For a start, you might want to post this in the correct forum, and if you had, you would have noticed MANY posts that there is no WM2005 currently available for the HTC Magician.

I asked the mods to create a sticky for the Blue Angel not getting Windows Mobile 5.0, perhaps we should just do the same for Magician!

Guys, for your information all of you, 127.0.0.1 it is any PC IP address, when it is not connected to the internet, but when you came connected your PC IP Address is going to be changed to the internet IP address

It seems something is missing in the "hx2000" folder. Possibly, "E1_Upgrade_ROM_v1_00_00_L_SIGNED.nbf" is not comlete, cause I've got an error occured. Could somebody place the full version of that file?

I've upgraded my iPaq Hx2410 with the rom posted in the first post of this thread.
Everything went ok, but I don't really like WM5 (slow on my 2410, most of the softs I use are not compatible (mainly those on the today screen), etc ...).
So now I want to downgrade to WM2003se.
But when I try to flash my ipaq with a rom found on the HP support (the last english rom available : http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/HandheldiPAQ/us/locate/1120_6141.html, the flash begin correctly on the PC, then on my iPaq appears a message : "Digital sign not found", and the process stop after that.
Did someone have a solution or a hint to help me ? (I don't really want to be stuck with WM5, and want to retrieve my fast PPC under 2003se :S

I think that WM5 is really unusable on a Hx2410. This machine is really too slow and isn't reactive under wm5 and was quite unusable for me, although it's speedy under 2003se

Don't use these ROMS on your Magician. You'll definately 'brick' it.
Prophet ROMs, will work on a Charmer, but will 'brick' your Magician (different addressible registers).
