Note: ExtROM with Arabizer...
Best regards,,,
nice work thanx alot
ehh
is this a full rom? can i install it on my t-mobile ? and would it completly update my mda compact?
Can some body get the password for the ROM files...
Hmmm…. Had no success yet getting out password to open Ms.nbf. But I found that we can upgrade Radio.nbf. So extract jam ROM to a folder delete Ms.nbf and NK.nbf and start Himaupdate.exe . The process of radio upgrade will appear. Anyway I installed the jam rom thru SD earlier. So finally I have radio updated. Lets wait until the password unlock, than it will be like before!

Seeking Clarification On Rom Upgrading

Hi,
I am a new UK MDA user and I would like to upgrade to the latest Imate ROM.
I have downloaded the file WWE_11200_128_11210_ship.exe from xda-developers ftp but I am slightly confused over the extended rom bit.
Am I right in thinking that I do the ROM update using the file above and let the unit boot normally on completion.
I then use file manager to go to the "Storage" area and copy the contents of the latest Imate extended rom folder (ImateJAM_WWE_1.12.119 from XDA's ftp) to this area.
I then reset the device and it should load up the programs that I have just saved.
Thanks
Stu
You are partly correct. The file you mentioned will upgrade your ROM (Radio ROM, CE ROM en Ext ROM). So the ExtROM part is already included and will be installed after the upgrade, no other effort is needed
Thanks for the reply.
I couldn't work out why nobody talked about the extended rom as part of the upgrade and your explanation solves that.

Brand spanking new UK T-Mobile MDA compact Rom 1.12.00 WWE !

Uploaded. brand spanking new T-Mobile UK MDA compact ROM
(Now in the magician uploads sectiom)
R 1.12.00
G 1337.42
D 1.12_WWE
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Magician/
Full rom extracted using romupdate to 256mb SD card and extracted from the card using ntrw.exe. MDA was brand new unused and this rom has not been modified in any way.
Anyone tried this ROM? T-Mobile have had the most stable ROMS in the past ...
Maybe you misunderstood, this ROM was extracted from a brand new MDA compact that I took delivery of on Friday. It is not a modified ROM or a Qtek, its a genuine T-Mobile ROM on an MDA compact part no 99HAK026-00.
I extracted it wth romupdate.exe, copied from my sd card (256MB) using ntrw.exe and ftp straight up.
downloaded half of it last night but can't seem to download the rest today - please share again

Hi
So many people downloaded it that it blew my download bandwidth limit with my hosting company. I'll copy it to the ftp.xda-developers.com site, probably best place for it anyway.
Where abouts on the ftp site have you put it, and whats it called?
Thanks
Uploading it now to the uploads section, should be there in a few minutes
i cant find it too.
Cant wait to get it though!
Don't suppose T-mobile have applied the BigStorage hack by any chance??!!
Joking aside- thanks for taking the time to upload it Bobster.
thanks for sharing this.
At least someone has been good enough to since its quite clear T-mobile have no intentions of providing any updates to current users.

Few minutes is a good joke.... ;-) 256 MB are quite a much off stuff....
An other question is, why uploading twice? One time in the Upload folder and one time in the upload/Magician folder....
I'm going to split the file in the right size and will move it then in the Magician folder.....
Regards
Stefan
sorry for being a complete noob, but how do i install this .nb1? Last time i flashed my firmware it was a windows exe that installed it all for me.
The nb1 file is a ROM dump, which in this case you would have to follow the procedure as shown in one of stickies 'How to upgrade your rom to latest one' (or whatever it's called).
Cant seem to find the uploaded new T-Mobile MDA Compact rom?
Is it uploaded??

This link doesn't work for me... Any ideas why?
Some users experience problems using FTP via Internet Explorer. Try using a FTP client software- FTP Surfer is a free one- can't remember the exact link- try a search in Google.
Any other FTP client should also be fine.
Also make sure you are using the correct login details (change them from file menu in Internet Explorer>
user name: xda
password: xda
!!! NEWS !!!
It has finally been uploaded and is in the Magician section of the uploads folder on the ftp site
at
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Magician/
I just re-loaded it on an oder MDA compact and it works fine , i find it always works if
1) Make a copy of your existing ROM on the sda crd using romupdate.exe as this seems to format your SD card correctly.
2) Copy your existing rom from the sd card using ntrw.exe BUT DO NOT FORMAT OR ERASE YOUR SD IN ANY WAY
3) Copy the new ROM onto your SD using ntrw.exe
4) Insert the SD card and boot to bootloader, about 8 seconds later it will promt you to flash
It is not a bigstorage rom , its a normal T-Mobile with extended ROM and seems to have the improved bluetooth and a two device comparison (old and new together) shows faster navigation around menus.
Good luck downloaing,

I didnt upload twice, my ftp client stalled (well at least I thought it had)

german rom from QTEK (Howto?! / Questions)

Hiho,
I have a Swisscom branded QTEK S200 atm running Dopod, but actually I'd like to install this:
GER_RUU_Prophet_215742_2157131_023021_QTEK.exe
But I get the Vendor ID Error and I didnt find a usefull way to trick it, should it be possible to install the ROM above?
Wheres the right Howto to remove that Vendor ID problem?
MY Qtek:
ROM: 2.15.13.27 WWE
ROM Date: 3/9/06
Radio: 02.19.21
Protocol: 4.1.23.09
ExtROM: 2.15.13.121
What is that with those G3 G4 chips, how do I find it out?
What else do you have to know to help me installing the ROM above?
How can I edit the registry, can I just connect with my regedit.exe on my computer to my qtek?
TIA!
Check the files on the ftp, i think there is a Update-Program that doesnt check the vendor ID.
And please upload the Rom
Edit:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=264509&highlight=vendor
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=273114&highlight=vendor
Acutally I think I understand something wrong :-\
I want to upgrade my Qtek to the version I posted in that thread. But I get the error with the Vendor ID, mhh, ok.
The links u gave point to another ROM.
Erm, isnt that easy to understand...
Of course I'll upload as soon I get permission in the upload folder :\
As far as i understand the previous threads:
-Download the mentioned Rom with the NoVendorID Update Utility.
- then take your Rom you want to flash on your unit
- Proceed as described in the threads
Check www.phm.lu for a Registry editor on your device
You could upload to www.rapidshare.de ,then i would also try to upload to the ftp
Uploading it to radpidshare right now, will post link when done.
Mhh, so I downloaded that noVendor ID.
do I have to replace that nk.nbf? (extract it somehow from the exe installer I have?) or do I have to flash it twice?
1) with the noVendor rom
2) with my Qtek rom
sorry, i'm confused )
I would say (though i haven't done that before as i was also searching for the right rom) Unzip the novendorid rom and replace the .nbf file with the german qtek file.
At least worth a try
Mhh, there is the ROM:
http://rapidshare.de/files/34895878/GER_RUU_Prophet_215742_2157131_023021_QTEK.exe.html
Mhh, I'm wondering how to extract the .exe to get the *.nbf
Mhh....
If you have/want addme to msn: [email protected]
=)
Open the File with Winrar. You should be able to extract the files.
I do not use msn, sorry
BTW: Thank you for the ROM !
rom
ftp://xda:[email protected]_RUU_Prophet_215742_2157131_023021_QTEK.exe
the rom was already uploaded.
I know
It is the Rom Purp uploaded to rapidshare before.
