Hi,
Just compiled a long lasting annoyance of Control Panel shortcuts and matching icons (see attachement)
They work ok for wm2003 and higher.
Example:
22#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,0,0?shellres.dll,-13905
Note that the second ,0 is the number of the subpage
(Tab) of that settings page. 0 = first, 1 = second etc.
So making a text file called Kill.lnk with the line:
22#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,4,2?shellres.dll,-13900
gives you instant access to Running Programs.
Placing this link in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs you can
even put it under a button.
Note: subpages don't work if settingX is redirected in HKLM\ControlPanel\settingX with a "Redirect" value.
Have fun,
Tweakradje

EDIT: added 2 icons/links for WM5
Anybody with some spare time to test the links (in the attachement) for wm2005? Just curious if they are OK.
I can only test with wm2003.
If you can provide me with a cplmain.cpl from WM2005 I can also provide the other shortcuts (like GPS etc)
Thanks
Great job, tweakradje. Thank you very much.
I'm using the HTC Prophet to test your shortcuts. Most of them work well except:
1. Admin password -> go to Phone settings
2. Bluetooth -> no response
3. Contrast -> no response
4. Update -> no response
kick
Added the 2 extra icons (perhaps there are more) from WM5 control panel.
Perhaps you can discover more in disassembled code from cplmain.cpl below.
Note: find the CPL_... and take the first 0x.... that is the hex icon number that is in shellres.dll

Thanks this is what I was loloking for.
One level deeper...
I have the link working that takes me to the Bluetooth
using this link.
(23#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,23,1?shellres.dll,-13909)
I would like to set up the link to go 1 level deeper to partnership setting for my bluetooth. (see screen attachment). Does anyone know how to do this?

Hello, the link is now dead, do you recent version 4.6 or 4.7 statically linked?
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
i will personally no longer be able to provide support on this rom although there are a few people on xda who will... so my support is officially dicontinued here on this thread... although i have developed a new tool and rom for the A13's and you can get it HERE i will be providing support for HERE..
EDIT: I have developed a new tool for the allwinner a13 to carry out most tasks involving editing scripts, touchscreen parameters and fixes etc.. you can find it HERE

By default Touch Screen DON'T work
STEP BY STEP FOR INSTALLING TS MODULES:
You need to have ADB installed before proceed
1. Flash FaaastJB with Livesuit 1.11
2. Wait for tablet to boot and load
3. Connect your tablet to PC
4. Extract all content from TS MODULE archive to a directory
5. Execute run.bat
6. After press any key dialog the tablet will reboot
7. That's all folks
If you don't know what TS driver to use try Uberizer option k/22 and use command "lsmod" on original working ROM.
I recommend try all archives and test both TS and gsensor for better result, don't stop at the first working TS try more.
OLD TS from FaaastJB 4.1.1 don't work here

If you have found a TS and have reverse axes or screenshift i recommend to use this tools or try TSCalibration
More application for calibration need more people to test and confirm is working Touch Recalibrate
If you have inverted gsensor you will need to edit this file /system/usr/gsensor.cfg look for your gsensor name and play with this:
gsensor_direct_x = false
gsensor_direct_y = true
gsensor_direct_z = false
gsensor_xy_revert = false
Camera sux anyway on this tablet so if you still want to work you will need to edit script.bin section [csi0_para]
Don't forgot to make BACKUP of default ROM
For backup i recommend Uberizer option i/3.
I recommend this ROM for people who don't have a working TS.
This devices can't be bricked but if you don't find the right ROM they don't work correctly so if you don't know what your doing don't try it.
I recommend this ROM for people who don't have a working TS.
Thanks goes to Toxicro @ Techknow Forums for this rom this is his work..

If you have found a TS and have reverse axes or screenshift i recommend to use this tools or try TSCalibration
More application for calibration need more people to test and confirm is working Touch Recalibrate
If you have inverted gsensor you will need to edit this file /system/usr/gsensor.cfg look for your gsensor name and play with this:
gsensor_direct_x = false
gsensor_direct_y = true
gsensor_direct_z = false
gsensor_xy_revert = false

MAKE BACKUP - using Uberizer option i/3
Caution: don't flash this on KB901 with TS ft5x_ts
Rebased the whole ROM on various builds of JB 4.2.2 to run smooth without tweaks:
- cleaned up
- rooted
- adb enabled by default
- replaced the default launcher with GO Launcher HD
- adapted to accept my custom modules TS

