will it work with the 1.66ROM XDA II?
anyone tried it?
was planning to get a Socket Wifi SD card for my XDA II with ROM ver 1.66 but want to be sure it will work.
any special installation or just simply plu ang play?
I see that there is an option to choose Socket SD card on the network setup, does that mean it has built in driver already on the XDA II?
many thanks in advance for any help

Hi All,
I've playing with a number of Roms and afew of them have the same problem in which the Sdcard cannot be accessed by the USB cable while trying to update it through my PC.
At present I'm using Kyorarom's and that has the same problem.
Does any one know why this is, and is there a fix for this problem.
Many thanks

Try using an app called DualmountSD also don't forget to enable USB debugging

HI
When i face this issue, i close all apps with task manager, clear ram, wait for sd to scan till 100% and attach the cable again.
Easiest and best way out is to use DualMount SD app.
its one of the best app to use, you dont have to then wait for card to get unmounted and then wait again after mounting to let scan complete before being able to use it with the lag.
Hi, I'm a bit noob on these issues, a few days ago my phone brickied, but I solved it, after that when I connect the phone to my laptop recognize the SD card like internal memory and storage of the phone recognizes it as the SD card ....
I also like that I recommend an unofficial ROM
without bugs and stable for my phone, if possible
having bootloader
I hope someone can help me

Not sure what you are asking sir, I have installed these, which means I have either tested or ran the ROMs in the Dev. as far as sd card issues, there is none, now for CM9, the mount is different than Gingerbread...EMMC which means: Embedded Multi Media Card, vice the GB "ext SD" label.

the laptop does see the phone units, the problem is that it shows the wrong way .. shows the phone's internal storage like a removable card (SD)

Hi everyone!
I would like to install the Jellybean 4.1 on my Galaxy W but I'm having trouble finding USB mass storage.
There doesn't seem to be settings>wireless and networks>USB available?
Is there a good tutorial available for this sort of thing?
I've already tried the xda search, couldn't find what I was looking for.
Thank you!

Are you trying to access the microSD card in you Galaxy W or the internal SD card?
And why would you look in Wireless and Networks? *facepalm*
Sent from my DROID2 using xda premium
usb mass storage
Internal sd
why?
Because that what I believe the directions said.settings>
wireless and networks>usb utilities.Imagine my dismay when
I realized my galaxy w i8150 had no such setting!
by the way, I flashed the InDroiD Remics 5.1 for Galaxy w and it wouldn't let me past the lock screen.the
"welcome" screen would show (set up) but fade quickly.
any suggestions?
THANK YOU!
Brother Mark

Check this things first,
connect the SD card with computer & check Whether your SD card can read/write the data from PC or not...!!!??
Eject it and again Re-check it...
It seems that your SD card is dead..and might be u have lost the read/write permission... :finger-crossed:

Thanks for your solution, but is there a way to edit the file vold.fstab, as for example in Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 or other phones?
EDIT: Your solution isn't work on JB
Use FolderMount.
