what does "Watch this topic for replies" do on thi

what does "Watch this topic for replies" do on this website (which can be found at the bottom of a post)? i thought it makes a list somewhere in my login account or somehow alerts me so i can more easily trace the ones i'm interested in piled up in those millions and millions of posts. can somebody pls explain, thanks?
No it doesn't make a list somewhere but send you a mail when a new message is posted in a thread.
well, that's strange then, cos i've never received any notifications by email when there's a new reply (whether it's my own topics or ones i want to watch). i've just re-checked my "profile" and my email addrs is correct, and that all the notifications were "yes" (as attached). and every time i post, "Notify me when a reply is posted" is also ticked. is there another setting somewhere?
That's odd. I usually get duplicate notification (2 messages per update) but only for the last topic I posted to. I don't think they save a list, just one topic per user.
Works ok for me
I watch about 15 topics & receive an email after each post. Although it would be nice to see all sucscribed topics in a list.
so wot am i doing wrong?? can anyone see anything suspicious in my profile settings?
Your profile settings look ok. Does your email account have some kind of spam filter? It is possible that the messages get blocked for some reason by the mail server. You should try a different email (there are plenty of free ones out there)
oh my gosh... I changed from a hotmail to another email addrs...and it's working, thanks a million. It must have been the hotmail spam filter.

Outlook Custom forms... extremely strange!

I didn't know exactly where to post this so I'm doing it here, hoping that it won't get buried away unanswered.
And I did search, both this forum and the web. No love...
I have a Kaiser (ATT Tilt w/WM6 firmware) unlocked and running on Tmobile. It's activesyncing with our Exchange server.
Often I receive Outlook custom forms. They are created by someone in the office and generally no input is needed from my part. In Outlook I get the macro warning, no biggie. So I generally don't open them in my Kaiser. But a few days ago I opened one... and to my horror I saw that the body of the form was an email thread me and a few others had about putting together a ski trip in Tahoe, and of course the conversation had gotten sidetracked. Suffice it to say a rental house with a hot tub was mentioned... So I am seeing this very email in my Kaiser and the distribution list is the same one as for the Outlook forms. I freaked out for a little then I ran to my computer. Outlook displayed the form as it should. Then I ran towards the office of our Exchange admin. He couldn't give me an answer... but he assured me that if this is happening in my mobile only then I need not worry because Outlook sees it just fine. So I forgot about it.
Until today...
When I got another one... same occurrence, different content on body. This wasn't too crazy... just invitations to happy hour on a Friday at about 5 PM.
But I noticed a strange pattern.
The email containing the custom form was the latest I had received. The next email didn't come for at least 15 minutes. During this time I was looking around the body of the email and took note of the sent/received times between the different replies. I exited out of it and by mistake my fingers hit the cursor button one too many times so I ended up in the very last email stored in my Kaiser. Well... I noticed the time. It was a few minutes later than the strange one. I checked some other similar emails and the result was the same.
But not too long ago it used to not even show anything in the body of these custom form emails... just a blank one.
So it seems that when a custom form is sent from Outlook, either/or can happen. A blank email body or the body of the last email listed in your Pocket Outlook.
Ideally of course I'd like it to show the custom forms... but that's not going to happen.
I guess what I'm looking for is people to tell me they've seen this before and I'm not crazy

Mark email as read from TF3D Preview?

I hate that most of my emails are general 2 paragraph emails, and I can read the whole email in the preview, yet I have to load outlook for it to say I already read it.
There needs to be an icon or a menu option to mark a previewed email as read right from the Touch Flow interface, that way you don't have to open outlook at all.
I searched on this site and found no answers, just other threads with the same questions: (Edit: Won't let me post links )
showthread.php?t=581344
showthread.php?t=584573
So there is definitely a demand for this, hopefully another thread will spark interest in someone developing it or a little known about cab.
Moved as not software release.

Merging SMS treads (Facebook)

So, I was going to post here the other day about merging SMS treads, but never got around to it.
I get all my Facebook notifications sent to me via SMS because it seems faster than the Android Facebook app. Well, Facebook uses that annoying long number for every SMS they send.
It was starting to fill my inbox and it was driving me nuts. I figured out that if you save each number in the same contact under the same type (ie. Mobile, Home, etc.) it will automatically merge the threads into one and save room in the messages folder without looking cluttered.
So, each time Facebook sends a message, just add it to the same contact as the rest. Eventually, you will no longer have to do this because the numbers start to recycle themselves.
I hope this helps someone because I spent hours upon hours upon days searching for a solution and could not for the life of me figure out how to do this. So, hope this adds to the great amount of information that XDA has.

email question

in this video, minute 1:24, what double arrows means ??
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_1Q-0N7Xsk
it goes:
reply, ..... , forward, move to, delete
cuz i had some troubles sending emails, and other side not receiving it... :/
Two arrows is "Reply to All" its quite useful if you send some emails to more then 1 person and need to follow up with all participants
