ATOM upgrade ---- Expansys return - General Topics

Ive just got hold of an atom from expansys and also ive been using a jammin for the last week ....I know wih expansys they allow you to send an item back before 21days are over after purchase....Im really unsure on which device to keep as they are both good.
Ive heard the atoms alot better after the last rom update, the atom ive got has the first rom on it...Do you think if i upgrade the rom on the device and decide to stick with my jammin will they allow me to send it back do you think or not?
Thanks

Any ideas guys .Ill doubt theyll even know.....What do you think?

You always can downgrade your device to the previous versio
You always can downgrade your device to the previous version of ROM. Do it carefully!

WM 6 to WM5

Hi All!
This might have been asked a zillion times, but i couldn't find a very to the point asnwer to the question that if one installs the cooked ROMS available here on JASJAR/Universal, will at any point of time, one be able to downgrade or revert back to WM5 using the imate ROM available on club imate?
I tried searching the wiki but nothing substantial is there on this issue in relation to JASJAR/Universal.
If yes, then how and is there any special procedure to follow?
Kindly reply any one of you as I am thinking of upgrading the ROM on my JASJAR.

YES.
Preocedure is same: as you doing upgrade, you do downgrade.
Nothing special. Just run the WM5 Update Tool
Thank you both for the replies.
I would like to ask, are there any known issues while doing this?

Before you upgrade to WM6 make sure you have eatleast bootloader V1.0.
Going back to WM5 is no issue as long you follow the right flashing procedure and don't interrupt anything during flashing.

Original Orange UK TYTN II Rom Needed

Hi,
I have followed the steps to flash my phone and I have loaded the Dutty release on it, however it appears that its now asking me for the Network unlocking code, is there anyway that I can back the original Orange Rom onto it and if so where can I get it from?
does anyone here have the Orange ROM or know where I can get it from - or is there another way around?
Thanks

Where is it asking the network unlocking code?
An orange version is not available yet and wont be until they release an update.
Its not that you have flashed the rom thats the problem its because you have flashed the radio which is causing you grief.
I've not flashed mine but i think your only option now is to call orange and ask for the network unlock code which will cost you £20 and be supplied in 2-3 weeks. Or you could search the forum for a member that will unlock the phone for a donation.
I know people have dumped their orange rom but i'm pretty sure its not been successfully flashed back yet.
its asking me at the end of the custom software installation, just after I have put in my PIN number? is there any other options? I only got the phone today??
:-(

[Q] help geting sprint arrive back to 7.5 or 7.0

I have tried leadpoizon and sianto 7.8 I liked them both but my phone is overheating and I need to take it in. I tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1142120 and that doesn't get me back to HTC Arrive stock even though I followed all the steps and it completes. It won't connect to the sprint network and it says its a HTC MWP6885 (HTC 7 Pro) Should list as HTC T7575 (HTC Arrive). Any help would be great. Thanks.
tri color screen info below.
PC93100 SS-BC (4k)
SPL_1.25.230506.1(118490)
MicroP(LED) 0x06
TOUCH A1(v10,20)
Radio-1.51.00.0127rc
ED sandisk 15193MB Class0
Partition info-v211v413
You must've flashed the wrong ROM, the one for the GOLD aka 7 Pro. That's the European version of the Arrive, so you can imagine why the cell radio isn't working.
Refer to my post in the following thread to obtain the correct ROM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36352212&postcount=2
Always be sure the ROM you are flashing says GOLD_C in the title, if it doesn't then don't flash it.
GOLD_C is US HTC Arrive
GOLD_S or GOLD is EU HTC 7 Pro
You may also want to refer to the DFT RSPL/HSPL thread as there are special notes about rolling back to NoDo or Mango.
Good luck!

The ROMs I was using are:
RUU_Gold_C_Sprint_WWE_1.29.563.02_Radio_1.51.00.01 _23.12W.05.06U_NoDo_by_ansar
RUU_Gold_C_Sprint_WWE_1.29.563.02_Radio_1.51.00.01 _23.12W.05.06U_NoDo_Signed_by_ansar
That should be the correct ROM right? I followed the instructions here.

This takes me to a site in a different language that has no download links.
Huh.. Looks like they've been coming down..
Anyway, this is the ROM I loaded onto my device before bringing it in. It's a 7.0, so the Zune software does all the updating after initial flash. Wish I could help you out, but I cant find the ROM either..
I have a copy of the stock sprint rom sitting in my "phone hacking" folder. Anyone know of a fast and easy hosting site?
I always prefer Mediafire.
I think I have a copy of the rom I tried to link you to, if Jonny can't get his up then I will try to upload it for you tonight.

Not a problem, I wasn't able to work on it until a few hours ago anyway, so no big deal.
here is my link just as a backup. Link
Hey, to return it to Sprint for a new one do you think we should out it back into spl mode? Of course I have no problem reloading the rom. I am just curious what you would do. I am upgrading to the LG Optimus G on my main line and putting the Arrive on my second so I wanted a fresh device and they will replace it for free.
There is a good change that one if the first repair attempts they try would be a reflash, so very likely they would notice HSPL loader. If its not to difficult I'd be on the safe side and it put it back to SPL. There is something in the DFT thread regarding downgrading the SPL, so check that first as not doing it correctly can semi brick the phone.

New guy here. Please be easy on me. Updates questions and concerns.

Hey everyone,
As stated in the title, I'm a real noob when it comes to rooting/flashing phones. Please bear with me through the stupid questions.
I've started to get sick/bored of my phone running version 4.4.2 with emui 3.0. I bought this phone off Amazon when it came out because I wanted something new. Sammy, LG, etc weren't producing phones I liked.
when the Mate 8 came out with newer software, I wondered what would happen with my phone, and boy did I get some bad news.
I own the MT7-TL10V100R001C00B130 version, which seems to get none of the updates that the Malaysia area phones get.
http://imgur.com/78imLxd
I messaged Huawei Support, and they confirmed the bad news.
http://imgur.com/XtQpgoW
I even tried contacting the UAE support like they suggested, but I haven't gotten a reply back.
I've looked at threads like:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/help/help-please-impossible-to-update-mt7-t3286615
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/general/huawei-mt7-l09-l10-stock-firmware-ota-t3275784
but in the end, they don't help me very much.
I've given up on any hope of my phone being updated OTA, so I've decided to sign up and post here to ask question(s):
1. Is there a firmware I can download/install to update my phone to something newer even if the builds don't match?
2. If I must result to rooting, I'm willing to give it a try, but then I'd like to have Nougat on the phone. Are there stable builds for this yet? or must I wait longer?
Thanks very much for reading and any help you can provide.

Hi,
To answer your questions:
1) You can download B324 Malaysia from https://mega.nz/#!h1JDnQaB!En6LMDE6hbm22m0xFX2fbWZWwoGX2urEXrPRJaFlRxc, unzip it and put UPDATE.app file in SDCARD/dload folder in root of SDCARD. Then try to update it from the Updater in Settings. You will then have lollipop. Back up your apps/settings etc before, just in case.
2) Not necessary to root, but there are lots of posts in the Mate7 forum that can assist if you do want to root. Nobody knows yet if Nougat will be released for the Mate 7 (I'm thinking unlikely, as we already got Lollipop and Marshmallow, and the phone is two years old, but you never know)
thanks for much for the info.
for option #1, is there any other precaution i need to take? do i simply just copy paste into the sd card?
