PC Email and PDA remotely accessed email not syncing - General Topics

Hi all
I can sync my PDA with my PC so that I can view my emails on my PDA but when I then remotely access my email on my PDA it stores the messages in a seperate folder and doesn't sync them back with the PC.
This results in my PDA having all the email on it (although in 2 seperate boxes) and only the email that I received via my PC actually on my PC...nothing remotely received via the PDA is sync'd accross.
Am I doing something wrong is this a known issue?
Cheers
Wayne

Emails on the server are deleted !!

Hi all,
I use my wizard to get emails from a pop server. But I also use my PC to get the emails. I have already set on my PC, so that the copy of the emails are left on the server for 3 months. How can I set such a configuration on the Pocket PC ? Because if i received the email on my ppc and than deleted, the emails on the server will also be deleted, so that I can't get the emails on my PC anymore.

question about outlook and synchro.

hello.
I have one email acount.
I want to be able get emails by PC and Pocket with gprs and after conecting pocket to pc , synchro emails.
Now I can configure email on PC and when I connect pocket to PC, e-mails, are copied to Pocket, to "outlook mail" folder. It looks like automaticaly there is created acount called "outlook mail" in pocket, but I cant configure it to be able get emails also with gprs. This "account" - "outlook mail" is not visible in pocket's configuration tab.
In pocket, I can create a new acount and configure pop3 and smtp for the same email with a name for eg "xxx". But now, when I check email with pocket, everything jumps into "xxx" folder. But if I get email with PC and synchro with Pocket, emails go to "outlook folder".
So, the same e-email, but two folders in pocket PC.
How to configure both to use ONE the same folder (emails got by PC, and got by pocket with gprs)

Contacts sync with another phone?

Is there any way of sending ALL contacts to another phone via bluetooth? Unfortunately outlook isn't an option for me (only have that via work, and the corporate policy doesn't allow connection of personal phones).
On (some) other phones you can select all contacts and send via bluetooth - I can't find any similar option on my Touch Dual.
Any suggestions?
well there are programs which sync with windows live as in hotmail and with gmail too
or you can sync with a home pc with outlook and activesync
or use a backup program

Ok, when u first synced email, contacts etc, was it via active sync or through the exchange?
Have you configured ithe server options in the active sync settings to download when they arrive?
Also other option, have you configured how many days email to download in active sync/folders?
Try those for now, is usally one of them.
Also, check that the messages aren't archived for some reason.

I connect via ActiveSync. No Exchange Server. I have not set up any server so there are no server options appliable.
I set to sync "ALL MAILS"
No change. Only messages coming to my outlook while I am connected on AS will appear on my PPC as well.
I tried to uncheck the "Archive" one folder. But it won't sync either.
So, thats not the solution

mmmm.... most strange.... i assume urusing an sd card to store attachmetants? check down load size of attchments. i assume no eroor on active sync screen on connect? active ayncs options are configfure to sync when connected? describe wot happens when u plug in the usb to ur PPC?
OK I got it.
It was simply the configuration in WinMobile-Center Application on WIN VISTA that I had to configure to sync ALL MESSAGES no matter what size and date AND hat to mark all mail folders.
Done, working
great

Setup/Syncronize Email WM6/PC

Hello,
I'm having some troubles understanding how email process in WM6.
I have a POP3 account for business mail, and i access it from 3 different places (Work, Home and PDA). All three work fine and without problems, but not sync'd.
I noticed that everytime i send an email at work, it will not be seen in PDA neither at home. If i send the email at home, it won't be seen at PDA neither at work.
I was exploring the WM6 sync stuff and i got confused....
I managed to sync the mail using Windows Mobile Device Center and all mail from PC was sync'd with the PDA, but i noticed also that if i try to send an email from PDA, it won't get out of the outbox until i connect my USB cable to the PC (stupid thing).
Is there any way of having my email sync'd?
Maybe some IMAP account or something else? I think it won't be possible with a standard POP3 account.
Thank you for any help.
You're right, IMAP is the only protocol that syncs mail.
You could try forwarding all your POP3 mail to a GMail account and then set GMail to send mail using your POP3 email.
