Problem saving photos from camera

When I select my SD card as storage in camera settings and take a photo sometimes the photograph appears as damage and wont open. At first I thought it’s the fault of the memory card and selected phone memory instead but the problem still appears. After a soft reset its working again but not for long. Does anyone know a reason for this? Is this related to a software I have installed? Please help. I am using a 2GB sundisk card.
Hello
I speak very little English. I will still try (thanks google!):
I had this problem after installing CorePlayer.
Format Photo unrecognized!
-- I uninstalled CorePlayer and do a Soft Reset
-- I reinstalled CorePlayer and do a Soft Reset.
Everything is perfect now. The format is recognized photos.
I do not know if it can help you. Good luck
Sincerely
Jpm78
I have the same problem than savvase, one of my pics can't open with a warning message (unable to open this type of jpeg file)
any help will be appreciated

HELP! ringtones not working on TP2

the sounds on my TP2 come out fine, but when someone calls i don't hear my ringtones... no files work, not .wav, .mp3, .wma... need advice, trying to avoid a hard reset, which would be a last chance guess anyways
can anyone give advice? thanks
I know if the phone is connected to the computer via "disk drive" and your ringtones are off your SD card, it will not play the ringtones as the SD card shows as missing on the phone when connected by that method.
other wise, any sound problems I've had due to programs messing up the OS I just hard reseted. most of the stuff I have installed or need backed up is on my sd card, so loading everything is not a problem since there is way less workload compared to formatting a computer.
Maybe you have your ring volume down all of the way but your system volume up?
Go to sounds and notifications to set your ringtone and see if you have the ring type on just vibrate or something? Just mess around with the settings until you can get it to work.

you had better put sound files in internal rom, you can put ringtones for call, message or email in my document, but ringtones for alarm only support wav file
if you put ringtones in storage card, something may happend that ringtone would not work
my apologies to u all for the delayed reponse... it appears to be the now infamous "Ring Tone Error" message, that states all my files are corrupt... nothing to do with the volume itself... any advice? i've been googling for a workaround, as opposed to a hard reset, but my patience is wearing thin on this issue
thanks guys

SD Card freezing phone

Hi guys,
I am having a problem with my phone, i've researched everywhere but it seems that no one is experiencing the issue as me, or at least I couldnt find anybody.
The thing is that one day after syncing my phone, when I unmounted the sd card(in the correct way) and I inserted it in the phone, the phone started to freeze everytime I locked it, once I locked the phone it became unresponsie, everytime. I can turn on the display but it doesnt respond to touch, the digital buttons either. However, if I get a notification it does show up in the display, so the phone its not dead.
This behavior happens with every card I have, ive tried with 3 different cards and everytime I sync them to my mac my phone responds this way.
I did a factory reset, I wiped everything and installed different roms but the issue remains. I also formatted the cards several times.
For the phone to work correctly it has to be card-free or with a sd card that has never synced with my computer.
I uploaded a video to make the problem more understandable, Im really desperate so any help will be greatly appreciated,
thank you!!
Edit; Sorry, I dont know why the youtube thumbnail doesnt show up here,

If the issue only happen AFTER you sync it to your PC that would make me think to look at what files you are syncing and how you are doing it. What are you loading on to your sd card? What class is your SD card as I have seen cards with a class less then 4 can cause issues.
Yes I thought of that, im just syncing music, and its the exact playlist i've been syncing before with this phone. I did a virus scan and nothing. Maybe a file suddenly became corrupted, but there is no warning about that..
I've tried with class 6, class 4 and class 2, all with the same problems..
I forgot to clarify that yesterday I synced the same files and for a while everything worked perfectly, I was able to play my music, etc. But all of a sudden I opened the camera app and the phone freezed, It did this everytime until I removed the card...
I appreciate your help, thanks

Sounds like maybe the virus scan is not detecting it. Are you syncing it while the card is in the phone? I would try that with blocks of music until the problem pops up and then you can slim it down from there
zelendel, thanks for your help, I did try those things and the problem remains.
However after trying different things I discovered that the files are not the problem because I synced all my music wirelessly and everything worked perfectly. Until I connected my phone to my mac without syncing and unmounted the sd-card.
My guess is that there is a problem with the mount-unmount mechanism, it may be a hardware issue I dont know. Its weird, because once I unmount, the sd-card prepares and the phone identifies it, but after that I cant open any music application, camera, etc and once I lock and try to unlock the phone, it freezes as I stated before.. Im lost
What do you think? any ideas?
thanks again!
Same Thing here in Xperia mini St15i Please Helpppppp?!
bump. come on, no one? i cant run aosp roms because of this.

Sorry, something that is confusing....if you are unmounting your sdcard then that is why that you cannot open files..it is unmounted. What happens when u pull your sdcard out? unmount it from settings>storage and see how the phone behaves....if works smoothly then it might be a slot issue....
If your phone rooted?
Its stock rom? Hace u ever do something to ir? Probably its hardware problem.

Hello fellas
Same problem experienced here on two different Huwawei android phones -> sonic and ideos..gingerbread and froyo respectively.
Everytime the phones do sdcard I/O opps, all UI elements become unresponsive but bg tasks run coz they ring during incoming calls and texts.
The sdcard is the same...a 4gb kingston.
I know the sdcard works well because i've tested it more than once using H2testw 1.4 ....no flaws reported at all!
The card also works flawlessly on my nokia E63.
Does anyone have a fix for this?
sd card error ... guess so.
Hey there am too experiencing the same prob . When i insert the sd card class 2 the phone freezes , and becomes unresponsive until i remove the card ... Since dis post is about 2 yr old so guess there might b some solution to dis prob ... .... thankzz in advance

Ringtones keep reverting.

I have ran
Slimbean
Liquid smooth
Carbon
Root box
All of them I have issues with the ringtones reverting back to default after I change them. Anyone else having issues or know of what I can try to fix it?
So no one else is having issues like this?
I might have found the problem... I think I might have found the issue. I store my ring tonnes on SD card. I moved them to the internal storage..... let s see if that fixes the issue.
I have my ringtones on the SD card and they work fine.
So far so good. For me.. I never had this issue until recently...
Spoke to soon... Just had it reset.....

I've had this problem once and a while due to storing the ringtone on the SD card (at least that was my assumption as to the cause). Pretty sure what's happening is that it's taking the phone longer to verify the SD card (or whatever it does during bootup) and extends past the time during which the ringtone is loaded. Since the SD card hasn't finished loading, the ringtone can't be found.
I wonder if faster sd cards would solve the problem (don't have any others to try or I would check this out) . . .
This time I found the culprit.. I had a audiomanager app that kept getting installed via titanium backup. After removing the app it has stayed.

its a bug rmove and insert the sd card or connect to pc in mass storage mode then switch to file transfer(mtp) mode.
Above methods always fix this issue for me

removing and inserting didn't worked for me, but hope that this second method will work. I'll try it and let you know!
none of those methods work.. i'll format that sd card, hope it'll work
I have this problem too and nothing seems to help. 3 different brand cards, one brand new. did chckdsk with no errors, formatted to exFAT.... but i still get "now safe to remove" and "preparing sd card" one after the other all the time
