I need the T-mobile SX56 original 2002 ROM (so i can upgrade to special edition rom and unlock it). Is there anything else i need to make the xdaunlock.exe compatible?
I've tried with AT&T roms on AT&T units and i could unlock just fine.
But when i used the AT&T rom on the T-mobile xda (which is updated to windows2003) and upgrade to special edition rom i still get the "error getting unlock codes".
Could somebody help?

Actually, before i reinstalled my Windows, i used a tool to back up my current ROM, which it did into a .nb1 file. I still have that file, but i have no idea which tool i used

I've only had my MDA Compact a week & decided to do a ROM upgrade.. Stupidly I didn't back up my existing rom... I chose what was the latest ROM listed on the Shipped ROMs section of the site, which is a Telstra image. I've now got a Telstra Magician, but really want to got back to my T-Mobile setup... Can anyone help? I'd be really grateful to anyone who can help me...
i posted the same question with still no replies, I tried to do the same, by copying the first 416 bytes from my existing rom to the t-mobile 1.12.00 on using the bytecopy on this ftp under uploads/magician but to no avail. Seems the only thing that works are now the i-mate roms. UK_11200_131_11210_ship seems to be the best after the original as it comes with the t-mobile extended rom. hope this helps ftp://xda:[email protected]/Magician/

I've a new O2 with german rom, I'm searching abot OS ENG ROM or I prefer the ITALIAN rom.

I've finally got mine backed up before i flashing it with i-jaming newest rom. But it is backed as dump. .. and as far as i know, to reflash it back later (i.e. if you/have want to), it has to be a .nba format. but i do not know how to convert it to that format.
If anybody knows how please let me know and i'll post the finished product here.

What ROM, OS, RADIO version is this? Currently i have the Qtek German ROM (see signature). Is the EXT ROM also available?

I am also very interested in flashing mine to an english rom (qtek, etc), but I do also want the option of going back to the GErman Rom if need be...but, i have not seen the original German (Neo) rom posted. Does anyone know where this can be found? The O2 site has nothing....

folks, the german (or whatever languaged roms) mostly pop up as soon as the carrier (o2, tmobile, orange, ...) or oem (qtek, imate) have a update rom available, so it is usually no problem to install your prefered rom now and then go back to the original as soon as you want to sell the device. also if you think that switching the rom may harm your warranty:
1) it's always possible to f*ck up the rom version you have on your device in case of a hardware issue (simply start any update and the unplug the usb), so your beloved device becomes a paperweight and noone can say what rom you've used; 2) would changing the os on your desktop pc harm any warranty? no. so there you go whenever someone asks.
you don't need to change the cid of your device, there's a modified upgrade_utility, so you can always go back to the original state of rom as soon as your carrier releases one.
go update now ...

I flashed my Phone back with my dumped GERMAN vodafone Rom 6.0.
Cause its a dumped Version i cant getthe 01_SPL.nb file of it which i need for creating a Vodafone SPL.
So what can i do? Can I use the file of a UK wm6.1 Vodafone Rom to create the SPL?
I read many articles here about reverting and SPLs but i dont really know if i can use other Roms to create the SPL or does it have to be the exact version i installed?
I am sure somebody of this huge community already did a reverting back to the german Vodafone 6.0 Rom

(the service team don't look at the SPL - just the OS)

I think you won't need to dump it from a rom. It is already on this site. Just search for it and if you do not find it i will help you searching for it because i don't know where it is.

Yep that's right. Not only that T-Mobile didn't yet release 6.1 for the Vario III, they don't even provide any kind of an update for the old 6.0
Acoording to their regulations of course, you wouldn't need this ROM since you're not supposed to replace it anyway...

Can't use the reconstructed cause my hard-spl had a bad installation and my kaiser stucks in the boot mode , so only an original rom that doesn't check for country and vendor IDs can save me.
I don't need an update , but just any version installable on this device to let me install in the right way hard-spl.
In my Diamond the hard-spl installation was fine , I was unlucky with the kaiser , mtty commands can't help me , just proved.

The version you need doesn't exist...
edit: What's on the phone now? The normal SPL? But a cooked ROM??!!
Since that's impossible to my knowledge I assume that you are stuck in Bootloader with the normal SPL and the official ROM is still flashed but doesn't boot. If that's the case you might hypothetically (I'm not suggesting you do ;-) )try taking it to a T-Mobile store and tell them it just stopped working.

Unfortunately I'm from Italy and there' re no T-mobile sellers in my country.
Normally I should not use that phone , taken from ebay at very cheap price.
I must be patient and wait for an update from tmo for the vario III ...

Hey, I have a big problem and I hope somebody can help me.
I have a Kaiser which stuck up in the bootloader and I have flashed it with the false ROM and now I'm not able anymore to change the ROM.
So I need the original Kaiser / MDA Vario III ROM from T-Mobile Germany and not the Update.
go to kaiser wiki to have a look .I downloaded one there
