What could be the problem wit my mini if I can easily upgrade the roms ( I've tried many) on it but have loads of bugs (the clock is amazingly slow and have many other problems posted in my other message below). So updating a new rom doesn't bring any changes revealing the same system corruption.
At the moment I've put back the original shiped rom but the problem remains the same.
Thanks for looking at my topic...

which one is newer this one or the leaked version on the forum general index
I downloaded this file straight off of O2's website, so it's the latest official. The leaked one is supposedly newer, though.
I don't necesssarily agree. The leaked one is a full ROM while the new official one contains parts of the leaked ROM. I think they have seen errors (there are a few bugs in the leaked one, for instance a battery problem), so I would say that they stripped out the problematic parts and released the rest.

what battery bug? do mean the batt indicator on the top pane where time used to be?
No, that the unit sometimes eats the battery when it's suspended. It seems like it may be related to not turning off the WiFi with the new wireless app before suspending it. I have had it a few times, and only when the WiFi wasn't turned off.
title says it all really, i've tried a few roms on my kaiser (unlocked from orange now on o2).
what i'm looking for is the best rated rom to put on for everyday use.
Have tried:
Hyperdragon IV Mega - found it too unresponsive (probably due to wm6.5 not designed for it)
Stylez Black - Generally ok, clock issues on homepage
Android (from here) - Wouldn't load, kept crashing during loading
someone please help as there are far too many roms to download and try em all lol
Well il quote Mr stylez here, every rom has a different flava and everybody has there own needs so all u can do is experiment and find one that works for u, as long as you have hardspl u shouldnt have a problem.oh by the way this isnt the place to ask this as it has nothing to do with rom development.
There aren't even that many to try. Most of the roms that are up to date are on page 1.
If you have bug reports for roms, post them on the appropriate rom development thread. Complaining on about the bugs here helps no one.
Go read the rules of the forum.
As other have posted, issues go in ROM threads & there is no best ROM flash and find the one you find best.
Thread closed.
I'm a newbie to HTC HD2, I've been reading through this forum for a few weeks but I'm still quite confused about versions and mods available out there. So, can someone experienced explain to me about the following:
My HD2 comes with Traditional Chinese ROM (probably from Taiwan) and the manila version in it is 1.0.19211620.0.
When I browsed through the max manila thread, and the top "sense 2.5 tweaks and mods" thread, it seems that all those mods are for "sense 2.5" or "manila 2.5" version. So, does that mean that my manila version is far behind? If so, can I still download and try those mods with my HD2, or should I upgrade my manila (and how can I upgrade it?).
Well.. that's about those questions I'm confused. Thanks in advance for any one who can kindly help me.
This will be an interesting thread for me to watch. My Manila version is 2.5.19202525.0 and that's how it came from the store.
I kinda have the same question you have. also i wonder how it all relates. i get the idea max manila is an upgrade for the standard manila, whatever it is i don't know. niether why some sense addon cabs don't work for me (like the call history, didn't look too complicated for an addon to me)
I'm not sure if you can upgrade manilla without flashing a new ROM. Though don't take my word for it, I just haven't seen it on XDA. Although I did see something about the document tab in manilla as a .cab....
Anyway, have you considered flashing a new ROM? I flashed Miris 6.5.x V3.0 and works great (was first time too, it was easy). That would upgrade your manilla. Although, i've no idea about flashing a ROM and region of your handset. I just know I used WWE. You'll have to wait for someone more knowledgeble than I to reply.
If want to find out if the .cab files work, just try one. I assume it can be uninstalled anyway, if it doesn't work then you may want to consider flashing a custom ROM, or perhaps a more recent stock ROM. There's excellent video guides on how to flash Stock and cutsom ROMs using HSPL in the ROM section.
Hope this has helped.

Thanks for the reply. I did try some mods and some of them work while others don't. I believe some mods crashed with the camera so I became more cautious about trying them out now.
For the region thing. I have yet another question. I understand that the official ROMs were from different HD2 released in other countries, but does that mean that if I install a US ROM then I can't read or type Traditional Chinese, or it's only a interface difference? If that is the case, I don't think I am going to flash my machine because I need to type and read Chinese language.
Greetings all.
I own a french orange pharos, unlocked and rom radio patched to 3.37.90.
I used the Guigou rom without any problem, last one RUU_Signed_040C.nbh from the 1st of june 2010.
I tried the WM6.5_23566_Pharos_Memphis, found on the forum pdaviet.
No problem during the flash, but after it I was stucked on the calibration screen.
I recover without problem and I am now back on the Guigou's one.
So, beware of the rom Memphis !
'Hope to be usefull to someone ?