By default Touch Screen DON'T work
STEP BY STEP FOR INSTALLING TS MODULES:
You need to have ADB installed before proceed
1. Flash FaaastJB with Livesuit 1.11
2. Wait for tablet to boot and load
3. Connect your tablet to PC
4. Extract all content from TS MODULE archive to a directory
5. Execute run.bat
6. After press any key dialog the tablet will reboot
7. That's all folks
If you don't know what TS driver to use try Uberizer option k/22 and use command "lsmod" on original working ROM.
I recommend try all archives and test both TS and gsensor for better result, don't stop at the first working TS try more.
OLD TS from FaaastJB 4.1.1 don't work here

there is not much you can do apart from to source more drivers and keep trying different ones until you get a working one... especially as you have no clue on what the modules were on the original firmware....

I thought people were saying it would brick their device or no touch screen. If not I will do it today. I can work around the battery issue. It came
with a Firmware dated 11-30-2013 witch is not to old.
Should I capture this current firmware image on here for others? (How?)
My Specs on this white framed cheap thing I got recently..

about Strace
Android provides Logcat for tracing and debugging Apps , Logcat provides too short information and limited apps also programs has to support logcat or there wo'nt be any log ! this makes Android logcar be completely un-useful in large/advanced programs .
strace is a debugging utility to monitor a program system calls or signals it receives . strace is used while we want to find the reason a program crashes or finding out what causes a process not to work as expected .
strace is much more powerful than Android Logcat . unlike logcat , any process may be monitored by strace also there is no need to rewrite a program for support of strace
usage & downloading
I have ported strace to Android and it works without any bugs
download the lastest binary from this post , move it to /system/bin and set permissions to 755 .
strace has a lot of options you can find by running it using :
Code:
strace --help
most common functions are :
1- using strace to monitor a command :
Code:
strace echo hello
2- using strace to monitor an App/process :
Code:
strace -p 123
(123 is a example , use any other PID you wish )
here is an example of running strace with hello command :
Code:
ALIREZA | strace echo hello
execve("/system/xbin/echo", ["echo", "hello"], [/* 26 vars */]) = 0

Running on LG P500 (ARMv6) cm-10.2
OK, guess what? Already have it on /system/xbin and that does work.

Dido, I needed such a tool too.
Thanks
Would like to try it, but the download link requires me to sign up for an account. Can't you make this available some other way?
you dont need an account to download. Between the 2 ads is the download button

Thanks, I got it! I really hate these purposely misleading download sites.
Once i run strace -p 123 it will come back
Code:
strace: attach: ptrace(PTRACE_ATTACH, ...): Operation not permitted

You must use the a valid PID , 123 is an example .
For getting PID of an APP/Process , use the this command in terminal :
Code:
ps | grep "abc"
instead of abc , write the process name you want ! for example :
Code:
ps | grep "com.android.acore"
then search for PID in the output and use it with strace !

You need to be root to attach to already running processes.
I also find the "-f" option useful for more complex executables (which fork new processes). "-o" to write the output to a file can be useful if there is much output.

Sweet!
Huh? It's a well-known, standard unix utility, being a part of Android distribution since Android 1.6 (although, only in debug builds)...
See https://android.googlesource.com/platform/external/strace/ (note all the branches on the left)
It's good to make people aware of it, though, as it's a very useful tool for debugging some kinds of issues.

I haven't seen it, but its just in android sources and only in debug builds for debugging the android but This is a standalone build of latest STrace suitable for developers to debug their APPs . Developers will not download and compile whole android for just having a dynamicly linked strace .
Another thing , why most of you are saying its a well-known/popular linux utility ... , did I say it is not ????
Segfaults on Razr i (intel atom x86).

But that's something that's popular to do here, a lot of people download the sources and compile the ROMs they run from source. Additionally, this is probably included in every custom ROM out there. My CM10.2 install has the utility built in.
There's no need to be defensive, the RD that's replying to you is just providing links for more reading. The better informed the users of this site are, the more cool stuff we'll see in the future.
Thanks for your strace build!

