Damn... why aren't you in Europe?
But how about disclosing information about how you did it? That'd be real nice and might inspire others (maybe in Germany ).

Woo! It was $200 before. It is a good deal but I don't see the need to have it after we got the BigStorage hack.

@jackleung: But having more RAM is definately different compared to just having more storage. That'd be achieved by buying a bigger SD card easily. More RAM is much more desirable than more storage, although unlike harder.

128Mb is a dream, the storage is not useful as the ram, can be of 1Gb, but is so slow and is not possible to use it as RAM.... Is possible to send a S100 from Italy?

It's not done by me The service is provided by a Hong Kong local company (with warranty) and it also provides other PDA upgrade services (eg. high capacity battery, repair, etc)
You are in Europe, how about coming to Hong Kong for a tour? Hong Kong is actually a very good place to travel hehe... (Oh...Disneyland grand opens in Sept )

If you take care of my accommodation and show me around I'll be there

T-Mobile MDA Compact Selling at US$510 in Hong Kong
I have just bought a unit at HK$3980 (US$510) as a gift to my daughter.
It is brand-new, with full packing in German, but the shop got the ROM changed to English beforehand. The unit is without official warranty in Hong Kong, but you can register it at the T-mobile website.

How long does it takes for the upgrade? I may juz travel there for the upgrade from Sgp...

Several buddies here PM me, and I just phoned the company for the answers:
- To ptan218: it takes 2 to 3 hours to do the upgrade. They provide 3-month warranty after the upgrade.
- To bono_80: Yes, you can send your PPC to them to upgrade. They will then charge you the additional postage fee on top.
- To JDH: they quote that they use the same brand of RAM (with larger capacity) as of original, and no significant increase of power consumption after the upgrade.
- To DJW: for bulk upgrade, they offer some additonal discount:
1 --- US$125
2-10 --- US$113
11-20 --- US$102
21+ --- US$88
- To Nevin, you can go directly to the shop stated in the website to do the upgrade.

...eXpansys needs about 2 weeks. As far as I know they support only the mail-in way. It is not possible to go directly to a kind of an eXpansys shop. And btw, I guess it is still cheaper than a flight to Hong Kong

Hi,
I am "MadMonkeyBoy" on HoFo,
I would like to send 11 units to be upgraded, and have them returned to me in the USA.
How do I make the arangements, and how do I insure that they will be returned?
Your help is greatly appreciatted.
If anyone else would like to send together with me, we could lower the price to $88 each, and save on shipping.
[email protected]

Hey David!, yeah, that would be cool if you cheaper upgrades, I might buy one from you with the upgraded RAM.
I sell my old JAM and get a new one!

Hi, I've just talked to the company this morning about your queries. They welcome your mail order; however, there is no mechanism for them to provide gurantee to mail order client. Some more info:
- you can send an email to [email protected] for detailed arrangement.
- upgrade fee can be settled by PayPal
- the company, Palm-Center, is the local distributor of "Palm Dragon" (Chinese Palm system), and also used to do repair and upgrade for PDAs for several years (including mail order)
- I *** do not *** have any connection with the company. I am just providing some information here for your reference. So I am not responsibile to whatever transactions the company does.
Let me know if any more help needed.

This website looks very unprofessional. In case you ever make such a risky purchase again, first ask the seller for an authentic picture of the item. Such as a photo of the item next to his business card etc. This way you know at least he has the item.

Anyone can create all that in photoshop and even add in a pic of his/her self shaking hands with HTC's CEO just for s-n-g's. Add that he keeps all his ebay feedback private so nobody can research him ... scamming dirtbag alert for sure there. Maybe he's ligit but his methods are not transparent enough for me.
Bottom line do not buy from sites thrown up just to sell one item cuz they're 99% a scam.

I agree that such a photo can easily be arranged. But it adds a simple layer of protection and is better than simply throwing away your money to the first seller you find on the internet. But, yes, I wouldn't buy a phone from this website even if he provided a photo of himself shaking hands with the CEO of HTC.

Oh please.
#1. The website is cheap. Photoshoped the diamond phone picture, and the webpage looks un-professional , etc. My "red flag" went up immediately.
#2. Looking at the feedback from ebay's. You can spot fakers posted these feed back. Even Ray Charles could see that.
Sorry to hear that someone fell for it. This is a lesson that we learned and hopefully, we will be wiser the next time.
What you should do to avoid others been scammed by this guy
- Notify the hosting provider and authorities that illegal actions are being done via that website
- Notify eBay to investigate his account, cause you can clearly see the fake posts in there

Expansys USA confirms Octa.

