I just sell my XDA I from O2 network and want to buy SPV from ORANGE (E200 model)
Someone using it?
i got several questions:
a) is there signal strengh improved (in XDA i got huge signal problems :/)
what problems i may expect using it

Work keeps me in Italy three weeks out of four and I wondered if anybody has experience of using the XDA there. In the UK I use O2 but do not want the cost of O2 abroad for email and internet.
I have a Vodafone Italian pay as you go phone sim and the xda is unlocked but do not know the settings. Any ideas ?

Hi i have one of these phones and the signal strength is quite poor i had the xda orbit 1 previously and that was much better. Has any one got any suggestions on how to improve it there used to be a setting on nokias by typing *#somenumbers# and it would boost the signal strength.

Some of the handsets, I think, had this specific problem. You should exchange it with O2. I had a similar problem, but having swapped it with another one, it is Ok now.

I have an o2 XDA Orbit 2 running T-Mobile. After upgrading to WM6 (original o2 version) my XDA allways drops the UMTS connection after a short while. So reading a website and clicking to a link (e.g. NEXT PAGE) has a reconnection as result. I is simply anoying and slow!
Does anyone has a idea to prevent this? I have a Internet Flat rate so I don't bother about traffic at all... ;-)

Desperately trying to find an owner of the above as I need a backup of the Orange Signal Boost app in order to try and get it running on other devices. If this works it would allow Orange Uk users to use UMA which would be a God send if you live in a poor coverage area.

I have a HTC desire and it is in orange. I didn't buy it from the company itself but some other shop. So I now want to change from orange to another operator , but when insert a sum card of that operator I get half of the connectivity.. is it the radio which causes this or hardware? It is a sim free phone

what you meen half connectivity? i know that some operators use UMTS band and have weak connection on desire i just has same problem with one of israeli operator but this operator befor 3 years was cdma without sim card. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelephone

May be you need to ask your provider if it an gsm one
Both of the operators are GSM. Any other ideas?
Also , I didn't buy the phone from the operator itself but some third party shop and when I bought it they asked me what operator I wanted , orange or Pelephone and I said orange.. judging by this I think it is possible to somehow "repair" the connectivity?
