BT Headset to play mp3 - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 Software Upgrading

Hi,
I'm unsure on where to post this new topic. I would like to check if there is any possible ways to allow my BT headset to connect to my mini and then play the mp3. I believe a 3rd party program is needed.. Would be great if anyone can help here.. my bt headset is Motorola HS850.

there's no way to do that with the magician as far as i know due to the ms bluetooth stack

Hear the mp3 at bluetooth earphone

Hi guys,
anybody can help me to find out using the bluetooth earphone hearing the mp3, i'm using the mini xda , also is it possible to dial phone number using the vito voice using the earphone
thanks
I´m looking for a solution of similar problem too. But there seems to be a problem in Windows Phone Edition. The Bluetooth stack works together only with the radio stack. Means it supports only the Headset or the Handsfree profile.
What we need is the support of an Audio profile. In the case of stereo output there is another problem. Bluetooth is too slow to transfer it properly.
Maybe you will find other hints when looking for other key words in the forum: "navi speech output", "widcom bt stack" or "bth tools"
I´m looking for it because I want to hear the output of Navigon on my bike (that would be mono). The widcom bt stack is under construction and may support the profile in the future. The BTH Tools is an addon to the MS BT stack and solves some problems with Headsets and GPS mice. :?
Another solution would be to fit an bt transmitter in the earphone jack and use an separate receiver with normal earphones. But the harware is really fat, because its usually developed for home entertainment.
i'm getting these
http://www.bluetake.com/products/BT420EX.htm
they work
Okay, I found them too. But with a price of about $ 200,00 they are to epensive. I won´t divide them into parts to fit them into my helmet.

Can I use Bluetooth to listen to mp3 and other audio on MDA?

Hi guys
I've not used a bluetooth headset with my MDAIII before so please excuse a few simple questions!
I have a motorbike and use Autocom to commect to my phone, mp3 player, radio etc etc. Trouble is - lots of wires!
My question:
Can I use the MDAIII & bluetooth headset not only for the phone function but to listen to media player or listen to a film etc etc, or is it exclusively for the phone?
Regrads
John
The guys here are desperately trying to find ways to make that happen. Unfortunately, no news yet.
as far as i read then you can install vidcomm bluetooth stack and get the music part working but then it will not work as phone headset
or you can stick with the normal stack and only use it for phone headset
i just use this
http://www.pdacorps.com/default.asp?key=pages/iPhono.htm
then i can do both
and ditch the dongle if
anybody else solve the issue

Blue tooth head set - but not for phone?

Is it possible to use a bluetooth headset for ALL audion not just the phone? I already use Pocket Skype but I want to be able to use my bluetooth headset - since it doesn't consider the Skype to be a phone call - how can I make it use the headset for all sounds produced by the device?
All help and advice appreciated. All good advice and help appreciated more. All useful advice and help... ah, now we're talking!
M
think people have been able to get headsets working for normal audio using the broadcom or vidcomm bluetooth stack insted of the ms one
but it also seems that those bluetooth stacks dont support the headset profile so people cant use their headset for phoning anymore
Interesting catch 22 - phone bluetooth or other sounds bluetooth - but not all sounds bluetooth.
Isn't it silly things like this that make a great device irritating?!(Rhetorical)
yes it's silly
guess it comes down to ms not liking bluetooth which they dident invent themselfs so their stack is kinda thin
not sure what vidcomm and the rests's excuse is
i personaly bougth the bluetake iPhono headset which have a dongle which makes it possible for me to use my headset to work with both
phone and music

If what you say is correct, then there is a bit of a conundrum. The telephone operates via the bluetooth stack - so how does the gps receiver connect? There is apparently a way for the PC element of the device to use bluetooth, so why not audio?
I think using an external Btooth transmitter id a bit OTT. This is a software fix requirement.

Hi, I am thinking to buy the Bletake Bluetooth I-Phono BT420Ex + BT430EX with my Qtek 2020 / Xda II, And I want to know it will work properly... my ROM it´s 2.20CHS.
And if yours answer it´s positive, how?
You connet the audio dongle to the output of the pda and the headset with the pda by BT?
Thanks
yes as bluetooth headset it's supported
and the xda dont have to support the dongle
as far as the xda see it the dongle is just a wired headset
the dongle take care of everything wireless
heck if you want you can connect the dongle to something else
and still have it as bluetooth headset for the xda at the same time
when you get a call the headset disable the audio from the dongle and act as a normal bluetooth headset
Hi,
according to this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=245461#245461 , I assume that you have this bt headphone and you have used it with satisfactory results...
Now, I still have a few doubts :
1) Do you connect the dongle to the pda and use it to listen music?
2) You use the bt manager of the pda as a handsfree?
3) Or do you use the dongle with the pda to both listen to music, and talk on the phone?
4) Or do you never use the dongle at all...?
5) Did you upgrade the bt manager of the pda? If this is true, where can I do it in the forum?
Thanks for all...
1 yes
2 yes
3 only needed when i listen to music
i just use bluetooth tools
and the org ms bluetooth stack
if one have a bluetooth stack which support a2dp
the dongle is not needed at all
Thanks!!
Many thanks for your patient and reply.

Bluetooth headset and my Fuze

I have a motorola h780 (regular mono headset). I'm unable to listed on audio from the music player through my bluetooth headset. My wife has an LG Incite and the same headset and she is able to do this. Is the Fuze really lacking this ability? I was able to do the same thing on my Motorola Q with an H500 headset. I appreciate any help.

this worked for me, just copy the files over to your fuze and run the bluetooth toggle app and it should automaticlly connect.
Awesome! This works great. Just curious as to why the device will not stay in headset mode. I wonder if A2DP requires that you have an A2DP headset to keep it on? Either way I’m happy with this program.
How to do?
iris: pardon a WM rookie; I copied the files to a folder in the FUZE in the Applications space, the folder titled "BT Audio", but cannot find a way to run them. How do I make this an executable?
Also, what I am trying to do is listen to the audio track of a WMV movie that I have successfully ported. I can hear the sound through the speaker (barely), but want to hear with a regular, mono BT headset (Plantronics Voyager 510). The BT dialog shows it as "hand free", and I don't know of a way to assign it also as an audio headset. Will this program do that?

[Q] Listen to music and podcasts on Mono BT headset

Hi friends,
I own a HD2 running Android and the only thing that I couldn´t find a solution was to listen to my music and podcasts though my Nokia BH-104 mono bluetooth headset.
On WinMo I used a very simple program which gives me the option to stream the audio to the BT earpiece or not. But I haven´t find anything like this to Android.
Am I missing something or it´s not possible to do this?
Thank you!
Nobody else has this problem?
I had the same problem, I use to use a regular bt earpiece through my winmo phone but on my Hero I had to get the new moto h17 earpiece to listen to music or in my case Howard Stern through the earpiece, On an android phone the earpiece needs to be A2dp.
Oh, what a shame! =/
My friends, I opened this thread, however nobody was able to help me. Although I have performed a deep search on google and I was able to find a program that just does what I ever wanted!!!
It´s called Super BT Mono Froyo Pro and can be found on the Android Market. It costs only $2.99 and it´s worth each cent.
The only advice I can give is: before disconecting the Mono BT earpice/headset, open Taskiller and shut down the program. Otherwise, Android will crash and reboot.
Anyway, now I can listen to my podcasts!!! Yahoooooo
