Simple, standard ringtones? - General Topics

Hi, I'm looking for some basic type ringtones, like before the onset of polyphonic tones etc. One in particular that springs to mind is the low pitched ringtone of the old nokia 8890.
I just want my xda to sound like a phone.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ro

There's a sound called "oldphone" in your windows folder is there not? That really does sound like a phone. 8)

Old English ring
Many thanks for the perfect ring tone. I've been searching for this nostalgic ringtone for ages. Using it on a Nokia E61i. Loud and distinctive. Thanks for taking the trouble.
Thanks you very much
Nice one. I, too, have been trying to find a decent English ring for ages.
Thanks a lot.
Nice clear sound!!
dumb
So, I have downloaded it and it sounds great. How do I get it on my cell phone:
Welcome to the forum
On your Universal move ringtone to SD card-my documents or main memory-my documents-my ringtones folder
It's a much better old phone-style ring:

Give attention to trending tik tok ringtones and assemble them as a funky and entertaining playlist of your mobile phones.

What kind of messaging tones you have?

I've used the icq "uh oh", and super mario bros coin sound. Now I have someone sneezing but it's hard to hear. Also heard of a doorbell sound. What you guys have?

Personally I use my kids voices for all my tones. I created them through the built in voice recorder and went with it. Your problem may lie in the audiopara file not being loud enough for you. Do a search on replacing audiopara3 or check out arup's rre rom thread in development section he has a great light audio boost cab that does wonders.
oh ya i can adjust the gain to make it louder, but a sneeze just kinda goes unnoticed anyway. i was looking for ideas for cool tones.
i may go with a nail gun sound, but now im kinda leaning toward the mcdonalds ba ba ba ba ba hehe
try www.zedge.net
They have some nice tones.
i have the moment of "yossi booblil (a.k.a ha dorban (e.g.: big brother show)) hit by a glass"
p.s. you can see in my signature the video
I use the Metal Gear Solid codec ring. Also my slideout sounds are the codec open and close sounds
I have Silly Face from the MSN wink,

For incoming messages? My god, my phone would play all day then
I have the Ubisoft theme
I have something from phonezoo. I usually have my phone on silent/vibrate so I don't hear it much lol cause I'd be hearing it all day. It's something like "You've got a message. You've got a message." In a chipmunk voice lol.
I use Homer doing WooHoo for messages and some french song that I got off the net for my ringtone.
I just have the defaults. The first thing I did when I got my Wizard was to make custom ringtones and stuff, but I actually kind of dig one of the ones the Fuze comes with, so I'm sticking to that for now.
What folder do they need to go in so WinMo can locate them and use them for...
Keyboard slide in/out
Alarm Clocks
SMS and Email messages
Help would be greatly appreciated. I love this phone :-D

Ringtone suggestions?

I want a ringtone that's unique, maybe something from a video game that isn't heard often. IE: Metal Gear codec ring.
I tried the sonic drowning countdown, but it just isn't doing it for me. Just doesn't sound right as a ringtone.
Any suggestions?

I'm going to be a really pedantic fu**er right now.
Dictionary definition of the word 'Unique';-

Therefore the only way you will ever get a truly unique ringtone is if you record a noise or tune that you have created or written and ensure that nobody else is ever able to copy it.
Failing that, just think about what you actually do want, go and search for it (try SoundCloud for some ideas that you can possibly copy out) and decide what you like.
OP, post your request here or just monitor this thread maybe you can find what your looking for...
There are apps, that allow you to make your own, check the GPlay Market, Thank you and Thread closed.

[Q] Replacing volume adjust beep

Hi community,
for quite a while I've been trying to find info on how to replace the volume adjust beep. Not disable (that I know how to do ) but replace with something pleasant like a tick or a pop or whatever. This is one thing that I really would like to do. Don't shoot me but Apple has done this better, I have to be honest.
The android beep is like something from a 90s PC without sound card

Replying only because I too would like a solution. I read about an app called Ultimate Sound Control and apparently the Pro version (now removed from Play Store ) was capable of doing this.

Hi,
You may download the ringtone you like and put it on Ringtones folder. If the ringtone is not detected, convert it into Vorbis (.ogg) format.

Thanks for your reply, but I need to know what ringtone is it before I can search and download it in the internet. This is just a recording of the ringtone, not the actual ringtone(its recorded via phone mic).
Is it a samsung? Or an apple? HTC? Or custom tone..?
That was my question I guess.
Cheers
Hmm I normally am good at picking up tunes but that is a tough one. Is there not a longer clip? It sounds like a chord sequence to a pop song though where someone would come in and sing if it was not a midi version that is.

You can do a try before downloading. It varies (you can find some other Brand [meaning: Samsung and even old Nokia phones] ringtones, too) on the genre you like.

I would like to recognize this tone, which is a recording of a tune. :fingers-crossed:
I would like to download it, but I need to know what tone/song it is first prior to searching and eventually downloading it.
