I want to know how to change a T-mobile MDAIII from German version to English version, actually i many meesage over forum, but i want to know how can i extrace a existing German version rom from MDAIII to a file for backup - just in case it got any problem during flash ROM error. then is that just follow your instruction to download a English rom, then flash to MDAIII?
what tool and how to do it?
Where can i find a new rom?
Then i need to download what tool to flash a new rom?

You are posting this in the wrong forum this is for the MDA compact not for the MDA III. MDA III is blue angel.

and can be change to ebglish version, but i saw that we do it with
i-mate rom that published here , its meen that i will not be able to upgrade my device with an dangard rom from qtek becaise i will get a error id ,
and my qeuestions is - there is any possibilty to upgrade my rom to qtek rom ? why the arabic rom that i have seen in this forum is working and the qtek rom not

I've a new O2 with german rom, I'm searching abot OS ENG ROM or I prefer the ITALIAN rom.
Before I delete my GER rom, If you want I can dump this for you. Do you have a O2 ENG or (the best) ITA rom (Qtek or i-mate)?.

I've finally got mine backed up before i flashing it with i-jaming newest rom. But it is backed as dump. .. and as far as i know, to reflash it back later (i.e. if you/have want to), it has to be a .nba format. but i do not know how to convert it to that format.
If anybody knows how please let me know and i'll post the finished product here.

ummm ... i would kindly appreciate if someone could backup its current ROM and upload it to xda ftp.
What ROM, OS, RADIO version is this? Currently i have the Qtek German ROM (see signature). Is the EXT ROM also available?

I am also very interested in flashing mine to an english rom (qtek, etc), but I do also want the option of going back to the GErman Rom if need be...but, i have not seen the original German (Neo) rom posted. Does anyone know where this can be found? The O2 site has nothing....

folks, the german (or whatever languaged roms) mostly pop up as soon as the carrier (o2, tmobile, orange, ...) or oem (qtek, imate) have a update rom available, so it is usually no problem to install your prefered rom now and then go back to the original as soon as you want to sell the device. also if you think that switching the rom may harm your warranty:
1) it's always possible to f*ck up the rom version you have on your device in case of a hardware issue (simply start any update and the unplug the usb), so your beloved device becomes a paperweight and noone can say what rom you've used; 2) would changing the os on your desktop pc harm any warranty? no. so there you go whenever someone asks.
you don't need to change the cid of your device, there's a modified upgrade_utility, so you can always go back to the original state of rom as soon as your carrier releases one.
go update now ...

Hi, I'm new in all this. Recently I get one MDA Compact (Magician). It all works but I have one problem. It's Germany version, and I don't know German so I want to switch it on English. Can somebody tell me how can I do this exactly (some links, guide, which programs I need to use), because I'm new in all this and I don't want to brake my gift I read some tutorials but I didn't get it all and I'm scared that I will burn ROM.
Version of softver which is in my magician is:

G 1337.42
D 1.13.01 GER

Hi,
The best solution for You is using .exe files provided by operators like T-mobile (Germany) or Era (Poland). These ROM versions are usually WWE (World Wide English - Edition) and can be found on operator web pages usually as "support".

This is English version that I use (quite nice)

Just download this exe and follow the instructions after executing this file.

Im looking at buying one in Portugal.
At Fanc they told me the WM5 will be in Portugeese and they are not sure if there is english on it.
Were can I get an english ROM (preferably WM5)?

the rom is in the ftp and you will have to first cid unlock it with http://www.imei-check.co.uk/ or alce you cant install any rom on it and the rom is wm6 and not wm5

the shiped WWE Rom for Vox are not excutable ... i get an error ...can someone update the roms on the ftp?

Well I downloaded the Dopod ROM just in case but when I got the phone it was in english it seems the guys at fnac are not the pro's they claim they are (and I asked 3 of them ).
