Do you know any database on WM5 :
where:
1. scrolling throw items and selecting them can be done with one hand and buttons only ?
so it would be quick, responsive, so nice to use
2. and capable of managing dynamic item contents ?
for example if a field is small it would display only one line (giving more space for seeing the other items), but could also be 10 lines big if it contains for example a lot of text in it.
I am a former Palm user and I used to put lots of information (like good outing places, IDs and password, foreign language vocabulary, ...) in a personal database. I used MobileDB for Palm (cf. http://www.handmark.com/products/detail.php?id=70), it was really convenient to use, because it had all the above characteristics: 1. and 2.
Illustration of these vital 2 characteristics:
1. on the database item view:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
you could use the hardware pad to scroll up and down, items by items and even page by page ! the right and left arrow allowed you to see all the other columns without having to select an item and see part of its information. great !
2. From that place you just had to press the central button of the direction pad to select the item view:
Here the items are only on 1 line because they are small, but if 'Location' for example had contained 10 more words this view would have displayed the all content of this field. great ! then you would just have to scroll up and down with the direction pad to see the rest if it had not enough place on the screen. Perfect!
How could I get something similar on my new WM5 PocketPC ?
I tried:
- mobiledb for PocketPC: unfortunately is NOT like the Palm version, none of the points 1. and 2. are performed in the PocketPC version.
- SprintDB: very complete database but none of points 1. and 2. and fullfilled
- GrandaSoft - XSForms & XSDesigner: similar to SprintDB very complete but none of points 1 and 2 are fullfilled.
- Data On the Run: it doesn't fullfill point 1. and 2.

I do not believe that XDA allows posts to advertise paid apps without having at least a free version available. You may want to check up on that.
Against forum rules. Post a free version also or this thread will get locked and or deleted.

Hello,
I want to present you my app Numbers Game - Numberama
Numberama, or some people call it "Take Ten" or just "Numbers Game" is often played with paper and pen. Because this wastes much of paper and time to write all yourself I developed such an app for android.
play.google.com /store/apps/details?id=com.kila.zahlenspielpro.lars
(remove spaces)
Here is the video where you can see how it looks like:
youtube.com /watch?v=IWxTUilSLLc
(remove spaces)
A short description:
In this game you have to find two numbers which are the same or together ten. Then the two numbers will be crossed out.
You have to find neighbouring (vertically or continuously) pairs of digits. By doing this you can skip crossed out numbers .
If no more numbers fit together you have to press the "Check" button and all the not crossed out numbers are written behind the remaining ones.
The goal is to cross out all numbers.
An instruction in the app shows which numbers you can combine.
The difference from other similar apps (there aren't that many), are the features:
4 modes
instruction
statistics (all local, no server-communication)
automatic save/load
undo button to undo the last turn
help button (if you can't find two numbers which fit together)
restart button (to start a new game)
clear button to remove empty lines (that you don't have to scroll that much)
no ads and totally free

PS: I can't post links and is it possible to upload pictures from the pc? Cause these pics are a bit big.
I published a big update today/yesterday:
Version 1.62.0: - New mode "Column mode": You can delete empty columns instead of rows now. This changes the whole gameplay
- Fixed big bug on many devices
- Auto-clear is available now (activate in settings)
In the new mode, you can delete columns, in which every digit is crossed out. This changes the whole game, and can give you new possibilities.
I really would like to hear some feedback from you.
Design-Update

FlightTime Calc is a flight time calculator , that helps you calculate your flight hours . It has the ability to add and subtract times , in the hh:mm:ss or hh.ddddddd format. The result is shown in (hh:mm:ss) Time Format or in (hh.ddddddd) Hours Format, with seven (7) decimal digits (e.g. 1.5000000 means one and a half hour).
All calculation history is shown in a list so that it will be easy for you to see what operations you made.
You can also, select and delete any operations you made from the list, if you think you had made a mistake. You call also delete everything in the list.
If you pressed an operation to be done, for example addition (+), you can easily change it to subtraction (-), by pressing the Button - or by simply touching the + symbol in the list's last line.
You can customize the application by changing the colors of background, buttons, times and the label " Total Time " from the settings, making that way, your personalized flight time calculator.
For flight time calculations' need, it supports up to five (5) digits in each of the time's field: hh, mm, ss. (e.g. 55555:55555:55555), for the Time Format (hh:mm:ss) and up to five (5) digits and seven (7) decimal digits for the Hours Format (hh.ddddddd).
Requires permissions:
• File Access - ONLY used for accessing the external sd in case someone wants to set an image as a background for the application from settings.
Here is a FAQ for this application that helps you understand how the application works, although it is simple enough.

Hey all!
My first ever native mobile app! Competing has always been close to my heart. I competed a decent amount in martial arts and one thing I noticed is that, the industry does not utilize the mobile technology enough. At least in the management area. So I tried to make a web app specifically for it. Unfortunately there wasn't any interest for it.
A few things I noticed why:
- If they rely on a web app and lose internet connection then they're screwed.
- Tournament managers want native mobile application that has online capability
- I can't get anyone to try out my web app for their own tournaments
Solution:
- Make a native app that can perform offline
- Make the app applicable not just for martial arts. Make it usable by other sports (casual darts / billiard games)

About the app (Where it is right now):
- Creates a single elimination bracket
- Manages all the participants added in all brackets made
- Pure offline except when registering the user on first use.
- Auto seeds registered participants
- Limited to 4 brackets and max 8 participants per bracket
Todo:
- Get the first version stable
- See if there's any need for multiple bracketing types
- Follow it up with online capabilities by utilizing web app api
- Double Elimination brackets
Current issues:
- Once you upgrade to the next version it would clear the cache automatically to prevent issues that will make the app crash. This is more for database changes that happen often and fast. I don't know how to deal with it atm.
- The bracket view is slow. I'm not sure how to make it fast.
- The UI of the bracket , I'm not sure how to make it look like you need to tap the match area in order to view the match results/details

Nice application, lots of useful options and very easy to use, plus very intuitive, highly recommended for physicians, I see great potential on this. Keep it up!
Suggestion: Maybe adding international presentations of drug concentrations per ampoule/vial would make this the go to option and gold standard of must have for physicians?

Thanks , I tried to stick with the international concentrations specially in adult drugs. I know pediatric drugs are more local but the good thing is that these drugs collections are dynamically generated from my private server, so after some time I will add drug localisation by region and according it should display the appropriate concentration(user selects his region). Untill that time, any one can edit the concentration by long pressing on drug name
