following a hard reset on my M500, whenever i send a message it gets delivered twice. I read about de-selecting the "send as unicode" item but it still happens
does anyone have any ideas whats going on? quite annoyiong not to mention potentially expensive :-(
try not to close immediatelly the message screen when you send the sms. wait till you receive: message sent.

seems it is related to having Pocket Plus installed. added:
instmsgr.exe
tmail.exe
poutlook.exe
to the exceptions tab on the close button section of Pocket plus and problem ok'd. (same result - just doesn't rely on me remembering not to close message center)

Does anyone face this problem? We still can view sms from home screen menu. But cant reply the sms, reply menu wont load. So do open sms inbox or email. Need to soft reset to sattle this.

do u have ce-star installed? if so that is your problem...try uninstall and the problem should go away...! cheers!

I have a 100% bone stock AT&T Fuze that recently developed this exact problem. It's receiving SMS & email, and you can preview new ones through Manila/home screen, but pressing INBOX gets you nothing. It registers the touch, but the actual messaging app doesn't load. You can't load it from home, via the start menu, or the programs menu. Resetting the phone fixes the problem for a while, then it breaks again...
Any ideas? It's VERY frustrating since it happens several times a day. I can call AT&T, but they're pretty much useless.

card encryption ok u have to remove check.. bcoz there iz automatic lock your messages.. i hope your messages will be appear

Again, I searched for about 30 minutes before posting this.. in both diamond and touch pro forums and all over here.. I figure this is a common issue, but still found nothing. Maybe I'm a bad searcher... (Sorry)
I get a ring sound, but no visual notification of texts or emails.
Is there anyway to make touchflo3D or something show the actual text message or email pop up when received?
I'm sure there's a small notification icon somewhere, but I can't see it... And even if I could.. I'd rather the message just pop up anyway.

You need to go to Start>settings>sounds & notifications>Notifications Tab>Event>Messaging: New text message> then click the "display message on screen" box.
Hope this is what you were looking for.
EDIT: Repeat same cycle for email notifications.

okay im having a problem with that. I've done that several times and it works for several minutes then my on screen notification stops showing up and the setting is unchecked. Im not sure if its becuase i receive a txt msg while using an app or w/e but i have 2 go through that setting like 5x a day...its gettin annoying!!! any ideas??
Having same problem here. The "display on screen" box keeps becoming unchecked on its own. Does anyone have any idea/solution to this? I recently took my phone back to O2 to upgrade to the latest firmware, and it's still happening. I'm pretty sure it happened with the previous firmware as well.

I noticed that a long time ago too and don't have the solution.
But it seems to me that the option gets unchecked automatically only when you are doing some specifics things wth your device. Otherwise it remains checked and works properly.
For example having the option checked, open some of your usual applications and send yourself an sms (my carrier allows me to send myself an sms through their webpage ) and you 'll see that sms pops up with some of them and not with others.
Luckyly the most recent version of windows mobile (the one with the thick bottom bar) has a new notification method, so when you touch the taskbar, an amplified version of that taskbar rolls out, and there you 've a "message icon". You touch that icon and it drives you directly to the pOutlook app and shows you the message. That's Cool!

I just got an HTC Fuze yesterday with AT&T and I haven't flashed it yet but I was wondering if this was a 'problem' with this Raphael phone in general.
The problem I am having is that when in TF3D and I scroll to text messages, I see 6/6 for text messages that I have received. However, when I click on the "All Messages" tab on the bottom left, it brings me to Inbox where I only see 1 Conversation with just one recipient (the one I have replied to). The other 5 messages are nowhere to be found in there unless i get back out to the TF3D main message.
It is even worse when I slide out the keyboard to enter the other mode. I can't see any of the 6 messages in my Inbox. Is this a bug or something wrong with my settings? Are the rest of you guys able to see ALL of your text messages when you guys are in your Inbox?
Can you please let me know if this is working as intended? Or if I have a faulty phone?
Surely someone can just state whether or not they can see all their text messages when they click on "All Messages" on the Messages tab on their phone....

It should be thatyou see every single message (sent and recieved) in your all messages view. Your situation is strange, unfortunately I can't tell you what to do. You might wanna try a hard reset, but beaware that it will erase all your data.

I had the same exact issue when my friend told me to install this Diamond Tweak program. It has a lot of tweaks in it that I want but it has screwed up my texting so I can't afford that. A fix for this would be awesome if someone knows what's going on.

When I type an sms message (mainly in landscape mode)often happen that I press SEND instead of shif/space.Is there a cab or registry setting for this, if i want at least to get a question, am i sure i want to send it?Or other sollution idea?
Second:
If I send an sms i always get the delvivery report in a separated sms.
Is there any way to "attach" this information to the sms i sent, and not see always that delivery sms?Just get info if i check it?
In my old SE K300i I never had to delete the delivery sms' because they were not separeted, just i could check the sms status.

you can add a send button in the message using the BsB tweaks.

Yes this is annoying coupled with the lack of Sent notification!
"send button" just means you accidentally send a sms when i type " P " or something. left softkey send is actually safer in portrait mode since there are arrow keys above it.
is there any way to display a "send message?" confirmation dialog?
i'm sure there isn't any tweak for that right now?
I saw a soft that need a slide to send named Slide2Send.
But it's only a beta.
I'm sure it could solve the problem.
any1 got any more on this? especially changing the delivery notification sound with out changing the sms tone. I like the idea of the slide to send but so far for me the htc messaging is fine except for the placement of the send button just a confirmation pop up box would be spot on.

i have a problem that seems to have developed over last few weeks, when i recieve a message and reply it buts the reply above the incoming message in the history, anyone know ehat i have done ??
eg msg comes in

my reply : great
however on phone it would read
my reply : great

it only happens to that reply so the whole thread can be full of back to front replys
I've noticed that to.
It seems to my that it happens when you reply to the message in the same minute that your received it.
The phone just keeps the hour and minute, so if you reply in the same minute it gives priority to you message, and then it shows your before the message from the other contact.
