Camera patch for i-Mate Jam. Where to get it for Qtek S100?

Need this one for Qtek S100. Please, help me to find it
This is the same, I installed it on my S100
Can you post a link to the file you have installed?
I`ve already got patch for Jam, but it`s not suitable for S100. I failed to install it.
Try this one, not sure if this is the last one ... Or you can have a look on the forum ... I'm sure you will find some links
It should be the same for the Jam, the XDAII mini and the S100. I used the Jam patch on my XDAII mini and it worked just fine. There must have been something wrong with the .cab file you downloaded
taron, thank you! This one I sucsessfully installed on my device!
I can say that it works!!!
With this settings camera quality really increased:
go to Adjust, then:
contrast 5
brightness 6
saturation 3
hue 5
sharpness 3
then do this:
options
General
flicker adjustment 50 hz

Camera App for WM5 on Himalaya?

Now that we have a working implementation of ArcSoft MMS for the Himalaya, is there any chance of bringing the camera application over from a Universal? I understand that the camera hardware is different, but I presume the application works through some sort of device driver, which we obviously already have on the Himalaya WM5.
Alternatively, has anyone managed to get the camera app from WM2003SE working under WM5?
Now the MMS issue has been solved, this is the only other major reason remaining for my not upgrading. I already upgraded once, but the lack of support from the major software I use and these other two issues meant that the upgrade effectively crippled my device. Now software support is starting to trickle through, it's just these core applications which need solving.
WARNING! DO NOT INSTALL THE 'Camera2K5.cab' FILE POSTED BELOW BY johnney ON HIMALAYA DEVICES. IT WILL LOCK UP YOUR DEVICE! THE POSTER OF THIS FILE MISUNDERSTOOD THE QUESTION!
well if it's not a general device driver then you cant use it
much like if you have a ati graphic card on your pc you cant use a nvidia driver
If you re-read my post, I wasn't suggesting the use of another driver for the camera, but rather the use of the one which is already there. I said the camera software probably interfaced with the camera through a device driver, so theoretically the software should be hardware independant.

Thry this patch!
Can anyone confirm that this patch works on a Himalaya? I thought it was intended for a BlueAngel...?
WARNING............
DO NOT INSTALL THE CAMERA PATCH....
It just locked up my device completely....
had to hard reset it
I hate you sooooo much dude!!!!!!!
3 hours of my life wasted starting now
SICK SICK SICK!!!!
All my data lost, holy crap
San
Johnney you are a savior! My BlueAngel's cam is working on WM5!!!!!
Excellent Job! Thanks m8
Can someone please remove that file from download before other Himalaya users mess up their devices? I was quite clear in my original post, and this guy obviously didn't test the file himself before urging others to use it. :x
This file works with Blue Angel! So let the file there for other BA users to get it! Just change the title to BA Camera Patch
As the original question related to a fix for the camera on Himalaya devices, I don't really see the point in changing the thread to a BlueAngel one, other than to further confuse people.
By all means start another thread with this information for BlueAngel owners, but in the meantime we're still looking for a fix for the Himalaya.
...???...
Few minutes ago I've tried this patch(I was ready for hard reset). This are my experiences:
-it DIDN'T lock my device!
-it disables the camera totally. That means no capturing interface, only album available.
...that means: It is for Himalaya with BuzzROM 1.60a unuseful.
Any ideas about camera in Himalaya yet?
Buzz can fix the camera issue, I assume he doesnt have time to do it at the moment

@ Rayan,
It's better quality, at least we know what object we were recording at, lol.. i mean it has clearer output now, but I notice when saving it seems slower. Btw, what did you change, did you increase or decrease some of the value. thanks
regards,
ferioz
@ferioz
First of all, let me say that this patch was not created by me, I found it over at Buzz_Lightyear's website (www.buzzdev.net ).
Yeah, the saving part of the process takes much longer to complete, but (correct me if I'm wrong) I think it's because now we are saving the clip to ROM, not RAM. That is, when recording it caches the video to RAM and then transfers it to ROM or SD which is also slower than normal RAM.
Conclussion, better this than nothing right?
Peace!

