I'm rather a 'dummy' concerning changing the OS (Win Mobile) on the mobile I recently bought (secondhand) . I'm the owner of a Qtek 9000 now - one thing : the 'thing' has a German Windows Mobile and I would have liked to change it into English. Searching into the 'posts' it seems to me that it can be done. However I don't know where to start and I don't know what I need in order to obatin, finally, a proper working device - in English. Can anyone help me ?

basically u need to get a WWE ROM at the FTP website and as well as the noID file that allows u to cross flash the ROMs. what i just said may be pretty confusing for you but here's a link for you to read up on that would clear a lot of your doubts

Tried to access the XDA FTP site but can never get in , is this someting I'm doing ( IE 6 ) ?
The Imate ROM is better with the Extended Partition CABS I would like to put that on my QTEK if possible? But need a ROM of my QTEK first (Ship)

I assume that your PPC isn't an imate! Therefore ,the arabizer won't work on your device, thus you're able to flash the extended rom,check the wiki about the country ID error,anyway dont waste your time Imaginet package can be intalled on imate devices only especially the cabs included in the arabized extended roms. You can buy the arabized package from Handango or pocketgear.

the Proximus Collection ( Belgian Provider ) please reply in this topic.
I had my phone for one day and I already flashed it to a Dutch ROM cause strange enough this Proximus ROM was English. I tried dumping
the ROM in a terminal to a SD card but I had no rights ( said the terminal screen ). But now I just saw there is another method. So my question now is that anyone who has his S200 still working with this Custom Proximus ROM, please let me know so he/she can dump the rom and send it to me ( or on public FTP, so anyone can use ) then I'm able to restore to original state. Thanks.

I have qtek s200 with a chinese interface which i want to change to an english interface. any assistance, please.
when i got my S200 (also from Belgium) i was instructed to go to http://www.smart-phones.be and get the rom there.
i saw that there is still a ROM available for the S200 over there, it's RUU_Prophet_2090724_20907106_020720_QtekWWE_Ship.exe
i don't think it's the original proximus one, but might be usefull to someone. pretty fast ftp also.

I just want to make sure that I understand well. I have a Qtek S200 originally with a Russian rom. Four months ago, I switched to a English ROM. The version that is installed now is: 2.15.13.27 WWE (Rom date 3/9/06, Radio version 02.19.21, Protocol version 4.1.13.09, extROM version 2.15.13.121.) After watching all recent exchanges, I have verified that my device is a G3 (SPL: 2.15.0000.)
I am interested to upgrade it if it possible with the 32.6MB package that I downloaded at: ftp://xda:[email protected]_edition.exe. I am very interested by the "new" pushemail function, which seems to exist in this upgrade.
Could you please tell me if this package is "adapted" to the situation? Thks.

Hi, I'm new in all this. Recently I get one MDA Compact (Magician). It all works but I have one problem. It's Germany version, and I don't know German so I want to switch it on English. Can somebody tell me how can I do this exactly (some links, guide, which programs I need to use), because I'm new in all this and I don't want to brake my gift I read some tutorials but I didn't get it all and I'm scared that I will burn ROM.

Hi,
The best solution for You is using .exe files provided by operators like T-mobile (Germany) or Era (Poland). These ROM versions are usually WWE (World Wide English - Edition) and can be found on operator web pages usually as "support".
Here You go:
