Change the rom Spanish Vodafone - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 Software Upgrading

I would like to change the htc s200 rom with "vodafone", i would like to know what is the ultimate rom and how to change it, My rom is 2.15.3.30 ESN

why?
This is the current version Vodafone is shipping. I don't see anything wrong with it. In fact is way better than the one Qtek itself was shipping 2 months ago in free terminals.

What Magician Model should I use?

I had a O2 mini which i transformmed into the T-Mobile 1.13 , but I wonder what does the T-Mobile 1.13 have that the O2 Mini 1.03 didnt have? Or what did the o2 Mini 1.03 have that T-Mobile doesnt have? I really want to know which other model/brands are better or offer better "extra" Rom tools that make the Magician powerful. Suggestions and why YOUR Brand makes the cake?
First of all, your subject is deceiving because you are actually asking about the ROM versions and not a specific Magician model.
I guess you know that the Magician is resold/rebranded as Qtek, iMate, T-mobile, O2, Orange, etc. The rebranded units whether from Qtek, iMate, etc. are all exactly the same, because they are all made by HTC.
The ROM is composed of two parts. The main ROM and the Extended ROM. The main ROM for any version (i.e. WWE 1.13) is standard to any brand. The Extended ROM however is brand specific. Each brand/provider like O2, T-mobile, Orange put some programs in the Extended ROM to automatically configure the unit based on the brand/provider's requirements. An example would be GPRS, MMS configurations.
The best is to restructure your ROM by using Big Storage. Install the latest ROM (ver 1.13) then you can select what Extended ROM programs you want from what ever brand/provider.
But... when I upgrade my Magican to Qtek, I have some problem.
My Camera don't work anymore, and the speaker sometime is work, sometime is mute! How about it?
And, can you show me what this mean.
I found a lot ROM shiped but I don't kwon which one is O2, Qtek, Imate...
MA_TMUK_11300_128_11200_Ship.exe
o2asia_11100_922_11100_ship.exe
WWE_11100_550_11100
Can you show me what is the number in the middle 128 or 992 or 550 means?

vodafone nl gprs connecton problem on flashed tytnII

I changed the rom of my device from the vodafone 1615 standard dutch rom to the english one from this site. Since this update i have not been able to connect to gprs/umts no matter what settings i use. Has anyone had a similar experience??
turns out it was my own (sorta coupled with vodafones) stupidity, I phoned them up after much screwing around wih settings etc and they told me that for some reason (probably that i had asked for it which i didnt) that gprs/umts was blocked .
So for anyone in holland who has the v1615 version of the kaiser from vodafone its safe to upgarde your phone to the wwe version with no ill side effects.
truescot - i am going to update my vodafone 1615 bought today to an english version after about 7-8 days (once the 7-day swap warranty is completed). would be happy to share the current gprs/umts settings on my phone with you as i still have my phone in factory condition

Australian TyTN II firmware upgrade

Hi I brought a HTC TyTN II a few weeks ago from an Australian supplier. The phone works great but when I try to install the “TOMTOM” navigation disk it says the ROM version is incorrect. I contacted HTS Australia, they say the unit is from Indonesia and so not supported here. Can anyone tell me where I can get an Australian ROM version? I am with Telstra for my mobile. I see lots of ROM versions on this site but not sure which one. ( sorry im new)
thanks
Tim
Yeah I'd like to get my hands on a current TyTN II rom for Australia.
I'm currently running Duttys latest rom which is working fine for the most part. I did have a small issue today where people on incoming calls couldnt hear me speak but a soft reset seems to have fixed that for now. Hope it doesnt come back
You can download it from http://www.asia.htc.com/Dopod_Aus/member/login.aspx You need to register with the serial number of an Australian phone to get access to the Australian ROMs. As far as I was aware the Australian (non branded TyTnII) phones ship with CoPilot and not TomTom. (At least mine did). So this may explain your TomTom issues.
Initially I flashed the Aust Hutch Three ROM to my phone but to be honest it really offers very little over the standard ROM other than the custom Three shortcuts which are easy enough to replace. I am with Three in Australia and very happily running Duttys Roms on my phone. I doubt flashing an Asutralian ROM will fix the TomTom isssue. I would be checking on its Authenticity and chasing it up with the supplier rather than HTC.
The Australian (non network branded) TyTn2's don't come with Tomtom taster, so an AU rom will not allow you to install Tomtom either... hope you didn't pay full AU retail price.
No Asian Tytn2 comes with Tomtom either AFAIK, even if it installs it will only give you a choice of US/Canada maps to download... making it useless.
Best bet is to buy Tomtom or another full version nav program. (and get onto whoever sold it to you asking why an "AU" phone would have the US nav taster (tomtom) bundled and not Copilot7 which is the official Australian bundled nav program.) If you got it from Ebay it is almost definately an asian grey market import... usually an SE Asia OEM phone (which have nothing bundled but Phone Backup, then some bad sellers include a useless US software disk to make it look more legit.)
I've got TomTom running on my TyTN II without a problem. All you have to do is go back one version to the .30 install and you wont have the rom issue. then you just need to copy all the maps and voices down to your storage card. I found the older version of TomTom on mininova.
Hi
My TyTN cam with Map King. I purchased TomTom as an option.
My ROM version is 1.82.707.0 WWE from 11/03/07, so its old. The phone has been working fine until i tried io install the Tomtom. I am also on the Telstra network. Thanks for the feedback so far.
regards
Tim