This does not work on X86 based platforms.
There're quite a few blog posts on the net about compiling strace from source.
Eg. http://discuz-android.blogspot.com/2008/01/create-google-android-strace-tool.html
I've created a precompiled tgz package that you can extract into the root of your filesystem and it'll put strace into /data/local (i.e. /data/local/bin/strace).
http://muzso.hu/node/4869
I prefer my utilities in /data/local.
so after many, many, many hours of tinkering with the blankflash from various devices. i finally got the right combination of files for the singleimage.bin using the blankflash for river. i couldnt say exactly how i ended up getting the device to take it. its failed many times, but i was running 2 command windows in linux "blankflash.sh" and or "qboot port=YOURDEVICEPORT blank-flash" at the same time and finally my device was revived after weeks of being bricked. but here is the blankflash, and may the odds be ever in your favor
Thanks!
Just out of curiosity, anyone have any luck with this ?

You'll need to install Qualcomm EDL drivers, QPST/QFIL, and a firehose programming protocol. It's a fairly in-depth procedure, but here is a link to a thread that can get you in the right direction.

Nice. Thanks for confirmation on that.
Step by Step Unbrick: Moto G7 Play
1. Install QPST programs and utilities. Reboot your PC. QPST.2.7.472_2018.zip
2. Connect your phone to your PC, open the device manager in Windows, then hold Vol↓+Power until you see the unknown device (your phone...) get removed and returned as QHSUSB or qdload.
3. Navigate to the installation folder of QPST. (Ex.) C:\Programfiles_x86\Qualcomm\bin\...
You want to be where all the hex files and exe's are at. Copy all the blank flash files for your phone to here. (Overwrite files if prompted.) Double click the ".bat" file. You'll reboot into fastboot.
4. Flash your stock firmware. Reboot. Congratulations you're no longer a brick!
Tip: If you get an I/O error when running the .bat file, disconnect and reconnect your phone and try again. -- This definitely works on Windows 10. (Windows 7/8 & Linux, your mileage may vary.)
Model Tested: XT1952-4 RETUS
Can you help me, im searching for the firehose file trying to use QFIL
, also i have no idea where to get the firmwarefile but i got the stock rom xt 1962-4
Can any one upload blankflash with a .exe, i found one but it asks for firehose
Thanks
@Spaceminer this is excellent work! It will definitely reduce the xt1952-4 fatalities that would normally end up in the proverbial Android graveyard. By the way, email me your PayPal address so I can send you a little something. [email protected]

There is no blank flash for other models of the G7 Play. Try the one for the xt1952-4. Worst case scenario it just won't flash, best case scenario, you get into fastboot and get your phone back.

@Mateus RJ
Try using a different USB port. Make sure it's one that's connected to your motherboard. Try different types if you have them available, USB 1.0, USB 2.0 etc. Also try running the bat file as admin and without.

You could try renaming your stock bootloader.img to bootloader.bin, and placing it with the flash files. It might work.

if you are going to extract the bootloader with star and replace the files in singleimage.bin, I already did that and got the same error.
how could we obtain a blanflahsh for the 6 (metro) one? I hardbricked my metro after trying to flash twrp and entering slot b by mistake,also I get a sarah io error on every port so no dice (windows 10)
como faço para instalar estou perdido
Hi,
I bricked my G7 Power trying to install Lineage OS. I copied Lineage OS to the SD card. I then used TWRP to wipe my device and attempted to install Lineage thru the install from zip option of TWRP. The install did not show any error warnings. Upon reboot, I was left with a unresponsive brick.
The device model number is: XT1955-5
The last working Official Android OS I flashed was: OCEAN_PPOS29.114_134_10_cid50_subsidy_DEFAULT_regulatory_DEFAULT_CFC.xml
The Version of Lineage I tried to flash was: lineage-17.1-20200302-UNOFFICIAL-ocean-robson-sz.zip
I had bricked this device once before about a year ago and found a blank flash file, but it will no longer work. The old blank flash was: blankflash_ocean_PDOS29.114-134-2. I downloaded a new blank flash: BlackFlash-MotoG7power-OCEAN-SDM632- PPOS29.114-134-10, but it will not work either.
Both blank flash files give the error: qb_flash_singleimage<>saharah_greet_device<>->change_mode<>->do_hello<>->IO_error.
I assume that I need a new blank flash file to fix this. The phone is recognised by my PC as: Qualcom HS-USB QDloader 9008 (COM4).
Please give me a link for a appropriate blank flash file if one exists for my situation or advise what steps to take to revive this dead Moto G7 Power.
Thanks,
Tim

Have you tried the latest blankflash file here? https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/ocean/blankflash/
I just tried both files listed in the above link and no joy. Still get the "qb_flash_singleimage<>saharah_greet_device<>->change_mode<>->do_hello<>->IO_error" error. I tried each about a dozen times.
Thanks,
Tim
