Hi,
I've already tried to change at the settings, but when someone calls me the S100 keeps on playing the windows default wma.
When I change the ring tone for a specific contact (in caller ID) it works, but I don't want to change the ring tone individualy for 300 contacts.
The only thing I did to the registry was to change HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring\Directory
From Windows\rings to \Storage\My Documents\rings
I've already tried to change the HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring\DefaultTone but the result was that the S100 stopped ringging and vibrating.
I've also installed the MortRing to try and fix the problem but it doesn't work.
Any ideas? I hate to have a cell phone with that tone!!!!
Thank you,
Pedro
I have a Cingular 8125 (Wizard). I can't figure out how to assign different ringtones to people, to know who is calling by the ring. Is it possible on these devices?
Certainly is possible
Go into contacts, click the contact you want to assign the ringtone to, click the menu softkey then edit.
The 12th field down should be ringtone
For the ringtones to show up in the dropdown box your ringtones should either be stored in the root of the storage card or in \windows\rings.
The only trouble with putting them on the SD card (applys to storing on the device too, but much more noticable when stored on SD card) is that if its a big file then it sometimes takes quite a while for the phone to start ringing
Ringing
Thank you very much. I kept trying to find it through phone settings, didn't think about contacts.
You can also assign a picture to the caller via the Contacts, and the picture will appear when they call.
Can anyone tell me how to turn off the call waiting beep tone?
I've tried the services tab area of the phone settings where you can select for call waiting not to notify, but it keeps setting itself back to notify. Could be some autoconfiguration with ATT network?
I'm not sure if the beep tone comes from ATT or if the phone plays the callwait.mid file in the windows directory.
I've thought that if I could just delete the callwait.mid file or rename it, I would be in business but it seems to be a protected system file
Thanks for any help!!!
So I guess the callwait.mid and callwait.wav files are built into the ROM.....
Surely someone has posted something on removing files from the ROM, I just can't find it.....
thanks in advance for help!
I have a htc diamond, but i cant see bluetooth sender name when i receive a file by my bluetooth. how i can set "IDS_MAIN" ? i can't see it in my cell. anyone can help me?
hi there all - my phone is the ZTE blade with SS5 rom.
i currently use the inbuilt call recording feature (pressing 'menu' once call connected, press record on the pop-up menu)
recording are currently saved on the root of the sdcard with a file name voicerecordingXXXXX.amr (Xs are digits)
I would like the file name to include time stamp caller number and if possible save it to a dedicated folder on the card rather than root but i cant find a way of changing the settings. can anyone help please?
