Oh wise ones of the forums can anyone tell me if there is a today plug in or piece of software that allows short cut icons to be placed in the bottom blue system/navigation bars. Like the quick launch icons in windows.
I tried searching the forum but coldnt find any answers

Attached is a current picture of my today screen. Im trying to do a number of things and havent been able to come across much concrete info when searching the forums.
Anyways here is what Im trying to do:
1. Remove ALL icons from the bottom of the screen (battery and active sync in this case)
2. Remove the black horizontal line just above the icons on the bottom
3. Remove the bar with Calendar and Contacts but only from the today screen
4. THe top icon for the battery, Ive seen it where people have percentages rather than a few bars, how can I change that?
Thanks guys.. trying to clear some room for my calendar stuff and the HTC plugin takes up over half the screen by itself. Thanks
Sad day for human intelligence
1. The second icon is not activesync icon. It is for the comm manager
To remove it, you'll need a registry editor. Then, go to HKLM>>services>>wirelessMgr>>keep=0
Regarding battery icon, I need to know whether the exe responsible for the battery icon is being used as a service or as a normal app.
Most probably, you can remove by going to File explorer>>windows>>startup>> here, you'll find a init(something).lnk file(i cannot remember the exact file name). Delete that file and soft reset
Second scenario(where it is used as a service): using registry editor>>HKLM>>services>>power>>ShowIcon=0
2. This line will be automatically removed once the icons from the bottom-bar are removed
3. For this, the max you can do is to match the line's bgcolor with the today bgcolor. Use an app like UItweaker to do that. Do a search on the forum and you'll find it
4. That can achived by either using batterypack pro/wisbar advance(differs from theme to theme)
Sorry that I brought down all of human intelligence..................
Anyways regarding number 3, I was hoping to remove the words Calendar and Contact as well as the bg behind it. Im trying to get as much real estate here as I can.
Thank you for all the info tho, about to try it all.
Use dcinobar - it will remove the lower bar, so calendar and contacts button will go. Use the cab i put together - sorry cant give you the link because i am on my device - put 'dcinobar' into search and its the 5th thread down. Yep the clock on the htc home plugin is way too big! Another htc design bungle! lol
Awesome. Before putting this on one quick one. Will this remove those buttons and lower bar JUST on the today screen? FOr apps and stuff Id like it to still be there. Not sure if I can have my cake and eat it too but would love to try =P
Thanks guys!
Just the today screen - there is also vjtoggle that does the same thing but i found that it kept causing the screen to mis-allign
FYI, if you don't know how to mess with the reg, I suggest using this..

I was browsing from work yesterday and was redirected to a few sites, other forums, and somewhere I saw a picture of a wizard home screen that had some program installed. It changed the start bar icon to a very vista-ish style look, green circle silver bar, plus it switched the clock and the close button. Unfortunately, I was at work, so I didn't have much time to really take a good look before I had to get back on the phones, so I lost the page. It may have been a rom, as I was reading the thread of a rom when I saw the screen captures of it, but I'm almost positive it was just a program using different skins. I've spent the last 3 hours trying to find this program again, trying to retrace my steps, but to no avail.
If anyone knows anything about this program, any info would be great.
Thanks everybody!

something totally new for our wizards. If there could be a way to remove the bars from the top and bottom and make the left softkey be the start menu that would look slick, Im tired of the bars. It would also be neat if we could find a way to change the background color in the windows to match the home screen, all the touch and today stuff is dark grey and when Programs or Settings is open , its got a white background. I think its an Idea, it would be nice to see the bars gone from the op and bottom of the screen and incorporated like in the chinese plugin link i posted earlier. what do you guys think, yay or nay?
A friend of mine showed me a theme for the HD2 2 days ago of some guy who also, according to him helped design the Iphone buttons and layouts.
I've been searching for over a hour, but I cant seem to find it.
The buttons had sort of vintage, funny, cartoony look, and so did the rest of the interface..
Where can I find this? I have no clue and I've been mindlessly looking through thoasands of threads
Cheers, Gerhard
I think you mean this...

I'm looking for a layout that resembles the windows xp desktop setup with the start menu on the bottom left of the screen
I want to create a new launcher and ive been reading the internet for tutorials and been messing with google app inventor but it just hasnt been working out.
im limited to design work and the idea is in my head but i need help with someone who knows how to code. heres a rough draft i did a few minutes ago to show an idea of what i want. theres still a lot of features i want to show but i didnt feel the need to put them all in this little sketch video.
if you like the idea and want to work with me, we can team up, u can message me in my inbox.

Hey, that looks pretty awesome.
Couple of questions though.
1) Is that a widget your intending for the centre of each screen, or is it the only place you can put icons?
2) Is the gap at the top and bottom being reserved for anything?
3) The dock bar at the bottom is showing differant icons on each 'screen'. Intended? Are they screen independant or do differant screens show differant icons?
4) What design reason is that large 'apps' rectangle at the bottom? Is that being filling by something else?
