I have an XDA. I have tried to add the GPRS settings with no luck. I now have several sets of incorrect settings in my XDA.
How do I delete all these settings so that I can start again?
Thank you.

Ok so I get the fact that if you soft reset when it installs all of the bloatware then it will cancel the install. However, I have done search but the answer was not very clear. When I stop the bloatware from being installed, does that mean I going to have to cinfigure all of the mms settings and internet settings? If so then when were would I find those settings for the at&t tilt? Also, will the cellular video cab for the 8525 work on the tilt or does someone need to make a new version? Any answers on this stuff would be greatly appreciated and like i said earlier, the search did not really give me a definite answer.
did the search not give you a deffinate answer or just not the one your looking for? You can find the MMS and WAP setting by search for Cingular MMS settings on google and this forum and also the cingular video will work with MediaNet as your ISP settings.
It still has proper internet settings. Haven't check the MMS though...
or you can always boot it up normally with all the bloatware, copy all the settings, and then hard reset and do the anti-bloatware boot.
I read that the att.cab file is the settings cab which you can install separately after un-hiding the install cabs on the tilt...? can anyone verify this?
The soft reset upon initial configuration on the tilt should leave the media net (3g) settings in tact...i dont know about the MMS yet but text messages, internet and push email with my exchange server work fine right now.
If any of those settings need manual configuration, all those settings can be found here.
One thing I noticed is the connection profile MEdia Net does not have the proxy settings out the box. The support page will have you input those settings. I find it's not necessary with the auto proxy detect in place. Also using MEdia Net with proxy settings may not allow CV to work.

MMS works fine. The only thing you may want to do is download the enable and disable proxy cabs. Check out this thread on HoFo: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1257055
I can send & receive email over Wifi with no issues, but over the T-mobile network
I have the connection-wizard t-mobile settings installed which work for web-browsing but not email. I have tried manually entering settings but still no joy.
Not sure now if it's the ROM or just some setting somewhere, but only started when reflashing with the DCS v13 rom.
Has anybody got any ideas what could be causing this?
How many more times is this question going to be asked!!!
Goto your network settings and disable "use proxy" for your tmobile settings.

Well first of all use proxy is already disabled but makes no difference.
Where was it asked [and answered] before? (I searched but did not find...)...perhaps in that thread there are some other pointers that might help diagnosis
I've just fixed my email connection problems. See if this helps at all (fourth page of thread):

.. So every time I reboot it wants to take me to the connection settings (I've already set up my GPRS/3G and it works fine), and the phone always thinks I'm roaming.
Also, according to my providers webpage (It's Simyo in Spain) they keep sending me config SMS's but they don't seem to be received.
Can anyone help? Thanks
By the way I have Googled this and found lots of references to the connection wizard but I can't find it. If I go to settings -> connections -> connections, then I just get "Simyo" with 'add connection' and 'manage connections' below it, and a similar set of links for 'my work connection'
Never mind, I found the connection setup, it just wasn't showing in the settings menu of Bell UI.
Sorry, I'll mark this solved now.
[edit: Oh I can't change the thread title...]
I have a US Cellular G920R4, unlocked.
USC has co-opted the data connection. For example, I can add an APN for Verizon and select it, but it doesn't work.
If you set the APN setting to default and remove all APNs, it dispalys a message that states that "APN settings are disabled for the current user profile."
Data is 3G by default.
Also, they've locked the browser such that you can not remove or even change the default home page, which is the USC portal.
How to I eliminate their default setup and restore the APN settings?
I was having a problem with this also and I was able to add a working APN by disabling WiFi first. You'll still see the APN settings disabled error until you add the new APN. You'll then be able to select the radio button next to the APN you added after it has been saved. It worked for me just now so I hope that helps you.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I am glad the solution worked for you and, hipefully it will help others. The WiFi settings on my device were disabled. I can add an APN and select it as default, but it's ignored - even after I delete all APNs by returning to default settings and starting over.

Hey, I'm new with this device.
I'm not able to use my celular data only my wifi because I cannot edit or add my apn settings.
In the screen just appear "Apn settings are not available for this user"
Already tried with a factory reset, so many reboots with the WiFi on.
Any help?
Thanks.
Please moderator, close the thread. I found the solution.
