Raphael on o2 payg

i tried out hsdpa/3g for the first time last night by turning on data connection in comms manager .. but all i got was errors when dialing? do i need to input anything in the proxy/modem connection settings?

just rang o2 who said the HTC phones likewise blackberry phones are not compatible with O2 payg for internet servies :S i asked why they were then find for contract but was told that there are difference settings for payg/contracts which will only work with the appropriate sim. ... what can I do now? Is this going to be the same for all network's payg options?
please help ... anyone who is on a payg contract wth a sim free raphael or with any other suggestions.

thats a lot of rubbish!
go to settings >connections> ad new connection
use payandgo.o2.co.uk (or payasyougo.o2.co.uk dont remember) as acces point, payandgo as user password as paswword . thats it. if it doesnt connect use 193.113.200.195:8080 as proxy

i have to say that i've got terrible connection with o2 3g! keeps catting connection to the net (not actual connection) you have to disconnect anc connect again. i dont know if it is network or phone

gprs at Dominican Republic with german sim card

one question:
i need a trick, how i can used gprs with a german sim card at the Dominican Republic.
the problem is, when i used the german internet settings, its high priced
so i need help how i can used the internet via gprs cheaply
anyone have a idea?

get a pay pr use sim in dominican r and put in it's gprs settings

if you have a HTC phone, run connection settings and it will upload the settings to Orange Dominicana, one of the carriers there. then get a prepaid sim.

Setting Galaxy S' region to XSG / Scared to loose APN for Vodafone

Hey guys , i don't have the android market installed but it can be installed if i change region to XSG ( international ) anyways i heard it resets your phone and I GUESS you loose your APN , i use Vodafone.eg ( vodafone egypt ) i called customer service but they said they can't find the right settings for the galaxy S , as it hasn't been released officially here, any suggestions ?? iam doing saftey measures before to NOT end up with a phone without network lol

Hi I know this is kinda late but if u still have the problem pls follow the steps:
1- you go to:
setting - wireless & networks - mobile network settings - access point names.
2-press the menu button - new APN
3- Fill only the given fields and leave the rest blank:
Name: Click Vodafone
APN: internet.vodafone.net
User name: internet
Password: internet
4- save and you're done !
Customer service people don't know anything. I went to mobinil with my GalaxyS for the same issue and they couldn't help me, later i solved it by myself.

i change region to XSG
i called vodafone egypt customer service & i tried
new APN
Name: Click Vodafone
APN: internet.vodafone.net
User name: internet
Password: internet
but no way still no 3g no vedio call no net
i am not sure root will help

[Q] Android 2.2 3G is unstable

Hi every one,
I'm trying to setup the APN of my provider (Orange in Tunisia) I have an HTC magic with official 2.2 froyo (non rooted) the customer service made a setup on the phone so they did this :
NAME : weborange
APN : weborange
thats all, all other settings was blank, the 3G icon choed up for an hour and then gone forver, the only way for me to get internet back is to force use 2G only setting. I'm unable tu get 3G back ... is this my phone or the network ? (on my Iphone with the same simcard the 3G works well). I dont have any freinds in tunisia that have Android with this provider to copy his setting :/
any idea ?

My problem is: i am a dutch guy with a contract with Vodafone NL. I work in Holland but live in germany, everyday i cross the border from holland to germany. In holland everything is working fine, but when i cross the border in germany to go home, no connection avaible, even search avaible networks, vodafone De is found, but i cant make a connection. no service
Anyone an idea what to do.

have you tried to talk with your mobile operator ?
they have an option to unlock your sim so he will work only to the home country.
second thing i can think of is enable roaming at network settings