As per title.... I asked Expansys USA to confirm which variant they would be selling and the office manager (Caroline Philipchuck) checked with their procurement and confirmed that the units are sourced from South America and are the Octa without LTE. Again, without LTE despite what it says on their website.
Release date?
I don't have LTE in my area and wont for years so I preordered this hoping it would be the Octa as stated. This morning I got an email saying they were shipping next week and to confirm my order for immedieate shipment. Thats when I contacted them to confirm which variant. Whether it actually ships then, got no idea.
I've just ordered mine after they confirmed (by chat) it has Exynos 5 Octa.
I'm from Europe and they use FR office to serve european customers, They will receive it in USA office next week so i think it will be shipped between 5/10 days.
I'm from the UK so will I be able to purchase it from the US site? And will it charge me import fee?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app

The current status says due May 4th
Here's a helpful hint about Expansys. Their online inventory isn't real time and fluctuates madly as do the availability and shipment dates. They only work business hours Monday through Friday and aren't particularly responsive to e-mails depending on the time of day they are received. I've ordered a bunch of stuff from them and they've always been reliable (dates and time aside) and easy to work with as I had a couple of returns/exchanges. So save yourself a lot of head banging based on expected delivery; you'll get what you ordered but it's not always going to be on the timetable indicated.
Agree with Barry on them and have ordered there numberous times myself. Best to ignore their online status for anything and simply call or email. Once contact has been made they have always followed through for me. At first I thought they were kind of sketchy but they have an odd knack for pulling through despite the somewhat irregular service.
$775 though.....yeesh.

Not sure what LTA is...

Not sure what LTA stands for, maybe LTE but in a different language? lol.
I dont know why people must have the octa version. The differences in performance is not that big. And neither is the battery. Games peforms better in snapdragon chispet and In daily use of both two phones, you wont see the difference at all. What important is the LTE and dev support. Believe me, i have a s3, the dev there pull their hair off when they try to develop roms for the s3.
And trust me, you dont want to have the octa chipset, in view of dev support. All the experienced exynos developers will not support the chipset anymore. It take 2 week to develop a good aosp rom for sony experia z and it take 16! month to develop the same thing for samsung s3, and it still buggy.
So why would you still buy the exynos chipset phone?
Sorry for my bad english btw
Dont care about the performance as phones have reached a level of performance that fully satisfies me, I'm in it for the batt life. No insult to the gents working on ASOP for whom I have nothing but props but I prefer touchwiz based roms for the time being meaning support isn't a concern for me. Nor do I care about LTE since my area isn't even on my carriers road map yet. I get a new phone at the most annually but ususally sooner so I'm going to try out the Octa and see how it goes. If the better battery plays out great, if not the next thing is always coming and the Octa becomes one more phone in a long succession phones that have gone on to their next owner. The long and the short of it is I lose nothing by giving the Octa a spin so I'm going to do just that.
definitely will not buy from Negr* anymore. Recall my painful exp last yr with S3

They are absolutely fine, before and after the sale. When new devices come out their slammed because they can show availability when they don't have any and people get frustrated with the delay(s). I've never heard anyone complain that they didn't get what they ordered (at some point) or that they in any way felt ripped-off. I'd suggest calling rather than e-mailing though if you need them because at times they can be slow to respond. Like I said before I've had to do some returns and exchanges and they were really accommodating.

Until they change the price, try to send you something else, say a release date before anyone else on the planet and then when unsurprisingly the stock doesn't arrive in time tell lies. Search Negri on the sgs3 forum if you want to read a story about how to make certain a whole bunch of people will never order from then again.

This is how they make money by boosting the shipping cost. I live in China I know how much they pay the phone and I know how much it cost to ship a phone. I shipped a guitar for 40$ in Montreal from Shanghai so 99$ for a phone makes no sense.
They are local to me. I wonder how much if i picked it up and pay cash.
Will I get LTE on AT&T with this one?
Isnt it best to wait for a Korean version? Dont they support both lte and octa core?
I ordered a Korean phone before and it worked fine in the uk
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2
If the Korean Version did have octacore and support LTE it would be worth waiting for, as long as it wasn't 3-4 months down the line anyway.

