Is it normal that MDA stops searching for devices when I try to beam contact via Bluetooth? I think it searchs during only 1 minute and then stops without a notice.
Is there a hack to let it keep searching much longer?

I am not able to use the receiver with Autoroute 2004(pocket streets). The manual suggests that I ensure a virtual COM port is established before connecting the receiver, which I am not able to get around. I am lost and stuck with an expensive receiver. Can some help, please? ASAP
Daz, when you try to run the program does it give the option to choose your gps/com port?
no, nothing came up on the screen. Fortunately I have been able to resolve the problem. Need to disable to incoming beam option in connection setting
I currently have the same problem with rakaline 6031-x7 and tomtom navigator. I use to connect the gps reciever via blutooth manager as slave and then set it up in tomtom on my ipaq. now I can't find any options in bluetooth settings on my xda2. Any chance of a little help?
:?
gavcha, the xda2 is braindead where bluetooth is concerned, are you running the latest gps 2.09 from tomtom? If you are using that and it still isnt working, download towas patch, remove the gps from the bonding on your bluetooth, install towas patch, run tomtom wizard, gps manager in discoverable mode, add device in bt manager by choosing "new", choose the gps, ok everything, towas patch should then come up and give you the serial option, choose that. When finished go to tomtom gps, choose tomtom bluetooth and in the second drop down your gps should be available, choose that and it should work.
Cheers mate. me being the impatient ba£$%rd that I am found this site

Good to know it works, when O2 release the update it should get better, by the way that link you posted has been a pain in the ass for me, I have clicked that link in numerous posts and NEVER been able to connect, I have the patch now but does anybody else have problems linking to the above link.?
yeah i had problems going back to it when i was checking it to put it in my last post. try googling xda2 bluetooth manager. thats what took me to another forum with the link to this. worth a try.
Hey,
i have the following prob, hopefully someone has a clue cause its starting to drive me nuts since im not able to find a solution.
i can connect bluetooth, i can sync and i can have that connection for hours, but as soon as i want to use internet or for example msn messenger that the connection just quits.
i have the following setup: magacian with toshiba stack on my mda and the normal windows xp2 drivers on my desktop. i already tried the normal bt drivers on my mda, but they also quit after using internet.
strange thing is, or maybe not, that i can use internet and other programs when i am on usb, then the connections doesnt quit.
anyone one has a clue?
thanks in advance!

All
has anybody managed to configure the TT3 navigator and bluetooth GPS to work with the new XDaIIi at all? I've been trying most of the day,
I can get the BT manager in the xda to pair with the GPS unit.
I can tell get the xda to communicate with the gps I think???
I cant get a signal from the GPS to xda when TT3 is on, hence useless!!
In my xda BT manager I can see that the GPS is active on an outgoing connection, is this right?
I thought it would have been an inbound connection, but that may be just me!
HELP!!!
Cheers
Pete
working perfect here, tomtom navi 3, bluetooth gps, xda2i
I posted pics of it running in the other thread.. I just selected the correct comport (com6 iirc) in the gps config and clicked the slider to allow it to talk to tomtom
Yup was using mine last night on the way home.
Cheers

Mine is working perfect,
Make sure that on the GPS status, then GPS tab you have selected TomTom Wireless GPS. On the second drop down mine says Bluetooth Serial Port COM6
any chance any of you can spare a few mins to talk me through this pls as I seem to be completely lost with this thing? I thought I'd done everything I was supposed to do....and it still wont work!!
I've got a little time this morning, so if anyone has a few mins to assist I'd be grateful
i'll watch this thread for a reply...
Cheers
Pete
sure if u use msn messenger add me, i'm ** details removed after numerous requests for pirated tom tom navi **
on irc i'm maltloaf on efnet
Thankyou to all of you who assisted in the resolution. Ultimately it turned out to be as simple as resetting the port on the device to com port 6 and checking the blue tick box at the side!
Dead easy when you know how!!
Grateful thanks to all for the advice and willing assistance.

There is a great program for Smartphone called BT Autosync. It automatically connects to ActiveSync and then disconnects itself at set intervals over bluetooth. The developer does not seem to be updating his site anymore. Has anyone found a similar program for Pocket PC-WM5?
Sure it has been 7 Months but I figured I post this as this is the only thread talking about this that I could find.
Its a little bit more updated, trying the demo out tonight, will give results.

Hi ! I own a brand new Palm Treo 750V, unfortunately there seems to be something wrong with BT. Always when I try to activate BT it is not going to activate. Once out of 50 tries activates the BT, but will lose connection soon. Does anyone has a hint ? Would highly appreciate your comments. thanks dirk
I have the same problem when trying to connect to my Audi's build-in bluetooth phone. All my previous phones work, but the treo 750 seems to give some issues. Everytime it connects to the car for about 1-2 minutes and then it disconnects. The problem is that it wil connect and disconnect over and over and over... therefore setting off a really anoying beep. Hopefully this issue will be fixed with WM6.0
Had this too in the past. When you connect to your car just keep your screen active without keyguard activated.
Thats the way i connect to my car without any trouble.
When i connect the first time to my car and leave the car after a while and try to reconnect it again then often it doesn't connect anymore, but when the screen is active it connects all the time.
Also from time to time my bluetooth doesn't turn on ( on treo), seems like a bug and have to reset the device.
