No Custom Rom
we got no custom rom for Omnia w.
Somebody Please unlock the Bootloader of the Omnia w and start building a new rom.
or Could you please give some idea about bootloader and unlocking and extracting stock rom and building custom out of it.
Basically this thread is in hopes to complie EVERYTHING that anyone finds on ANYWHERE. If you find something useful to helping unlock the bootloader, an exploit, a dev talking to you or repling with a status on their rom, any information will help. I want to bring hope back to a doomed device. Every rom that has come out has been beautiful. Tried them all. But hope is dying off, and people are looking elsewhere, so with this thread I hope to bring anything we can rally on.
Edit: I noticed that on the Alliance Rom comment, someone had a reply about an unlock of the Bootloader as a WIP... Anyone care to comment?

theres 2-3 bootloader/root/rom threads in this section.. theyre not too active n e more cuz no news to give.. bootloader unlock is a wip cuz its not unlocked but no one has posted specofically if its at ll being worked on or not

Finger print sensor not working after flashing stock firmware
Im using infocus vision 3 mobile... I have rooted the mobile and when i did factory reset the phone got stuck at twrp loop and did not go any further.. i tried restoring the backup but nothing worked so i download the stock firmware and flashed the mobile now everything works fine except the fingerprint sensor.. when i got to settings to register finger print it is not registering.. people are telling me the only fix is changing motherboard... But I don't buy it.. i think its a software issue... can somebody please tell me a fix other than changing motherboard.. please guys
There is no point in asking a developer here to build a ROM for your device unless you are willing to buy another device like yours to donate to a developer for the purpose of creating your ROM. If you aren't willing to donate a device, do not ask for a ROM.
Also, ROMs can't be built unless the stock source code is available for your device, if that isn't available then you are wasting your time asking for a ROM, a ROM can't be built without the stock source code.
So, that leaves two very important questions to ask.
1) is the stock source code available for my device?
2) am I willing to pay for another device to donate to a developer to build a ROM?
If the answer to either of those questions is "No", you won't be getting a ROM.
If the answer to both of those questions is "Yes" then it is possible that a ROM can be built, but you'll probably get your ROM quicker by learning to build it for yourself because it is asking a lot for a developer to build a ROM for you for free or to take time from their life to work on a ROM for you just because you want one. Typically, developers only develop for the device they are currently using and then decide to share it with others, they do not build ROMs for devices they do not have.

Please find a way to unlock bootloader first, i think then its wise to proceed in the first place.
I would love to test custom roms on my nokia 7.2 actually that's the reason i bought it but its a pain in the as* to unlock its bootloader so please help me and my friends those who want their bootloader to be unlocked as nokia has disabled it in the update and as per unlocking the bootloader is the first step for installing custom recoveries and roms or kernels so it is impossible to test any rom without an unlocked bootloader please help XDA.

Hi Raghu, i wonder if ur request is still alive?
I own an N7.2 with latest android 10 patch 12/2020. After reading on xda, I found out, bootloader unlocking don't work anymore or will mess with the OTA updates at least.
I am looking for a way to get rid of google services while I would like to have a saferope back to stock. This solution should also provide ota security patches without to much hassle. Do you think that's possible with a rom or should I aim for stock with root/magisk?
My 2nd choice would be to reactivate my previous phone, an Mi A1. I replaced it since there was no official update since last year. Also it became a bit sluggish over time.
I learned recently there is an official LOS version for this phone. Maybe that's an more promising approach to my goals than the N7.2? Especially since I am not so happy with the N7.2 bulky appearance, weak accu and lately (since I fiddle with the deactivating several sys apps) random restarts while opening ordinary apps like browser or messenger.