I was tempted to order one myself but wanted confirmation that it was the I9500 and not the Snapdragon 600 I9505. So I sent him a message early this morning. As yet - no reply !!!
This doesn't inspire confidence in buying from him even though he has a very good seller rating. Also, as you say I can only see 1 positive feedback from someone who has purchased an S4 - yet he has sold over 1000.
I was prepared to order this morning but not now. Especially after reading your message and not getting a reply to my earlier question, I'm not sure what to do.
I hope you get yours and at least you're covered by eBays Buyer Protection should anything go wrong !!! Keep us posted.

Thanks for the update.
I contacted someone who had left positive feedback for purchasing an S4. I asked whether it was a genuine Octa I9500, you never know with alot of online retailers simply copy/pasting specs, and he confirmed that it was.
He also mentioned that the packaging was in spanish/portugese or something so looks like these might have been destined for South America maybe.
I got this reply..

Well, that sucks because you are paying $99 shipping for FedEx International Priority so even if they are really busy - they owe it to you to ship your order out in a timely fashion.
I have just placed my order - it's working out about the same as buying the Snapdragon 600 version here in the UK, as long you don't get it hit by Customs that is !!! Hopefully, I get by the weekend at the latest otherwise I won't be a happy bunny
Yeah i agree, still no notification of shipping!
For what it matters, I did in the end buy from this guy. It arrived today. It's a latin america destined 9500 with the Octa as advertised. The thing left the manufacturing line only about a week ago. No problems in terms of tracking or shipping (Intl is FedEx, inside of the FedEx box it was wrapped in a UPS wrapper). Btw: European users: it comes with a US-power adapter, so probably you should order a Note 2 charger to go with it (works flawlessly).

I ordered it Friday and it arrived yesterday (from across the globe!) but it missed the daily courier truck so I got it only today.
In the end it was worth it because my country apparently doesn't give a crap about adding VAT to inbound packets and didn't ask me to pay nothing in addition, so I actually paid no taxes at all on it, i.e. 537€. (Plus shipping)

Onda V919 Dual Boot .. who has it in stock ? Please Read ...

I have started this thread so people can post / reply to this thread when they find the Onda V919 Dual Boot in stock and ready to ship.
It looks like Chinese sellers are telling lies saying they have stock when they do not so you place an order with them.
I have spoken to Anna Fang from OKQI on Aliexpress today ( 19th Jan 2015 ) and she says no stock before 28th Jan 2015 but even then she is not sure stock will arrive.
If anyone finds a seller with this in stock ready to ship please post on this thread .. thank you
I just ordered directly from Onda... The dual boot 64gb version cost $252 including shipping and tax.
It did not state that it was a pre-order but it did not say when it would ship either. I paid via PayPal so hopefully I will have some protection.
Will keep you posted....
Hello,
I have ordered first on January 14th directly at Onda online shop, they couldn't provide a tracking number until Jan 22th so I claimed shipping via PayPal protection message.
I told them I don't want my money back(no refund), but I want my device shipped asap.
Directly after I have opened the PayPal dispute I received a message via mail directly from Onda, that my order is completed. And somehow in their web shop system there appeared a magical "refund"...
As answer to my PayPal dispute they told me they will provide tracking number in 2-3 days and that I should close the PayPal dispute.
I told them I will close the PayPal dispute as soon as I have received the tracking number.
A few hours after that Onda closed the dispute by themselves by giving me my money back, although I told them I do not want a refund/money back.
Now I placed a new order ... This throws me back in the waiting line, but with PayPal protection there should be no risk..... Let's wait and see, I have re-ordered on January 22th but didn't receive a tracking number for my second order yet.
Has anyone had more success?

Yes I already have seen this as his statement from Jan 16 is not really new, but cannot really believe what Onda writes there, as my order is still waiting to be processed and if you read the French text comment there I don't seem to be the only one...
I contacted a guy in FB with similar problems:

I just got my V919 dual boot today, there is a delay on the 64GB models, but the 32gb is now shipping from geekbuying.com where I brought mine. I had to cancel my Aliexpress order due to these stupid delays.

Just sent Onda-Tablet.com another complaint:
You are slowly getting bad press about your stock availability and delivery transparency!
Just look at these threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/onda-v919-air-3g-dual-boot-9-7-t3015933
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/onda-v919-dual-boot-stock-please-read-t3006855
Can't you just be honest to ALL your customers and tell them that you don't have it in stock by now, but that there is a preorder with estimated delivery date!?
It is frustrating if you tell all the possible customers on your website that you have stock and ready to send in 3-5 days, then people are ordering by PayPal and as soon as they see that Onda-tablet seems to be lying they claim their money back! People are not dumb!
This is not good for you and not good for your customers! Just be honest and transparent about stock availability and delivery times!

