In the meantime, I managed to upgrade to the dopod latest ROM and use Monster Chinese to read and write chinese, maybe this will also help you until we get the ROM...

I have a new Imate JAM (Docod) from taiwan and it is in japanese or some sort of an asian language.
I need to flash an english rom to be able to work with it.
I know how to flash ROMs, I just need to know if this is possible and where do I get this english ROM.

I saw several posts here regarding poeple who are trying to flash from German or other ROM to English ROM with all sort of modifications, operator code and so.
Is it simple as downloading the ROM and run it?

well the only problem you could run into is COUNTRY ID CODE ERROR and its not a big worry if read the thread below twice or thrice may be more than that and then follow it......i am sure you will figure that out too.... its piece of cake trust me only if you understand it properly.
download the rom and upgrade it...and if you get country code then follow this thread its not a big problem trust me...

Does anyone have the Shipped Rom of Simplified Chinese? Doesn't matter which version. I can't seem to get the SDCard Method of loading the Rom working.
I only know that method of upgrade.
Just want to make mine magician unit to Chinese so my mom can use it.

I 've updated my pda's Rom S100 to a russian version 2.04(magician)..
Thought that was lighter than the previous..but the language it was a little problem for and also hadn't many fictions, i;m used to..Anyway.
I would like to install back the Qtek Rom which i have but i cant find a way that
it will works as a downgrade...(Qtek Rom version 1.1.13)..also does anyone how can i unlock the rom in order to install the first one???