pocket pc help

hi - i recently bought an i-mate pocket pc which had WM5 installed on it
everything was fine untill when i was installing something it froze - i soft resetted and it wouldnt start up anymore - so i put it back to 2003 - its working fine now (a lot faster too) but the camera isnt working anymore - do i have to download special software or a driver or something or do i have to go back to WM5?
if i do then where would i get it from? i could only get 2003 from club imate
any help would be greatly appreciated
I have no idea wht I-Mate that you have so the only thing I can suggest is goint ot XDA-wiki (on the menu bar above) or checking the main thread page and matching the picture of you device.
hi
thanks so much for the quick reply
my pocket pc is called the imate pocket pc
here's its specs on the official imate site
http://www.clubimate.com/t-DETAILS_PPC.aspx

No way, sorry - it's NOT possible to install WM5 on the Magician. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=240960 for more info.
You hv not flashed probavly the extended ROM or since u had WM 5on it ect ROM does not exist. The camera Cab file is in the extended ROM.Suggest visit the FTP, himalaya section and get hold of camera cab from the extended ROm and install it..your camera will restart
hi
thank you all for your replies
i have the latest rom from imate and this is it
how would i go about getting the camera cab from that rom?
btw the file i got from imate site was
ruu172126wwe_imate.exe
does this file have the extended rom or is it a seperate file?
i'm sorry for my ignorance but this is my first pocket pc and i only got it a week ago
still learning
btw an extended rom is necessary or just extra?
WOW!!!!!!!!!
i found the camera software on your ftp in the himalaya section and it works now and SOOOOOOOOO much better than it was on WM5!!!!!!!
thank you so very much - it wasn't very important that the camera worked (since i thought that even if it did work it wouldnt matter coz the quality was so bad i wouldnt use it) but now that it does and the quality is so much better i couldn't be happier
again thank you all so much - i am in your debt

Thanks Dr Gonzo.
Keep up the gr8 work.. I will test it tonight..
If my phone is unable to boot then how can i restore back to your guava rom?
You have to re-flash it to New Guava, there is no "restore".
I'd say don't test it if you've never experienced an unusable phone
I'd like to know if people feel like me that it is faster ? It seems so.
But switching from portrait to landscape is very slow.. If someone has some knowledge of the files involved in this maybe it could be fixed.
Maybe it is because I have not ported all the files from wm 6.1 xip.
I still need to do a lot of tests here.
Hi Dr Gonzo
Being in touch with an expereinced person like you gives me the confidence to test it. I hope you will help me if GOD forbid i get an unusable phone...

THX in advance
Metanol
I'm going to flash your WM 6.1 ROM onto my Vox because I am courious what WM 6.1 is like. Is this just a plain WM 6.1 ROM or a New Guava ROM?
Roland
flashing done but my phone is stucked on mobile operator splash screen for a long time
this rom seems slower than wm6..
Damn I cant belive this. U r awesome dude!
Thanx god u had the great idea to buy the vox!
What does Unusable mean? Something like a beta version? Or an alpha? I mean can I call send sms etc? Thanx.
ok i got a screen like the one dr gonzo posted.. its gr8
speed is very very gooooooooooooooooood
here is version information
windows mobile 6.1 Standard
OS 5.2.19195
Radio 4.1.13.54_03.10.90
I've just flashed my phone with this ROM, it's very fast compared with WM 6, the screen quicker when the keyboard has been opend compared with WM 6, needs clear type switching on and HTC Audio Manager adding and it will be looking good, keep the revisions coming as you port more of the ROM to the Vox. Can not wait to see what yuou do with the New Guava ROM when you have fineshd porting all of WM 6.1.
Roland
dude post some screenshot!
activesync also working fine with it..
need some clean fonts & cleartype enabled...
GPRS, bluetooth & wlan not working...
drivers needed for them..
wake up dr gonzo.. we need you
lol i'm pretty sure he said its still in the testing phase....cant expect hourly updates lol

GPRS works for me but wifi and bluetooth don't. Have you run the network setup wizard that pops up when your phone booted after it booted to the OS for the first time after Flashing the ROM?
Roland
Yep! Gprs works like a charm, wifi bluetooth not. Is there the t9? I cant find it, I trie to install the all language cab from the new guava 3d. The phone is fast very fast and quite stable too. Great work doc!

C_ShekharAKU3.5c or Virgy_164864
