How to change contact order - General Topics

After sync the contact list displayed in my Parrot is sorted first name - last name. I can't change but i relly would like to have it sorted "last name - first name".
Does anyone know how that works?

netflash: why did you post this in the news section?
Did you try searching for the solution to this problem?
eg, and this has been asked and answered very often:

How to change my forum "Profile name" in this forum?

Hi, Does nayone know how to change my profile name on this forum. If it is not possible how could i delete this name and add myself under another name?
Thanks
I want to do the same thing
Are you able to change your name or delete your profile ?
Come on guys, you have great names! It doesn't get much better than beaverfood. Well...
You could always just create a separate account. If you still want to change though, let me know and I'll ask the admin.

Receive MMS, shows phone number, not name?

I know this may have been briefly covered before in Dutty's thread, but 300 pages are a bit more than I want to re-read. Also this issue is present in the official HTC 6.1 rom.
When I receive an MMS from someone, it will either start a conversation with their phone number (even though they are a contact), or it will take an existing conversation and convert the name back to the contact's phone number.
I thought I read there was a way to fix this by formatting the phone numbers a certain way in your contact list.
If someone could tell me how to fix this, it would be great. Also a program that changes the format of phone numbers in bulk would be great to, if that's really what I need to do.
Apologies if there is a thread like this somewhere.
I assume everyone going to the 6.1 update will have this issue. I would imagine a sticky would be quite useful for this, unless there isn't some other kind of 6.1 sticky on issues already.

The ones in my addy book in this format +15555555555 show up with the name most of the time. Any other format they just show the number. It seems if i have no other messages from the sender, even formatted like above, they will just show the number. As of yet, I have found no easy way to fix it other than changing all my contacts.
As you have stated that there is a discussion about this in an existing thread you need to do into that thread and use the search function found next to "thread tools".
If you want to extract that info from the thread and either update the wiki or create a new "[SOLVED]" thread with it in the first post the whole community would be grateful.
Please don't create a new thread asking someone else to get the answer when you already know where it is.

XDA notifications?

Is there anyway I can get notifications like we get for PMs but when somebody replies to your post in a thread? Some threads are huge and I can't find where I posted my question, comment, concern, and can't find who replied and what they said?! Is there a feature I just can't find or does that just not exist? Please PM me with the answer, because I at least get a notification that I got a reply then. Thanks!
From what I can see there is nothing like that available on XDA (I couldn't be wrong, but I don't think so). You can however use the subscription feature that is built into vBulletin. Go to User CP > Edit Options > Subscriptions and change it from None to one of the options. That will then add a thread to your subscription list and show you when new posts have been made in that thread.
I have mine set to No Email which just adds the thread to your subscriptions list, I can't be bothered with the emails it sends you.
I'm thinking this is the closest feature you'll find to what you're wanting.

As far as I know, that's the best you can get with the software this forum is using.
Unless you mark threads as read, the "View first unread" feature (either visible in the thread, or the ">" icon next to thread titles in the forum view) will take you to the first reply after your post, and the emails/notifications links should take you to the first unread post in a thread.

Missing thread?

I had a conversation with linuxmotion and another member about where default home settings are stored about a year ago. It was a very insightful conversation and I went to reference it the other day and it could not be found. I can't find it in dinc topic (searched way back) or my participated topics. Anyone know why it would be removed or where it could've went? I can't even remember subject name anymore.
Edit. Subject could have been default workspace

[Q] Where's the "Thanks" button?

I've searched for some questions which solved what I was looking for, but i can't find the like/thanks. Other forums usually have it next to the name or the number of post of that thread. Thanks in advance.

You must be logged in to see it, once you are, you should see it at the end of a post.
Indeed, right under, next to 'QUOTE_MULTI-QUOTE_QUICK REPLY'
Also, the display style chooser, - the drop down box in the far bottom left of each page, with 'Copyright© xda-developers.' under it, must be set to XDA - 2010
If it is set to XDA - Classic, you wont see it.
