I have a Nokia CW-7K Bluetooth (Advanced Car Kit), and I have successfully paired it with my Qtek 8310, but when I connect them together it show the car kit as a headset profile. I am wondering if there is a way to change it so that it will appear as a Car Kit instead.

i was wondering if the problem with some car kits bluetooth is related with the bluetooth profile in wm2005.
when i used wm2003, i remember that the connection with my car kit bluetooth was very quick and it disconnected very fast. it was headset profile in my wm2003.
Now we have hands free probile in wm2005 and everything is worst. the connection begins after the phone is ringing and we have problems with the strange noises hearing in thes car speakers.
can we manage the wm2005 bt stack to get only headset profile?
is there another solution?
thanks
I just bought a cingular 2125(HTC Faraday). It would pair with the phone, but would not allow me to use it with a jensen wt212 stereo headset as a handsfree device. I used the Tornado A2DP hack to give me the wireless stereo profile, but I still cannot use it as a handsfree device. What to do?
Does an application exist that will allow my WM device (Sony X1) to easily switch between mulitple paired headset / bluetooth devices.
I have my device paired with my car bluetooth kit, a A2DP headphones and an in-ear bluetooth handsfree device.
Each time I wish to use one of them I have to into Comms Manager etc ... so a today / homescreen plugin would be most useful
Cheers SB.
Hi,
I have an Orbit 2 and some Gear4 BT headphones - these don't connect automatically as a wireless stereo device (other ones I've tried do) - no matter - I've knocked up a MortScript to automate the connection process.
I now have a new Bluetooth car kit, which supports audio streaming to my stereo (Blaupunkt - very nice). It also fails to autoconnect. So now I need to modify my script to deal with 2 devices.
Does anyone know where in the registry I can find out the device ID or name of the currently connected BT handsfree device? (the handsfree portion auto connects for both). Then I can use this info to force the stereo streaming connection for the desired device.
Thanks in advance,
James

I have recently bought a car stereo that runs on Android 5.
I wanted to plug a BT remote but the stereo doesn't find it, but my phone does, so no problem with the remote control.
I have noticed that since it is a car stereo, it has the A2DP sink profile, and my phone sees it as a headset.
Is there a way to install/enable the others profiles so that I could pair the remote to the stereo and control it?
