app to be completely transparent. I added android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Translucent.NoTitleBar.Fullscreen" to <activity...> section of AndroidManifest.xml. But background appeared black instead of transparent. Or may be it is transparent but it has something black behind it. How can I get other app activity screen or launcher screen behind my app?
Solved - applcation itself did not have transparent background.

Resizing Icons

I have my screen grid set to the largest it can be (12x12) in order to position my widgets as granular as possible. Of course this makes any app icons on the homescreens very small. There is an option to resize the icons in the settings under Home Screen, but it won't let me increase the icons above a certain level (right now it's 97%, but I've seen it as low as 72%). But even setting the icon size as high as it will go doesn't seem to affect the homescreen icons; they're still very small, definitely not even close to the icon size in the dock. I've been using Giganticon as a work-around to make the icons as big as I want, but this naturally doesn't work with notification badges. Is there a way to override the artificial limits on the Nova settings to increase the icon size?
