Hey guys, just joined up with this forum. I just purchased the ATT 8525 today and hopefully it will be here in a few days. Is there anything that i should know more about this phone, besides specs and stuff? Anything that i should do when i get the phone? Any advice will be good.
Thanks
Welcome to xda! There is a wealth of information here for your phone. Before your next post:
1. Read the sticky at the top of the Hermes section regarding posting (trust me its for your own good)
2. Get VERY familiar with this section of the site:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Hermes
If I were you I would spend some serious time reading through the forums before you decide to do anything to your phone. It will definitiely help you in the long run. Good Luck!
hi and welcome
i'm not as familiar with the unit you have but i think it's also known as wizard....guyz, please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong here... but in any case, scroll down the main forum page and you should see the section dedicated to the wizard. from there you can browse around and check the extremely useful list of topics for the device.
cheers
No..see my signature. The 8525 is a Hermes. I have the same phone.
norwstman30, welcome to xda-devs!!!
please, please, please, please, search and read! everything you will run into IS on this forum and posting a question of what to do when your 8525 (hermes) freezes or drops calls.. etc will annoy the rest of us. The wiki has all you need to know, welcome to owning a great device!
i own the imate jasjam which is the same as the 8525 except its black and has a camera on the front. I'm on at&t aswell in austin, texas... hook 'em horns!
Hey, just joined, purchased the Softbank X01HT, and the person previously installed the english pack. Will definately read through the wiki first.
Just wanted to say hi!

HCT Touch Cube thingy

Has anyine managed to do a ROM like the new HTC Touch PDA? Would this work on my XDA Exec? Or can someone help me put the iphone theme on my XDA.
Thanks
Come on, at least look on the same page before you ask questions. The same thin's being asked further down.
Basic answer is tough luck for now, nobody has made VGA versions of either.

Oh I'm so sorry, I had no idea being new somewhere means you are unable to read the other questions posted on the very same page.
I'll bear this in mind from now on.
Thanks to enlightening me to this terrible affliction that must strike users with less than several days, or posts on their profile.

Hi Razor,
You are welcome to the world of reading, hacking, unlocking, installing, tweaking etc.......and reading again. I would suggest you enter "user cp" (3rd line on the top left) and fill in some details, and at least create a signature
Good luck!

Hello fellow XDA Members

Hello,
My name is tortib and I'm a fellow android user I just got my SGS3 but I've also had a G1 and a G2. Just introducing myself to the board as a welcome message to all of those people out there. Been trying some cooked ROMS and I must say there isn't too many for the SGH-T999, the ones that do exist aren't that great on battery life. But with that aside I wanted to say hello and just introduce what kind of gear I've had in the past.
Thank you all for reading.
Sir, there is a "hi" or "hello" thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=961655
Thank You and Thread Closed

Greetings,
Thank you for using XDA Assist.
First, you'll need to create an XDA account so you can post in the other sections. Then perhaps you should visit XDA University.
Then any further questions can be posted here:
Android Q&A
Good luck and welcome to XDA!
