The 4 pins of the MDA II's head-set? - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 Accessories

Hi all,
I'm new here and I tried to find the answer for my question, but couldn't... That's why I'll ask it.
I'd like to build a 2.5 --> 3.5 mm jack plug adaptor for my MDA II's head-set whole. My only question is: from the 4 pins which 3 are for the stereo headphones? I don't need the microphone, only the headphones as I'd like to connect my MDA to my car's radio to be able to listen to mp3's while in the car.
I hope I could be clear )
Bye,
Tomiki

External speaker? Does it have any way to plug the audio into the car stereo?? 3.5mm audio jack would be nice while the microphone continues to function on the Car kit.
I really want to know if this one has a GPS connection, so I don't have to swap my Holux GM 210 for a BT mouse......
Is this for the XDA or the XDA II?

Can you confirm it works with the XDA II?
How does it connect to the XDA II headphone jack?
Does it have an external headphone jack?
(Asking this because I'm currently using an iSound FM transmitter to play MP3 from my XDA II through my car stereo.)
Thanks.
Ed

eXpansis Proffesional car kit
I just had the kit installed and it looks ok. The problem is that the audio is only present when I'm on a call and it's only phone audio. What I need is a way to get the PDA audio (i.e. the navigation speaking) to come through either the car speakers or the speaker included with the kit. The fact that call audio comes through both makes me think there are two problems.
- The first problem seems to be that the kit only passes audio to the speakers when the mute signal is live for the car audio. This wouldn't be the case when listening to pda audio (navigation instructions). This seems more like a problem with the car kit which with a bit of work I could prob. get around.
- The second problem I see is that only phone (call) based audio is passed through the car kit. This problem seems to be more with the XDA. I wonder if there is a registry hack to force all audio to look the same. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS THE CASE? If so I would really appreciate some pointers on this.
I'm using the Navman 4410 BT navigation system BTW.
Thanks,
Lyndon.
i think it is indeed a software problem.
when i first got my xda2 i made my own carkit
1 cable with audio out to carstereo, connection to my gps, connection to the charging unit
sound like mp3 and voice calling was fine
now when i updated the ROM it doesnt work anymore, i know 100% that my carkit is fine.

You made your own XDA2 carkit ?
btw. for the Expansys carkit users: Does it have an GPS-connector ? Some dutch guy at expansys said it didn't. But then again, i had to give him the link before he knew they actually sold XDA Carkits

Mr Handsfree

Does anyone know if there is a cable available to use the XDA II with this brand of car kit. I have searched around but cant seem to find any info.
THere are still no connector from Mr. Handsfree so I made my own one !
have a look here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=5676&highlight=handsfree
Nice ! Did you make a 2,5mm to a RJ45 (?) cable ?
If you could please post the pin layout of the Mr. Handsfree, if have some Nokia 8110 headsets i can use the 2,5mm plugs from....
Mr. Handsfree
Here are a .jpg with the pin layout of the converterbox for Mr. Handsfree.
The diagram is not complete, but this is not important as it is only the pin connections which are important.
The right side is the RJ 45 plug's wire colors and the left is the plug for the phone.
If your 8110 has the 2.5mm jack connector then I will guess it is connected to pin 3,4 & 5 on the phone side of the converter.
My Nokia 6210 has a different connector than the 8110.
I dont think it is a good idea to connect the MDA directly to the RJ45 connector as there was some noise generated from the phone. The noise disappered when the MDA was connected on the phone side of the converterbox.
At some point in time there will most likely be an "Original" connector from MR. handsfree with charging capabilities but for now we have to DIY.
BTW. I tried to update my phone with the latest ROM and the sound was lost through the connector, so I am back to version 1.03.00.
Good luck with the project.
xda orbit to nokia 6310 hands free conversion
Hi BOB. I have an xda phone and a nokia 6310 state-of-the-art hands free in my car. I can be your guinea pig for conversion if you are willing to take a guess at the wiring mode. Just remember that xda uses same cable (usb 4 wire) for the hands free. Your help is much appreciated.
Cheers

MDA II CarKit audio output problem

When I place my MDA II in my CarKit it no longer uses the audio outputs but plays music ect. over the internal speaker.
I checked the Car-on pin of the CarKit and found it powered with 5V wich is meant to indicate a passive cradle afaik (only phone routed to external speakers). This would mean the MDA just gets the wrong Signal but I cant imagine any fault in my CarKit causes 5V instead of ground beeing wired to the Car-on pin. Can anybody confirm the 5V beeing correct/incorrect for the T-mobile MDA II CarKit?
I briefly upgraded to WindowsMobile 5 and so I'm not shure if this is the reason for the different behaviour of the MDA.

[Q] Dock/Speaker

Hi everybody, after some unsuccessful searches on google i'm trying here i hope someone will help me to find a solution. I have the infuse with jelly bean liquid smooth rom everything runs good, from a couple of days i'm thinking that i would like to listen to my music with a speaker or something in order to have louder effect. i already have awesome beats so my audio it's better but the speaker of the phone can't compare with a docking station or a bigger speaker. So here my questions:
1. I found the docking station on amazon designed for the samsung infuse it's very nice but does that play audio or not! it charges the phone but has any speaker integrated or not?
2. I have an hp portable speaker can i connect it to my phone or not? the problem is that i need an adapter cause the cable of the speaker is not compatible with the phone. is any adapter that will able me to connect phone to speaker? The speaker model is WN483AA HP Portable Speaker, what kind of adapter I need?
If you can help me thanks in advance to xda and everybody xda the best!!!!
sorry for any mistakes working on my english everyday
The docking station for Infuse does not have a speaker. It has a 3.5 mm jack ( same size as on phone ) to plug a speaker into.
I looked at the HP speaker you have and can not come up with an adapter that can be used.
I googled and found this:
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2410219,00.asp
A few other similar things googling MobiAir smartphone dock
I'm sure you can find more.
