Extended ROM for one (Austria) - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 Software Upgrading

I am looking for an Extended ROM of the Austrian provider "one".
I am using a used T-Mobile MDA compact with my one SIM, but I would be really interested if one is providing some additional applications...
Thanks in advance

Will have an T-Mobile MDA Compact tomorrow... need advice...

I'll hopefully have an MDA Compact tomorrow and I'm wondering if changing the ROM to the i-mate sim free one will be worthwhile\necessary?
I'm going to be using it on o2 UK and would like to be able to set things like GPRS up easily etc.
I've searched on here for a specific post about swapping roms but there's too many and I can't find one that gives a simple step-by-step guide... is there a way of doing it with just a few clicks... like an upgrade would be?
Good luck in finding the right Rom. BTW, doesn't the phone already come unlocked in the UK. I bought my MDA compact in Germany and flashed it to English and haven't had any problems.
I take it the ROMs aren't so easy to come across then?
To be honest, I now have it and it's fine... pretty much sim free anyhow.

What Magician Model should I use?

I had a O2 mini which i transformmed into the T-Mobile 1.13 , but I wonder what does the T-Mobile 1.13 have that the O2 Mini 1.03 didnt have? Or what did the o2 Mini 1.03 have that T-Mobile doesnt have? I really want to know which other model/brands are better or offer better "extra" Rom tools that make the Magician powerful. Suggestions and why YOUR Brand makes the cake?
First of all, your subject is deceiving because you are actually asking about the ROM versions and not a specific Magician model.
I guess you know that the Magician is resold/rebranded as Qtek, iMate, T-mobile, O2, Orange, etc. The rebranded units whether from Qtek, iMate, etc. are all exactly the same, because they are all made by HTC.
The ROM is composed of two parts. The main ROM and the Extended ROM. The main ROM for any version (i.e. WWE 1.13) is standard to any brand. The Extended ROM however is brand specific. Each brand/provider like O2, T-mobile, Orange put some programs in the Extended ROM to automatically configure the unit based on the brand/provider's requirements. An example would be GPRS, MMS configurations.
The best is to restructure your ROM by using Big Storage. Install the latest ROM (ver 1.13) then you can select what Extended ROM programs you want from what ever brand/provider.
But... when I upgrade my Magican to Qtek, I have some problem.
My Camera don't work anymore, and the speaker sometime is work, sometime is mute! How about it?
And, can you show me what this mean.
I found a lot ROM shiped but I don't kwon which one is O2, Qtek, Imate...
MA_TMUK_11300_128_11200_Ship.exe
o2asia_11100_922_11100_ship.exe
WWE_11100_550_11100
Can you show me what is the number in the middle 128 or 992 or 550 means?

What's the best NEW ROM for U.S. Imate Jam

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on the best ROM to use for those of us in the USA. I am personally using ATT/Cingular and have a ROM loaded that the GPRS doesn't work and the txt messaging is pretty shotty.
Or is anyone using a specific ROM in the United States that has worked well for them?

The bottom of the page will have a direct link to the latest official ROM for the i-mate JAM 850MHz. It's the one added by me, and it has the USA flag next to it.
nice. thankyou

Htc Fuze Unlock From At&t (usa) To Work In Europe

Hello everyone,
I am new to the phone tweaking world while I am an IT technician, I going to visit friends in the U.S and I am planning to buy an AT&T HTC FUZE.
As some of you probably know the prices in Europe are kind of outrageous so I want to buy it from there.
My question to anyone who can help is whether I can flash the AT&T software and put the native HTC on, or at least do something for the software that can make it fully function with my network (Cosmote) in Greece.
Thank you in advance for the help,
Yes assuming ur willing to buy the phone full price and then have a friend with ATT get the unlock code for you, or buy an unlock code. You do not need to reflash the radio because the Fuze has quadband EDGE and triband HSDPA unlike the European Touch Pro. You can however flash a custom ROM which will work with your carrier. (The stock ROM will work too but in my opinion, the ATT one is slow)
The fuze is the htc touch pro aka diamond which is what you will find it under in the forum
here is a link to the rom section if you are interested in flashing a new rom

but before flashing you may want to check here ...it a guide to flashing your first rom

EDIT- you may also want to sim unlock if you are going on a different network.....
here is more info on that

Searching for German CDMA ROM for Touch Pro2 (formerly Verizon)

I have long searched all fora and have not found much, so please excuse my new post ...
I moved back to Germany with a HTC Touch Pro2 branded by Verizon. However I am no longer Verizon Wireless customer.
I would like a German ROM on my handset, possible a WM6.5-based ROM and, of course, it needs to be CDMA radio compatible as I read in most of the posts that a GSM ROM would wreck my device.
At present there is still the newest WM6.5 ROM from Verizon (3.04.605.3) flashed on it, but the radio (2.32.00WU) is already Security and SIM unlocked (I applied Hard-SPL).
Does anyone know a CDMA-based ROM in German?
Thanks,
Mat Fred
Is you reasoning for a German ROM purely language?
I think you can use any CDMA ROM and just use an international SIM card.
there isn't a german cdma rom
Yes, my main reason for a change to a German CMA ROM is language as it is kinda enoying to get english spelling hints when texting for example.
But also I would like to get rid of the Verizon branding since I am not using it anymore.
-Thanks

We are CDMA, so all of those GSM world ROMs CANNOT be used. Using a world GSM ROM could potentially brick your device
You will want to check out all the custom ROMs over at PPC geeks...some might even have a german language pack:
