Hi all,
I've been to the Javo site and am VERY interested in one of their cases... The thing is, I'm a bit concerned as to whether the case will fit properly.
They say on their site that the case fits the following devices:
XDA II/Qtek 2020/MDA II and iMate Phone edition.
I know the SPV M1000 has different button designs to that of the XDA II etc, but I've done some research on the MDA II and from what I can tell it looks almost identical to the SPV M1000 except for black plastic around the button areas.
Could someone please confirm this fact as I've been in touch with JavoEdge about this but they haven't got/had an MDA II in for them to be able to check this.
Seems a bit silly to me that they would say the MDA II fits their case if its design is different to that of the XDA II!!!

Hi folks.
I have used my Himalaya now for a long time, and the case looks pretty ugly, a bit cupperish on the side. Short it looks bad.
Does anyone know where or if i can get a new Case for the MDA II ?
Thanks!
I suppose there is no such thing as a new case for the XDA/MDA II available?

I really would like to know if there is one single chosen forum member?
To me it seems this is cheap advertising!
I was chosen.
It's not just a marketing ploy, they really do want feedback...
By the look of the images, it seems that the Trinty has to be slid into the holder.
Now, I have reservations when it somes to plastic sliding against plastic, as this inevitably means scratches.
I doubt the reviewers will use their own Trinity's to constantly slide the unit in and out of the holder, but I certaily would not consider a holder which would potentially scratch my PDA after frequent use.
What is the 'executive' element of these holders?

good to know that you are the chosen one, neo ! ;-)
I currently use a brodit active mount my PDA. I also used the same for my previous phone (Prophet/M600). I've used these mounts for over a year and like PaulusUK I did not feel comfortable sliding plastic against plastic (and the brodit ones are very snug) but so far - no damage at all (and I use my PDA loads).
I will give some feedback about the new mount when I've had chance to look at it/try is out for a few days...
I've managed to use this mount for about 300 miles here's the feedback:
It's a lot more durable than it looks on the pictures.
It's very adjustable and tightens up easily and nicely.
The slide in fit is secure and maybe not quite as tight as the brodit I do not see any problems with scratching although I will keep testing over the months and report back if anything happens.
The ball joint and extendible arm are nice touches.
The suction cup is one of the strongest I've seen although not quite as strong as the RAM version I cannot image it ever falling off.
It's virtually vibration free, you get a touch of vibration at times although it's nothing I could really complain about (it's loads better than the RAM).
I've used over 15 different mounts over many years and in summary this one is neat strong and does the job very well. I recommend it.
If anyone has any questions please just ask and I will try to help.

No problem pushing on the screen. But if you have the arm extended you need to push it back first, then it's solid (hope this makes sense).

Yeah I think I understand. The extension is not fixed.
best pda mount ever (in my opinion anyway)... i bought it from the uk via ebay
http://stores.ebay.com/Buybits-GPS-Navigation-Store
search for keywords "bb deluxe magnetic mount"
it's magnetic and the pda mount is covered with soft rubber (or foam) so you don't need to worry about scratches. all you need to do is attach a small piece of metal to the back of your pda.
Hello all,
This is my dilemma. I have the opportunity of upgrading my O2 XDA II Mini and these are my two options:
1. Dopod 838 Pro selling around $400.00 NEW
2. TYTN II selling around $1000.00 NEW
What would you do and why ?
Some criteria of what you're looking for would help us help you.

sorry.....that would help....lol
ok first of all the Dopod is way cheaper, so it is a winner there.
things to consider:
1. features
2. performance
3. value for money
4. reliability
5. accesories
6. ease of use
features, in my opinion, is really the tilt + gps, vs infrared, which the TyTN doesn't have anymore. Another thing is that the TyTN 2 is much more finger-friendly, with its bioscroll implementation. Performance wise, it's better on TyTN 2, obviously, but it's not worth the price difference. value for money, dopod would win over the tytn any day. reliability, the tytn 2 wins out, most probably because of double the RAM. Accessories, don't really use any except my lanyard for several years now, so can't really comment. ease of use is similar, but the TyTN II has a better keyboard, IMO. Really, if you're looking for value, then the 838pro's your ticket. I say the TyTN ii is better, but not THAT much better as to get double the price.
ok what about any flaws they might have?
i have been doing some research on the tytn and found out that it has problems with:
performance
touch screen
ive seen these clips on you tube:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=Xeb8-m5opDA&feature=related
http://youtube.com/watch?v=WhHG377wkQU&feature=related
now i dont know if these vids are correct but if they are, there are some pretty serious problems with the tytn II
even comparing it to the magician (which i currently have), it fails
im currently trying to find faults on the dopod. i know it would have some
That's one of Kaiser's weird things. Some claim SERIOUS probs of this respect with their devices, but I and some others seem to have ours working fine.
Hey all,
I've decided that I would like to get an Orbit 2 vs. a TC. I think I just like the way it looks better. Plus it sounds like on average there are a few more build quality issues with the TC...
Anyhoo, anyone know where I can get my hands on one??? I live in the US and all I seem to come across is the TC...
Thanks!
What build quality issues on the TC? The only build quality issue I'm aware of is the volume slider that rattles on the TC, I don't know if this happens on the Orbit or not. What I do know is that the Orbit has the rubber on the jog dial fall off, while the TC does not have that problem (it's not a rubber piece).
I'm from Sydney Australia, I'm interested in getting an unlocked orbit 2 too. I have a friend in the UK who I can ask to get me one, but can someone suggest where in the UK to get one (other than O2 stores)?
Thanks
I am looking for a used (cheap) and light WM smartphone to comfortably fit in a suit jacket pocket for those occations, and with qwerty keyboard.
I am using a TYTN II now, which I will keep, but it is heavy and bulky.
Having my eyes on either the i600 or the s620, are there good reasons I should be aware of choosing one instead of the other? I can have both at the same price.
Right now the i600 looks most right due to being a bit smaller and lighter than the s620.
Anyone that have used one or both that can give some hands-on experience and suggestion?
Two Smart is good
I would suggest Samsung i600. I'm using this phone several years, used many other devices, but always get back to my old I600. And now more then ever I like my I600, thanks to Nokser, that gave second life to my Samsung with his WM 6.1.
Heh no this no suggest, but maybe ....
The I600 was sold before I got to it, so a S620 it is.
Maybe I'll add a I600 later to see which I like the most.
HTC S620's keyboard is neater than any other smartphones made by samsung and blackberry(also manufactured by HTC)
