Hi all...
I was wondering if people more experienced could help me with a strange problem.
I can't seem to send or receive sms'es. When I send an sms, nothing happens, and the message just sits there in the "Outbox".
When I send an sms to myself (from another phone), the phone WAKES UP, but no message shows up. So obviously the phone is receiving the message but it's not showing up? Maybe it's being blocked somewhere?
I've checked my settings, sms is set to send via GSM and the service center number is correct.
Also to confirm - I've tried hard-reset and the phone received sms'es fine.
But as soon as I reload my backup, it no longer receives/shows the sms'es being received. So something is block the sms from showing up. What program/setting would it be?
After installing slick, palringo, taptapsms, incoming sms not stored
I noticed the day after installing IM client, named slick, palringo and opening tapsms, i cant see my incoming sms after it comes..
it shows the notification 1 message unread, after i open it, i just see the history of sms of the same sender got bold, but only with old message, theres no new sms.. ( cant find the new received sms )
I've reset the phone, unplug the battery, its still the same..
anyone have a clue ?
I used WM 6.1 on my XDA IIs
Thanks.

Hi,
I have the O2 Serra/HTC Touch Pro, I looked on the Wiki and ran a search and could not find an answer to this. When I receive a txt message, if I bring up the menu then select Forward it does not send all the message, it sends just part of it. The phone is as it was supplied, I dont know whether you can update the "Firmware" so to speak, as I am new to Windows Mobile.
I wondered if there was a cure for this SMS/Text problem,
Any advice welcome,
SDM197.

Hi all,
First time posting here and have a problem with my I-mate so thought I would dip into the knowledge pool before I brick my phone or throw it through a closed window.
My i-mate ultimate 8502 will not send SMS text messages. Will receive fine and MMS and voice calls no problem. Im on Virgin (UK) it keeps saying" text message failed"
Its my first use with Windows 6.1 I was on Symbian before which I got the hang of but this all new to me, any help is much appreciated.

Good luck,
Check the SMS service number is correct. Outbound SMS messages are routed through a particular number unique to your telco.
This is WinMo 5.0 but it's not a million miles away.
From the Phone Dialing screen.
Menu->Options
Click the Services Tab, then then "Voice Mail and Text Messages" in the dropdown box, and then click Get Settings...... Takes a few seconds to retrieve the info.
The Text Messages Service number for Virgin Mobile (UK) should be set to: +447958879890.
Good Luck.......
