Is it possible to flash the ROM from a SD card? Or, is it a musto flash the ROM through Activesync?

When installing a custom ROM do you have to have a SD card? I just got the phone and want to go to the de-bloated stock version, but I don't have a micro SD card.
No there is an internal 16gb sd card.... in cwm recovery you can flaah roms from the internal or external card
Its always good to have one to store roms and other files you don't want accidentally deleted from flashing roms. But technically I don't think you need one.

Just confirmed - you don't need a seperate sd card.
When I flash a Rom, are the Rom files stored on the SD card or the phone's internal memory? If I format my SD card, will I be able to load my current Rom or do I have to reflash the Rom?

ROM files are found in the internal STORAGE. If you wipe it from recovery, you need to reflash. But if you wipe your internal SD it will still work I think. But you just lost a whole bunch of data.

Hi guys.
I have a 4 gigabyte sd card and I have installed cynogenmod7 on it. I have no back up from stock rom. Now I've decided to change my sd card to have more capacity. My questions are:
1. Does a 16 gigabyte sd card(class 10) work smooth on P500?
2. Since my custom rom is installed on sdcard it means if I change sdcard I no longer have any rom installed on my device. I want too root my device and reinstall cm7 again but just on a new sdcard. What should I do now?

I have a 16gb card and it works great.
If you have a rom installed to your sd card, it will be gone when you change sd cards. You'll have to put in the new card and set the rom up again. Just do what you did to get the rom on your first sd card, but do it on the new card.