Dear. KRplus
I'm thai. And I build this rom and so on. it's for fun, for test build only because I'm very young cooker.
I'm amazing to sound my rom was go inter , I would like to said "I never share to pdaviet or here I share only one in web thai" because I can't garantee to work stable for all phone. (It for tester only)
OK, Nevermind. As you said about stucked on the calibration screen ,I can't said what's problem? but I didn't found this problem in my phone. In my experience sometime I found mark on touch screen was disappeared (may be like stucked) in some build but i still can touch it in correct position to continue work.
However I still thinking about that in my rom is not suitable for you and many people becuase this rom and so on I'd included dictionary for thai-english that eat many space of rom and also it's suitable for tester only (not public).
PS. 1. Sorry for bad english langauge. and I used build 21903 on now
2. All my rom was build by erviuskitchen182 kitchen and base rom from thai-pharos.
Thank you for you test my rom.
First, thanks for your kindly reply.
I do not wanted to deny the interest of your work, your rom is apprecied by their users, you're doing a great job, that is not the point.
I only wanted to warn the bilion of french users of Pharos to do not attempt to use your rom: I am the stupid one here, and I want to stay the only one
Yous ask what is the problem, I was stucked on the calibration screen, it was keeping to ask me to calibrate again and again, and no way to skip it, reset or reboot, same thing.
Thanks again for the good work you're doing to keep our phone alive !
Stuck on calibration screen

Hallo here in forum
today i want to flash my "new" htc tytn2. a friend gave it to me as present, because he had his new i-phone.
he told me, that he already flashed a few roms (from xda-dev) on the phone, so i think i can use the "Flashing Your First Kaiser Rom (For Noobs)"-guide from STEP 5 to flash my new baby...... am i right ??
i mean i dont need to do the hardSPL-part, right ?
im just going to doublesheck a few things here, because i dont want to do no mistake.
then he told me, that i just should look witch is the most popular rom (i think he ment the thread with the most posts or clicks.)
i followed his hint and found the "HyperDragon IV Mega"-rom
but then takin a closer look i realised that the links to the rom are down:
"...Admin edit: links removed due to legal complaint from microsoft...."
hmm,....i know it is hard to say "witch is the best rom"...but can anyone give me his special tip.
i think it is not a good way to just take the rom with the most posts in the supportthread, because it is possible, that a rom just lunched and is better than olders, etc.
is there any thread with a list of most popular roms and a discussion about them ???
greetings revnu
105 views and noone has an idea ?
isnt there a list of all roms and a kind of ratingsystem to make it easier for someone to decide wich rom to try out ?

There is unwillingness to do any kind of rating, etc. out of respect for the chefs and their hard work, which is voluntarily done.
I know how it is to come to this scene for the first time. You've read the flashing guide. That's good. Take a look at the various offerings. Consider the features. Read the comments. There are a lot of excellent roms to try. Some are lite, so you can add features to your liking. (probably something you should try later after you become more familiar with the flashing scene) Some are loaded according to the cook's taste. After a few tryouts you might even become a flashing junkie.
Good Success!
ok i understand.
at time i have the black styluz mod. i dont know wich version, but i have to flash a new rom because my version have bugs.
im going to flash the black styluz v5 because i dont have a clue wich rom could be good
but i think there are a few roms out there wich a very popular, because they have win6,5 or other things.
okok i try to tell it in short:
I AM NOT ABLE TO DECIDE WICH ROM TO TAKE BECAUSE THEIR ARE TO MUCH AND THEY HAVE NO STRUKTURE
from my later experiences then flashing older phones i always found such thing is a "list of avabable roms".... is their such a threath ?
sry 4 bad english
"list of available roms" . . . For the most part, that is what this forum is. All Kaiser roms found on XDA are listed here, on a thread by thread basis. You mentioned bugs. . . You'll have problems on many if you don't flash to a stock rom first. Each cook offers the recommended procedure for flashing their rom. Their recommendations are worth following.
ur right....im sry
ill check few roms and decide ma own. till now i had experience with black stylus.
the error i had (could not send sms) was because of my handyprovider...
anyway i now flashed the newest black stylus (full) over the older sylus version......without flashing to a stock rom first. i read the instruktion on his site, but i think i missed the part...
Once you become a little more familiar with things it won't be so troublesome. I hope you will enjoy it. The ol' Kaiser is sinking into the sunset, but it is still a great phone, and many of these roms bring out the best this device has to offer.
Good success to you. . .
There are so many to try? It's good. You will not get bored by your phone!
First, read through the FAQ & Wiki. Even if you don't have to do unlock and HardSPL anymore..
It's very important to read more than do more in the beginning.
Enjoy your TyTn II. I use it as 'PC' and dial into my older SE M600i that acts as bluetooth modem. The reason is that I have bought data plan for that SIM card, and I don't want to swap my current SIM card on my working phone (TyTn II) to older phone, but want to use the internet update from that data plan. Tricky, but it works!
I don't know if any other platform can do the same.