Searching for German CDMA ROM for Touch Pro2 (formerly Verizon)

I have long searched all fora and have not found much, so please excuse my new post ...
I moved back to Germany with a HTC Touch Pro2 branded by Verizon. However I am no longer Verizon Wireless customer.
I would like a German ROM on my handset, possible a WM6.5-based ROM and, of course, it needs to be CDMA radio compatible as I read in most of the posts that a GSM ROM would wreck my device.
At present there is still the newest WM6.5 ROM from Verizon (3.04.605.3) flashed on it, but the radio (2.32.00WU) is already Security and SIM unlocked (I applied Hard-SPL).
Does anyone know a CDMA-based ROM in German?
Thanks,
Mat Fred
Is you reasoning for a German ROM purely language?
I think you can use any CDMA ROM and just use an international SIM card.
there isn't a german cdma rom
Yes, my main reason for a change to a German CMA ROM is language as it is kinda enoying to get english spelling hints when texting for example.
But also I would like to get rid of the Verizon branding since I am not using it anymore.
-Thanks

We are CDMA, so all of those GSM world ROMs CANNOT be used. Using a world GSM ROM could potentially brick your device
You will want to check out all the custom ROMs over at PPC geeks...some might even have a german language pack:

Europe WWE vs Asia WWE

Hello!
Maybe it's a stupid question.
Official sales of Sensation did not start yet here in Ukraine, but you know, I just can not wait. I can buy gray imported Europe WWE (401) or Asian WWE (707) (I also have seen 701 CID, do not know what it is?).
The question is, if I purchase Asia WWE device, will I have problems? Looks like it have different radio versions.
Main question is: Will I be able to flash it with Europe WWE after we will get unlocked bootloader, or it may have incompatible hardware?
Current operation frequencies is not a problem, my carrier does not have 3G, I'll be using EDGE connection.
Asian ROM won't have European locales so unless you wanna use English I'd get the European handset
I plan to use English interface (it just looks better than cyrillic).
Interesting thing, device with 701 CID had Russian locale as well. I assumed, that 701 is Asian too, but I may be wrong. I did not find on XDA any mentions of x.xx.701 ROM versions.
Can I tell form the box what version of phone is inside? Nonofficial devices sold in sealed boxes, and nobody would open it before purchase.
You can't unfortunately, you can only assume that where it's being purchased from will dictate the version

Can some one tell me which ROM have Russian lang?

x.xx.707 had Russian.
But, I think it safe to assume that all ROMs contain large amount of locales. Correct me if I wrong.
I bought an asian version and the seller told me to get the app more locale 2 from the market. With it you can have any languages you want!
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA App
Hi
I have also asian sensation (1.35.707.1) and also using it in Ukraine.
Can someone tell me do I have any good _technical_ reason to flash a European rom? Don't care about locale, i'm using English anyway.
How about radios or any other core software? I'm concerned with reception quality, maybe with EU rom i'd have a better reception?
I had HTC Incredible S, and after updating to EU rom from Asian reception was terrible (might also be a common Android 2.2->2.3 upgrade issue)
Thanks!
