I tried to register on windowsmobile.it to download it but I couldn't since the system responds "your device is already registered"...but it's not true.
so I tried an IMATE rom but it "hard resets" every couple of day...so I want to try the original rom.

Have you visited the ftp ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Magician/Shipped_ROMS/ ? There are loads of ITA oms, though I can't say which one you need.

I bought my Magician on eBay and it is the best phone I have ever had. The phone is amazing. But of course 2 months have passed and I am dying to improve the phone. The Brand is a DOPOD 818, which is the HTC Magician or iMate JAM.
I see everyone here has the ROM 1.06, mine is 1.01.00WWE with a ROM Date of 10/21/04/ I am sure I should be upgrading my ROM for the enhancements but I am not sure how or where to go.
Everyone says to go to Club iMate but unfortunately my IMEI is registered through DOPOD and not iMate. The DOPOD site does not look like it has an updated ROM.
Can I use a generic ROM? Where can I get one? I am in the USA using T-Mobile, if that helps.
Please let me know what I should do.

you will need to do a lot of readings before upgrading... and if your device doesn't have any problems then don't upgrade... the latest version from imate is really bad.. i have tried it and went back the old one which 1.03.00 ... anyways go to this ftp ftp://xda:[email protected]/Magician/
and you will all the latest ROMs....

Just got it today and have spent the whole day trying to find a QTEK English written web site . Does one exist ?
Tried to access the XDA FTP site but can never get in , is this someting I'm doing ( IE 6 ) ?
The Imate ROM is better with the Extended Partition CABS I would like to put that on my QTEK if possible? But need a ROM of my QTEK first (Ship)

hey guys, is there any XDA neo official english rom available?
Xda Neo is for German market only, so obviously there will not be an English ROM for Xda Neo. But as you know Xda Neo is a brand of HTC Prophet, which has other similar brands like Qtek S200, i-mate JAmin, Dopod 818Pro... and all these products have English ROM, so you can upgrade your Neo with these English ROM image. Unfortunately i dont know any method how to upgrade to another language other than using JAFWM USB device.

You can download either the new qtek wwe or imate jaming rom (i'll suggest you use the i-jaming rom. It is more stable and has no memory leak like the qtek rom.) to upgrade it the english version. But then , you will have to get rid of the CID check. It you search the prophet section you will find information on how to override the CID check. The best method is to use the hack provided by machinegod (once again search through the forum). Instruction on "How TO" is provided.

I tried some things yesterday to change the ROM of XDA NEO
I first tried to install the
JAMin_WWE_213923_2139123_022021_ship
this failed with error 294 invalid Vender ID
I tried to search the forum and there I can accross
one posting where I can unlock the CID, using
Enable Rapi.bat
I again tried the same executable but it again failed
with the same error
Then I came accross another executable to unlock the
CID
romupdateutility.exe
and there was a rom associated with that
RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship.exe
I installed that and it worked
Most of the Posting here says that
JAMin_WWE_213923_2139123_022021_ship is the best for XDA NEO
As the CID lock is now removed so I thought I should
be able to indtall the JAmin Rom and tried that but
that failed with this error
Error [296] upgrade only
This NBF file cannot be used for your PDA phone please
get newer NBF File
Can you please guide me if its good to install the JAmin Rom, if yes how can i do that and avoid this 296 error

This is possible....
Download the latest ROM update from I-mate Website or rather ftp.clubimate.com - and extract the ROM to a folder and replace the romupdateutil.exe from MachineGod into the folder.
Now you can check for a thread in the forum for this exe file(look for VendorID hack). Right now I don't have it. But if you can't find it lave me an email will send you once I'm back home on Monday.
All thanks to MachineGod for the altered Util with the verdorID hack.
It works great on my phone.. since past two weeks.... I had a German Version of XDA Neo which is now loaded with the latest WWE ROM for Imate JaMin.

I just want to make sure that I understand well. I have a Qtek S200 originally with a Russian rom. Four months ago, I switched to a English ROM. The version that is installed now is: 2.15.13.27 WWE (Rom date 3/9/06, Radio version 02.19.21, Protocol version 4.1.13.09, extROM version 2.15.13.121.) After watching all recent exchanges, I have verified that my device is a G3 (SPL: 2.15.0000.)
I am interested to upgrade it if it possible with the 32.6MB package that I downloaded at: ftp://xda:[email protected]_edition.exe. I am very interested by the "new" pushemail function, which seems to exist in this upgrade.
Could you please tell me if this package is "adapted" to the situation? Thks.

is your version G3 or G4 and hv u ever tried upgraded with HardSpl??
Many people here had this problems, so don´t panic!
Try to find a ROM that uses the JumpSPL - Method if you don´t want to HardSPL.
I used theProphet Tools Light to get the job done. It even works with most other ROMs. Great Tool!
And if you want to get back the WM5 version of your phone read Prophet_recovery and download the AKU 2.2 ROM
