i have flashed a non tmobile rom on my jam .. i need to take it in for repairs and need the original or latest tmobile rom on it so as not to void the warranty..
can any one please please help!! its urgent!

I need this too please. There is one on the FTP (Magician\T-Mobile UK) but the zip file seems to be corrupt.
Have a try again, you may have gotten to the file whilst i was doing the upload.

Hi,
I tried to upgrading my ROM for my O2 XDA II Mini, but I think I used the wrong ROM and now all that comes on my screen is Serial v1.00 or USB v1.00. There was some error that came up as it was flashing, about being the wrong model.
I bought the English version in Hong Kong and I think it might have been shipped from Australia. I have spoken to technical support and they have suggested I need to take it back to them for a 5 day repair.
Can anybody advise how to get out of this situation?
Every time I try to upgrade the ROM now it comes up with wrong country ID.
Also is it possible to flash and O2 XDA Mini with the I-Mate JAM ROM as I don’t think I can find the correct ROM for this model and country phone?
Where to download the latest ROM? Would it be on the CD I got with the phone? I have also tried hard reset but no hope.

Log into the XDA Developers FTP Site and download the original rom that shipped with your device.
Connect your device and run the rom upgrade, it should be fine.

Just comming up with country ID error. Going to try another ROM.
There arent to many O2 XDA Mini shipped ROM upgrades in the FTP.
Is there a way to change the country ID?
If you suggest using GetDeviceData.exe it keeps saying not a vaild win32 application. How to get this working?
Not without the passwords for the roms. These are hard to come by and I'm not aware of them being available yet.
What rom were you running before you did this latest upgrade?

Looks like i'm taking the phone back to the shoop tomorrow. Not gonna try the upgrade again!.
Maybe I will try a back up and psot the rom here. There seems to be no O2 XDA Mini ROM's ion this site.

cause the one that is there at the moment is a pile of rubbish, and i dont think it is a proper rom
for a start it should say Magician in the Hex Editor at the beginining and it does not say that,

it is complete, as this is the file i used to make my bigstoarge, and i am using it on my mda compact. This was the tmobile.uk.1.12 rom that was uploaded, but has been broken some how on the ftp etc. mine does work

It's in the upload folder now, under sub-folder magician... Grab it while it's there... It is known that people will delete folders and files for some cheap thrill...

Did you try the file in the \Uploads\Magician folder??
That was the re-uploaded one... Try that... I have deleted the file in the main upload folder as that one is not complete...
I had tried it... but the file size is only 7632kb is not complete

Okie guys... I have just downloaded the zipped file at my office and I am able to extract the file and execute the file until the page where it say upgrade... blah... blah... blah...
So there's nothing wrong with it and it works 110%.
If you are still having problem, use a proper FTP client like Filezilla and not IE. Besides, Filezilla's free.
P.S. I have also updated the Wiki as pointed out by Chatty. Thanks Chatty!!

what you have done actually..
o2 has official rom at o2 site...
o2 germany.. you can download from there..
I have the same problem.
I went back to a pdaviet wm5 version and then applied the official o2 update.
Everything worked fine except for the boot screens. I cannot change the first one (HTC screen).
I'm urgently looking for a working nk.nbf file which will restore my o2 bootscreen (the blue bubble screen) so that I can send in my HTC prophet for waranty.

That's exactly what I did, but this update didn't change the bootscreens back to the o2-ones...

As most of O2 UK customers, I got stuck on 1.43 and it seems it will take them some time to release 1.66 (but who knows that? it might be 1.45).
So, I decided to not wait and have a try to cooked rom.
- If u r with O2 UK could u help me to do it step by step please?
- which rom wld u recommend.
- I know I void warranty but before I send the phone to repair I can put back
there my 1.43 firmware and everything is ok, am I right? Cld u send me a link to O2 1.43 firmeware just in case.
