Greetings from Germany!
Is there any way to get more bluetooth profiles without any trouble?
I only want to have the handsfree or better the sim access profile.
I don't need any other updates, only these profiles...
Hi Germany!
I don't mean to be rude but did you run a search of the forums first? If so you'd notice multiple threads already asking this question.
They all have the same answer: No luck yet.
A lot of people are trying real hard but this is proving to be trickier than anyone expected.
Hi, Leechazoid
Yes, I tried, and I've found a lot, but nothing helpful. Some users here have a hands-free profile, but it seems it's included in only one ROM.
And I don't want to change to a non-german ROM, I thought about a way to get the files contains the profile.
Greetings from sunny but cold Germany

Newbie who has evolved from basics to cooking solely with the great information that is included here (and the great tools). Haven't asked any questions in anything but the accessories sections until now - hope I don't start with a stupid one. Do my part by answering most questions that I can and I have searched for literally hours on this without finding a definitive answer (I swear I'm not too stupid).
How do the great chefs cook their registry settings in? Do you edit the hives during the cooking process every time? Seems like there should be an easier way than how I am doing it and I can't seem to find a definitive answer anywhere. It takes me forever to export the files and edit them to my liking only to have to cook another version 20 minutes later to fix some custom package issue. I've looked everywhere for the right solution...tried everything from manually editing to using Settings Savior, etc and nothing is the answer I'm looking for. Not very advanced as a programmer, but should understand enough to figure this out. I like most of the changes suggested by KaiserTweak and want to integrate them plus some others (the WiFi registry edits for the Comm Manager, etc.). Is a provisioning.xml file the answer? My ROMs are generally just for me - but I have had one or two people ask to try them and I hate that you still have to tweak so many settings (via KaiserTweak, etc.) after flashing to get them the way I really want them. Thanks much for any help you can give me.
Actually - one other question. Now that I'm to this point I'd like to start making some donations to those that have created the tools that have made it possible for me. What is a standard donation? Don't want to offend either way. Thanks again.
Bump. I know I didn't wait long, but it made it to page 3 overnight.

I'd suggest reading this post, which basically says, make an OEM package.

Anything you choose to donate or can afford. Average is about $20, I've seen as low as $5 and as high as $50.

In the future, if you want a timely response, I suggest you reply to an existing thread. It seems most folks (including myself) use the thread subscriptions tab in the user control panel, so we read the threads we're tracking first, and if we have time, we look at the forum for new threads. Otherwise, your thread will be lost in the shuffle...
Hope this helps!
Alex - thanks a lot....for everything you do. You're exactly who I was referencing when I thought of my first donation. Love your work/help here and your work on the Kitchen is the reason I can cook. Sorry I asked something that you'd answered - I thought I read every post in your latest Kitchen thread (actually most of your threads) multiple times. Been looking for this answer for a while.
BTW - my girlfriend works for IBM and we are up in your area quite a bit. Nice place to live.
Hi All,
I have a what may be a DUMB question from a relative n00b.
Now, believe it or not, I have searched for this answer. So please no "your an idiot comments".
I was wondering whether anyone has put together standalone custom sound themes. I mean like full sound sets that do not change the visual but set up an entire sound and notification set.
If there is a particular name for this kind of scheme, please let me know.
As a general hello to all, I have been using this site and PPCGeeks (seemingly the same forum users) and I have to say, the developers have done wonderful things. A general thank you for all your hard work.
Best regards,
Osiris
Development thread for a software method to morph your voice during a phone call
The idea is to develop a software method which let's you morph your voice during a phone call. There are many ways to achieve this and I am amenable to suggestions.
Since I was not able to find any API which let's you configure the voice or the stream from the microphone or something similar I came up with the idea to write a driver for the microphone, which would give me the ability to change my voice directly within it, but after some research it was clear to me that it can't be that easy.
Updates:
05.05.2010 - Microphone driver solution died. Researching for a new way...
Windows Mobile doesn't seem to have any influence on the microphone during a phone call. Deeper research about the hardware of the phone is necessary (processors, DSP/MDSP,....).
HELP IS APPRECIATED AND ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME
I will update this thread as some news appear.
Please write your suggestions and your ideas directly as post in this thread.
Good idea !
good luck , i'll watch this thread

You've posted in a HD2 specific forum, but that one is specific to Windows Mobile software development.
Device specific
The reason why I posted it here is that I am going to develop the driver on this device (HD2 Leo) and because the only solution so far i figured out is developing a driver, which is device specific.
good idea, i have been after an app similar to the "i am t-pain" (autotune)app from iphone
please can you use autotune?
God speed to you good sir!

Fair enough, but surely it wouldn't be a device specific driver to do this? Never mind.
This will be great for extortions. The question is whether we can find a way to disgiuse the phone's ID and location (which can be found using cellular triangulation) otherwise we have achieved nothing here.
lol this would be a fun one... hopefully you can work some magic and create a special treat for us hd2 users

Autotune is an app for iphone, which obviously can't help us here.
In addition autotune doesn't morph your voice during a phone call.
The main problem here is not the morphing itself (such apps already exist for WinMo), but the fact that it needs to be done while you make an active call.

Live morphing during a active phone call would be nice..
There is a software name Voice Twister for Windows mobile which can do live morphing but not during active phone calls..

We have a serious man here.
I really need massive help. Obviously I am brand new to this forum and have absolutely NO idea what the jargon or codes mean in these threads. Overclocking? Rebooting into recovery? SU? Kernal version requirements? I am merely a car guy and will gladly assist in ANY and all car questions. This is what I would like to accomplish. Root the phone to delete the useless programs that are just taking up space. Namely, Amazon MP3, Facebook (don't even have an account), Goggles, Google Search, Latitude,Talk, Twitter, Voice Dialer and finally Voice Search. I figure I don't need many of these since when I do actually use most of those Voice type programs Vlingo is used. Am I wrong to delete so much? A ROM is basically the screen design layout and buttons correct? I am needing set by step (Barney style) instructions on how to accomplish what I would like to do. I currently have a Droid 1 with version 2.2.1; Build FRG83D; Kernel 2.6.32.9-g68eeef5 . If that makes any sense or helps in my quest great, if not please let me know what else is needed. I have Windows XP if that matters as well. So like I said, if you have car issues or just want a little more performance or gas mileage I can help. I'm partial to domestics, Chevy especially, but can definately assist with them all. Thanks in advance all!

Good luck,
Hi,
I'm looking forward to an answer to this as I don't seem to find anything relative anywhere. Is it possible to connect a droid over a 3G network(not wifi) from a remote location(A computer). We are actually trying to develop a project where a android phone(xperia ray) will be mounted on a bot and will be controlled by DTMF and video feed will be sent via 3G video call. We want to implement a few more functions and hence we are looking forward to establish a remote session via a computer. I don't know what logic to be used to code, or if there is any existing solution to this. Need a few thoughts. Also need to send the sensor data remotely to the controller droid phone or computer. Help of any kind would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Yes its possible, but your questions are too broad to answer.
There are various ways you could implement it, be it ssh sessions, websites or more.
Get more familiar with writting apps and ask something specific, we can't do your work for you, you have to do some research yourself .

Hi thanks for the reply Sure. Ofcourse we don't expect anyone to write codes for us. Which method would you suggest , which will be easy to implement coding/learning wise? I'm good at websites with php
Thanks.
One site that I've found that can do anything with the phone over 3g, is webkey. I don't know if it's what you're looking for, but it seems like it may be.