Question Availability?

Hi. Is this device available for purchase yet? I checked the official website but couldn't find a link to the usual resellers.
I love my Poco x3 nfc so much that I want another one just like it or even sightly better.
Thank you!
My only problem is the punch hole camera but other than that the Poco is perfect!

Excuse my diggresion, but, had you an antenna problem with your Poco x3 NFC? There were many people had it and I fear this new model will have it too.

Hi. This is a great question and I can't answer it as I've only used my Poco X3 NFC without sim card so far for developing my new script. The FM radio and wifi works just fine over here.
Could you please send me a link describing the signal problems you just mentioned? Thank you.
I'm interested in the availability and shops for Central Europe for the 8/256 GB variant: the presale with 249 instead of 299 euros should start soon (some days) and go until the begin of April.
I'm undecided if I should wait until longtime reviews, GCam and Custom ROMs are available or order right now.
According to tuttoandroid.net it should be available for preorder at the ufficial site shop, Amazon and other shops from 26th march and only be offered at the presale price until 29th march. Other sites like goboo.com say the presale is on 22-25th march (Shop Link). Amazon.it does not have it yet, on POCO site it seems possible to order only from 26th 13:00 CET (direct shop link).

Hi, thanks. I've read this thread here
It is unfortunate that the "official presale shops" (€ 199/249) seem to have differing conditions (availability, shipping time in EU, gifts):
po.co/it offered by Xiaomi Technology Netherlands B.V. HQ Xiaomi Peking, Singapore, Hongkong. 6/128 and 8/256 GB. Delivered from 29th March.
ebay.it offered by shopmi-it China Authorized Store. Shipping from EU Countries? 6/128 and 8/256 GB. Delivered from 29th March. Limited Gift earphones. Delivery 13-19th April (in ebay.de gift earphones 6/128 and Mi Band for 8/256, delivery 15-20th April).
amazon.it offered by Mi Smart Living (Uniqbe Europe SL, Madrid, ES. HQ Hongkong, Mobile Phone Wholesale). 6/128 GB model (B08YJFSHFM). Delivered from 1th April. 8/256 GB Model (B08XY81ZV2) with headphones gift, delivered from 10th April.
goboo.com offered by Goboo Singapore E-Commerce Private Limited and China. Delivery in 3-7 working days from Spain. Gift: first Mi Watch Lite and next 400 Mi True Wireless Headphones (seem already gone).
belsimpel.nl offered by MobielWerkt BV in Groningen NL. No presale yet (€ 251/301) or only with contract? EU-Shipping €4,95 some seem In-Stock 1-2 b.day delivery or 2-4 days for the others.
Not investigated: allegro (PL), mi-home.pl (PL), shopee.ph (PH), anno? (not found), cool blue (not found)
Is already in Amazon
Again no headphones? What a shame.
Hey at least they give us the headphone jack! That's better than nothing.
Deleted!

This is most likely where I'll be purchasing the device from.
Not much is known about things like shipping, the only known piece of information is that the sale will start on 29th March 8:00 AM UTC with a limited discount. Lowest price - 899 PLN (~193 EUR)

I want to get it on Allegro because I know the exact date and time when to expect the release, so I have the best shot at ordering early. Is it known when it starts on Mi-home?

According to the photos, it will probably only be available in Poland's mi store. (At least for the early bird prices)

It is, 1.04, i think
hm, already sold out.
Looks like both mi-home and Allegro decided to start the early bird sale in the same hour. I checked Allegro first as I planned, but they were getting a few minutes late with starting the sale, so out of curiosity I checked mi-home and there they were - brown 6/128 variant and blue 8/256 variant. Tried to buy the latter but because I had to create an account, I was too late and it got sold out in a matter of minutes.
I checked back on Allegro and they showed up on there as well. Managed to grab the 8/256 model, planned shipping - 1st April. Now fingers crossed for no delays.
Seems like the 8/256 versions have been sold out very quickly compared to 6/128 versions, which still seem available for purchase almost 90 minutes after the sale began: https://allegro.pl/kategoria/xiaomi...&bmatch=cl-nbn-e2101-d3681-c3682-ele-1-2-0319
For 8/256, on mihome and allegro, it looked like it showed up "sold out" immediately after release

I've been looking at both pages right when the sale began. On mi-home, the 8/256 variant was gone within 5 minutes of the sale...
PS: According to Allegro, 350 phones were sold in the version I bought (8/256 Octa Phantom Black), idk about other color variants.
