How do I do a hard reset?
Also, if I do this, will I lose everything off my XDA including the programs?

If I do a hard reset, will I have to get my phone re-activated at us cellular?

Yes, it is, but I already did a hard reset and phone is working great. = ]
Every time I install manilla-2d my phone slooooows way down, and once I couldn't get it to uninstall, Backed up my contacts and stuff and started fresh.
Worked wonders for my speed.
Hello guys,
As everyone, my added words from xt9, disapear after a soft reset, wich is quite annonying.
I know it's a bug from HTC, but I wanted to know if somenone had a solution either for the words not disapear, either to make a simple backup and recover them automatically after soft reset?
Check here for possible solution
Thanks for the reply but those guys are talking from hard reset and several methods are using a soft reset (which, in my, and probably your case, clear all the added words).
My question was more clearly, does it happen to other users too? (Is it ROM dependant)
And does it exist a method or a cab (which will, for exemple, make a regular copy of the eXt9.exe and copy it again just after a soft reset)...

AFAIK, it is a common issue with WM6.5 as I have seen many threads regarding this issue.
I know of no automatic way to backup and restore the eXt9 files on soft reset, but whether a soft reset or hard reset, the manual results would be the same.
Sorry...
Found this, it may help, but still not automaitc
hi
i tried some registry tweaks on my nike, because no alternative keybord worked. But after a soft reset my phone allways stops booting while shwing the startscrenn with Rominformation.
Can a edit the registry or do i have to make a hardreset. if i have to do a hardreset: Is it possible to restore the Data after a hardrestet (e.g. the contactlist or the sms)
thx

just do the hard reset and then do a full restore w/ Sprite or SPB or whatever you backed the device up with before you started messing with the registry.
definitely a better idea to back up your stuff first before beginning to mess with anything. try the my phone back up or search for a backup application before you do a hard reset next time.
is there a solution to back up all data including apps and such?
my tab is very slow and freezing,I have probs with the camera and so on...

If you load all the same data/apps you'll end up with the same problem you are having now, most likely. These issues are usually caused by some funky apps or app data. Better off wiping and installing the apps fresh, couple, or even one, at a time to see which apps are causing issues. As for the original question, I don't think there is anything out there that can save everything without root, but maybe someone who knows better will come along to correct me.
The solution is right on your tab and is called Asus Backup.
But I totally agree with faustus1005. If you restore everything after a factory reset, you may save yourself the trouble. You would be dumping all the cr*** back into your system.
It's easy enough to copy your pictures, videos, documents etc to your computer or a SD card. Reinstall your apps slowly and check if and how they affect performance.
If you do a factory reset use it as a chance to identify what's messing up your system.

Dug around and found my kids old 740C tablet. To my dismay, it's got a bloody passcode. Tried all the combinations I can think of to do a hard reset, but I'm at a loss so far. Manual mentions a hard reset, but forgets to tell ye' how. Maybe I am just blind though. Thanks ahead of time!
