Question about upgrading?!? - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 Software Upgrading

Hi,
I'm from Portugal and just bought a used Qtek S100, i wanted to upgrade it to the last version, so i have some questions which i couldnt see answer or got to confused while reading dozens of threads on the forums, if i'm reposting in any form, please forgive me.
1st. My Qtek S100 is locked to my operator, will the upgrade unlock it?
2nd. If the upgrade doesnt unlock it how can i do it?
3rd. Which is the latest version that my Qtek S100 will handle? I dont mind if it is in English.
4th. Can you point me into direction on a "how to" upgrade the Qtek S100?
My Qtek S100 currently runs:
ROM Version: 1.06.00 WWE
ROM Date: 01/06/05
Radio Version: 1.05.00
Protocol Version: 1337.39
ExtROM Version: 1.06.116 WWE
Will apretiate any help given, also forgive me is my English isnt satisfatory, its not my mother language.

Got it, thnaks alot oltp to point me in the right direction, i now have:

ROM Date: 05/28/05
Radio Version: 1.12.00
Protocol Version: 1337.42
ExtROM Version: 1.12.550 WWE

I guess there are too many threads considering upgrading, but that's the way it is. Can't change that.

i-mate jam ROM upgrade/updates?

Hi I know this might be a stupid question, but are there any rom/software/flash upgrades for the i-mate jam so far?
I don't see any in club i-mate, i just wanted to make sure i have the latest rom. it is:

WM6 For Wizard I_Mate K-Jam

Hi peoples
I got the I-Mate K-Jam which is also known as the Wizard. Bought in South Africa. Its unlocked, and I have been trying two different roms from this website. The one from "mUn" I think and another one, not sure who made it, forgot. The problems is that both of these updates send me the message saying that the update utility is too old. How do I fix this and which is the most stable and ideal version of WM6 for the Wizard?

you have the cid unlock it and then follow the procedure from there..ther are millions..and i well mean millions of people who have asked this question
just search for it.. you need to use shelltool to install that ROM..

Please don't criticize me for this but i'm looking for the WM6 Update for my phone. i've searched high and low with now result. Can someone help.
They are all over the place. Just open your eyes...
If you managed to find this forum, you're here.
There is no one the WM6 update. Choose a ROM that looks promising and flash it.
First step: read, read, read.
There is a list of various WM6 ROMS here, but there are some exiting newer ROMS to be found that haven't made that list as well.

Hi, I'm a new user and I'm reading theese threads from days trying to find the best rom in order to update my Qtek9100 (IPL/SPL 2.18) to WM6.
From the IPL/SPL value, my Phone is a G3 device, right?
I tried the T-MOBILE 2.26 and the XDA 6 r2, but I always had an error (Invalid Vendor ID with T-MOBILE; Error 302 [UPDATE ERROR] with the XDA 6 r2).
Could you tell me which ROM is the best for my phone in order to have WM6?

I forgot to say that I tried the RUU_mUn_aRTM_10_2_0_8_WWE.exe. Everything seemed to be ok, but when restarted, my phone OS remained the same:

Rom date: 2/14/06
Radio version: 02.07.10
Protocol version: 413.1.03

You need to CID unlock your phone

You need to find Dr. Puttingham's difinitive guide to unlocking your Wizard. Note that the unlock only works with IPL 1.x.x and a 1.x.x OS so you will need to flash the Button .5 ROM first to get set for unlock, follow the guide to do 2 diferent unlocks, then flash an OEM Ship ROM, then the WM6 ROM of your choice. Read, then Read, then Read, then try.

Now I've got a strong 2.26 IPL/SPL with the NBD 8.3 ROM which made my Qtek9100 a new HTC Touch
In theese days I've read lots of threads and I've found a new world for WM Phones... You, people of xda-developers, are great!!

I can tell you where exactly to find the t-mobile official wm5 rom but not th qtek 9100.
